Been inside West Kennet Longbarrow, lovely and cool inside. It certainly didn't feel hostile, more like the arms of the ancients wrapped themselves around me and welcomed me inside. My hubby didn't like it, it didn't feel good to him, but I loved it.
I totally agree, unless you spend some considerable time studying the site BEFORE you go there, so that you have some understanding of what you are seeing. But then you are prevented from getting in close to test any of your new found knowledge 😢
The enigmatic Silbury and cool West Kennett barrow. I have walked to the barrow a couple of times and it does have a presence - not sure how much of it has been reconstructed though. It is an amazing landscape though scarred slightly by modern roads.
Thanks for taking us to West Kennett Long Barrow- I’ve never been there before! The site must lose something from replacing stones with concrete. I’ve never heard of the smaller Silbury site. You can’t see Merlin’s Mound but Open Minded Wonderer has done 2 videos on the subject! It certainly does seem associated with it. Her last video showed the proof that it was as old as Silbury Hill! It is fascinating! Thanks so much!
Another interesting and informative video ,thanks Marq.

Just WOW ….. goosebumps 9:20 ❤
I totally agree Stonehenge is Britain's biggest tourist trap.

6:30 The Wow moment I MUST go there.
Beautiful video Marq! Nice to see your past visit there too! It looks like a peaceful place! All the best to you from Massachusetts!😊🌲🌳
Thank you Sherry.

Actually not much has been reconstructed but it did need strengthening so it wouldn't collapse.
Very nicely filmed. I like the use of the Clannad like music.
I had special permission from the Artist to use.
@@MarqEnglish They are very talented. Give them a plug.

Thanks for the info Diana.
The power and majesty of the area really came across in this video.
I’m so pleased that this is open for anyone to visit and go inside and not kept behind fences and barriers. I’ve never been but it’s on the list!
That List is getting very long Matthew but this place should be near the top.
But didn't the the excavation into Silbury hill reveal Azal the daemon. It was on BBC Three in 1971.
No that was in Devil's End near Hungerford (or Aldbourne to you and me).
Avebury and surrounds are without a doubt the most powerful places energy-wise in the UK.
Agreed.
