I'm loving this kind of new "format" of videos.

    Naval news great information 👍
NSM is amazing missile but needs following updates:
    1. Rage 250 to 300 km (NSM-ER)
    2. Supersonic Terminal phase via Afterburner
(similer to how Club/Kalibr 3M-14E is subsonic cruise phase & supersonic Terminal phase)
    3. Submarine 533mm torpedo tube launched NSM-ER
(Launch system Similar to Exocet SM-39)
If the above updates are added to NSM it would truly become formidable Anti-ship + Land Attack Missile 👌👍🙂

That's not an update, that's an entirely new missile system. The Kaliber for example is between 3x to 5x the weight of the NSM.....

Nsm has an 180 km range on lo-lo-lo flight profile it can reach 500 km with hi-hi-lo which is good it can very easily be launched from a sub and Norwegian navy will probably do it and now for the second that needs an engine replacement different missile not just new version you need a ramjet you have a missile that's only about 4 meters so it can become 2 meters longer to fit a ramjet but not likely

Agree on range extention, but adding a terminal phase is like building a new missile. NSM also have manuevering terminal phase so converting it to a supersonic would not be a good idea not to mention the need to have a two propulsion one for cruise and one for terminal phase which could even more complicated. As for submarine launch, Kongsberg is already working for a submarine launched version of NSM for their future Type 212 CD. What Kongsberg need to do is install a detachable booster that could extend the range by another 100-150 mile in the lo-lo-lo profile and that same booster would also help the NSM launch off the LMM launcher. With extending the range, NSM would need a two-way data link they could leverage from JSM which also have a two-way data link for in-flight update.

@@georgen7467 the hi-hi-lo profile you speak of is for the JSM, the air-launched version of the NSM.

That's what I've always said put another 100km on this missile and it would be even more amazing than it already is .But LRASM is my choice tho .

You guys are such teases. The last couple of videos you use the Canadian Surface Combatant in the thumbnail, but in the actual video just mentions it in passing.
