I have ever been in this situation but i thank God my partner has always been understanding, cause we spend months and years together without going home to visit my parents, but when i decide to go, i spend even 4months and he understood that. Yes, before going he used to say oh, its too long, you can't be there for such a long time and i would remind him, "that's my home and family we are talking about, don't be selfish cause i spend most of my time here with you" another thing i used to tell him that time that we are just bf and gf, I'm not yet his wife, so if he pays my bride price he'll not let me go home 😂to But now that we are married, i thank God he took those lessons from relationship and he allows me go home, we strike a balance so that i don't miss home so much that i have to spend a lot of time when i go visiting.
