Well TMS Studio is Not a Mid shit Studio AT ALL(They literally create Akira, Cowboy bebop, Conan like series with outstanding animation on their time ofc) . they literally have some good animators and directors that can bring the cinematic fight of SD on screen. BUT WHAT THEY IT'S THAT GIVE IT TO A DIRECTOR WHO DIDN'T DIRECT ANIME IN 8 YEARS. AND GIVE HIM SOME MEDIOCRE STUFF, NOT THERE BEST ANIMATORS.

@@anuragdas4605 TMS Entertainment did not make Cowboy Bebop (That was made by Studio Bones) and TMS Entertainment today are not the same as the ones that made Akira back then. They had elite animators in the late 80s to early 90s but those elite animators all went on to start their own animation companies. TMS Entertainment just does not have the man power anymore and the director Watanabe, Masaki has been a key storyboard director for a lot of good series (Fruit Baskets, Ookami to Koushinryou II, Jigoku Shoujo Futakomori) and if you didn't know storyboarders are basically the ones that direct scenes and how they should look so your analysis is just completely ignorant. Basically, you're giving TMS Entertainment way too much credit and credit them for shit they didn't even make lmao and when you do credit them for shit that they made it'd be work from the 80s. THEY ARE NOT THOSE GUYS ANYMORE.
Atleast the director seems to passionate about this project. At worst it will be just average. Hopefully s2 would be better because that's when things really start picking up in the manga.
The criticism is overblown in my opinion. I never had expectations for it to be like Dandadan, Demon Slayer, etc. Blue Lock has set the bar so low for me that I'm content with what was shown.
Okay, here is my thought process: I saw that the animation just seems “too average” for a fighting manga. And this is no ordinary fighting manga, it’s Sakamoto Days. Sakamoto Days had amazing fight choreographies, art, etc. Us as audience definitely had some expectations for the anime to be able to match those visions that the author shown us. What I mean by “too average” is that the main appeal of a fighting manga/anime is its fight. If the fight isn’t visually appealing, then I’m affraid that Sakamoto Days will never get the reputation that it deserves.

Yeah just the scene of the little girl hugging her mom outside the door of the apartment is probably gonna be better than any animation sakamoto days will have.

As a manga reader it is very disappointing that Sakamoto days is not getting the adaption that it deserves but we cannot expect jjk or Opm season 1 level animation with every show because it's just not realistic. The best thing is that at least they didn't ruin the show.
I was expecting at the very least a Blood Blockade Battlefront or Noragami level animation. This on the otherhand is just disappointing to say the least. Especially when you see the studio that's animating Gachiakuta (Studio Bones).

It must be some miserable people, who get a fix off chaos because every commentary/review of this anime had been about how great the story is and it’s popularity. There is no way in this day and age of animation, that it will be animated badly, intentionally. Some people just want to be one of first ones to either start a negative review/hate trend on something that hasn’t even started yet and not give it a chance. I get we’re entitled to our own opinions, but some people’s opinions are just awful.

It’s well deserved, BL s2 is the one of the worst screw ups in the history of anime. Im not even sure you can find another anime on the level of popularity as BL that was ruined to any degree as bad as this.
The manga is peak, the creativity of the fights is exceptional, especially when you consider there are no super powers in this universe and characters use only quirky weapons and environment (ok, people are cutting through buildings, dodging bullets, smashing concrete but it's the charm of the manga and typical sakamoto stuff). The problem is the same: terrible schedules and in this case: there are to many high profile/action packed shows that are being produced at the same time and there are not enough veteran/action-focused animators available, just to name a few: JJK s2, ChainsawMan movie, Hell's paradise, One piece, Solo Leveling s2, Fire Force s3, Gachiakuta, My Hero final season, Kaiju no 8 s2, Frieren and so on. Yes, the rise of so called "Hakuyu Go team" and "twitter sakuga" is promising for the future of anime, where young freelancers from over the world are given important roles in production and opportunities to work on demanding cuts ( highly recommend channel MankoMan when he breaks down the animation and other anime production staff) but... the schedule. I don't know whether Sakamoto Days has a good one, we'll have to see. Gosh, what i would give to have Sunghoo Park to be the director of the show, just look how good God of Highschool, JJK s1, Ninja Kamui first episodes looked like (the rest in ninja kamui is"questionable" because of the schedule and lack of other animators, Park cannot carry the production on his own). Yuto Suzuki (author of the manga) deserves more recognition and success. Btw. I need just one cut from Yutaka Nakamura in Gachiakuta and I'll be happy ;)
