Getting my CS tomorrow. Can't wait to spend the whole day just playing around with it. I have a feeling the Reface family will become legendary at some point in the future.

Its analogue in nature plus a whole lot MORE. Thats why its so appealing despite lack of patch memories and small keys. Ive played alot of VAs and real analogues like the MiniMoog and Juno 60. They have nothing on this. And to be honest im old enough to know if you went back to 1981. put this in an EXPENSIVE CASING you know with wood panelling and shiny knobs like a prophet. Give it 49 full size keys and patch memories.People would worship it and it would have become an INSTANT ALLTIME CLASSIC. Because the sound of this synth and the sonic versatility leaves every analogue of yesteryear for DEAD. If has such a sweet smooth filter. Fat bottom end. It sounds incredible. Can do great analogue style drum kits, killer bass and lush, lush pads and amazing effects.
Anyone who passes this by because of its size and lack of patch saving is a fool. Never, never, never will 500 dollars buy you a better 8 note poly analogue sounding synth. Thats so addictive and hands on. I couldnt stop playing this the first time I got my hands on one.

I love my cs. Probably my favourite. It's cost me thousands to discover £250 would have been enough.

Getting one for the pads and softer complex sounds. Most digital pads are harsh, prominent in the higher frequency range, whilst this has depth.

There isnt a better analogue synth than this ever been produced for under a grand. its incredible. Its as phat as a moog. More versatile and totally portable. This should.become the best selling analogue synth of alltime.

Can you add a microphone to this synthesizer? Like can you plug into the yamaha cs and sing along while you make tunes and sounds on the cs?

That was the Reface DX making that sound. He had the digital delay turned on. Yamaha uses a set memory space for the digital delay, and when you adjust the delay time, it just runs over that space faster - so if there are any wet delay sounds still in it, they play faster. That's why you hear it pitching up as he shortens the delay time. The CS has the same delay function in it. You can use this feature to make some really spacey sounds.

So you need an iOS device for patch memory storage? Oh well, it's still an awesome synth.

+slammah2012 as for myself, I have had 2 CS80s and a CS70m and Suboscillator was the term Yamaha used for Low Frequency oscillator (LFO)
Nate must be thinking about a MiniBrute
