My favorite zoo here in Germany has an enclosure like this one. They have 6 ring-tailed lemurs, 3 black lemurs and 2 black and white ruffed lemurs. The rules in there aren't as strict. You aren't allowed to eat as well but interaction with the lemurs is allowed as long as they choose to come to you on their own. As a result it's a very relaxed atmosphere in their enclosure. In the morning they come out to sit in their tree, after a nap inside they sit in the grass to munch on stuff they find. When you are calm it's not rare that they sit down next to you while eating what they found in the grass. The female who leads the group of ring-tails sat down next to me once, put her arm on my leg and sat in the sun with me while leaning against me. I've been visiting them regularly for three years, I think they know me pretty well by now :)

Lemurs are my favourite animal and when I was there the walk through was closed but why?
No one could get in I went in last month
