He was 100% right when he said that about Bundy. Many people have misinterpreted this as being manipulated by a charming psychopath but I don't see it that way, he was just being respectful and honest, as he had always been throughout the trial. That was his true character.

I have always had such a huge amount of respect for Judge Cowart (RIP). He oversaw the trial of the century with wisdom, firmness, common sense, compassion and an endearing respect for everyone in the court room, even the monster himself. I wish there were more judges around like him.
Yes he did. I think that's what I liked about him, when he was in the court room he didn't throw his weight around, he acted like just a regular person, he had a level of empathy that I have never seen in any other judge to date. He truly was a very remarkable and kind man. RIP Judge Cowart.
From what I recall and remember and I could easily look it up I think the judge died before Bundy went to the electric chair. Carrol correct me if I'm wrong and again I probably should have looked it up before typing this!
I think judge cowart was a great man he never got flustered was very in control and a very topman in his field with humility....
