"Upper-middle class" humble? Certainly NOT in the everyday way of life...it's COMFORTABLE. Perhaps compared to where she is NOW it seems humble....yeah that must be what Tatyana meant.

Otherwise by actual socioeconomic standards humble implies living check to check in a modest to low income community and housing...like perhaps working class and under. Her father later QUIT his job to help catapult Beyoncés dream of singing which sure, lead her mother to live with her and her sister in an apartment which was even for a short period.
