Yeah man, this sounds like an above average HS band that is strangely REALLY well produced (maybe the children of a wealthy family that could afford it?). This group has grown exponentially over time and they would MURDER a simple pop song like this now. It would be fun to compare and honestly I always liked this song anyway so why not?
@@josephbarabe9129 Wealthy? The gear here looks like the combined cost wouldn't be over a few grand and they filmed everything in someone's living room. Nothing someone couldn't afford to get for their kids if they worked a decent middle-class job. As for the sound quality, you'd be shocked what you can do with a two hundred dollar mic and simple sound editing software like Audacity.

Watching more recent videos and music and I noticed her voice is evolving. Not really a change as many would amateurishly note. I believe it is an evolution from where she was as a younger singer. She will continue to shift and find more range than ever before. She started low and will actually get higher and increase her bass tone in the process. It's evolution baby! That will bode well if they continue with their throaty GIBSON and DRUM sound. I think it is fresh and comforting and is definitely ROCK!

Just enough "interpretation" while staying true to the original. Too many bands try to outdo the original of songs they cover. This pays full respect to the writers and creators of the song, but looks and sounds like, and of, First to Eleven. Very nice job. I'm off to see 21 Pilots in London in 3 weeks, and this is my favourite song of theirs, so thanks for a great cover :-)

@@polvocaolho5776 k so auto tune changes pitch not tone. Assuming she is not tone/pitch deaf then she should be able to do that reasonably well as she is clearly a practiced singer. Changing tone is wayyyy harder and therefore has likely not been done, as with auto tune it is possible to analyse the wavrform of the audio signal being tuned and just correct it to the nearest perfect pitch

I don't really like it when people say this cover is better than the original. I'm not saying it's bad, but for me tøp has this special vibe that nobody else has. For me this is a tøp song, and this cover is awesome, but for them it just doesn't has the same meaning like for Tyler and Josh.

The original just lacks that electric spark especially for a song with such a dark message behind it. So much that when the song "hits" it just doesn't have that much impact. This version feels like a buildup to that "explosion" which is why it's so much better.

I've spent two days listening to all your covers and have to say this is the best one. I love the original but this is diff take with a female singer plus I love the drumming. I'd like to hear it with just the voice and drumming.

usually i really enjoy listening covers but for some weird reason i haven't found a single one cover of heathens that i would like. only version of the song that i prefer is twenty one pilots one, the original. idk i guess tyler and josh just have that one of a kind sound and feeling in their music, that makes me feel very uncomfortable when i'm listening this kinds of versions of their stuff. just to remind that i'm not hating this, i just personally don't enjoy it.
