Gentle Monster does change the cases around each season, so the authentic ones can come in various cases depending on when you buy them. This season it’s comes in a black case.

i don't know how good they are sun-protection wise, but they're not bad for a cheap pair! they're kind of stiff and compared to the real ones, not as great but on it's own i would say it's ok.
do you know if the ones selling on ebay are real? there's this one seller with like 250+ reviews and their rating is pretty much 100%. they're having a 50% off sale rn for gentle monster glasses. i'm so tempted but at the same time skeptical bc they might be reps. but apparently they're claiming they're 100% authentic and they have a return policy so it's actually really tempting 😭
no, i wouldn't know if the ones on ebay are real or not unfotunately. it would vary seller to seller! I'm sure there are some real pairs on ebay so you need to be careful and inspect it when you get it, although fakes can be very convincing these days. best bet is to buy your own authentic pair tbh. i lost my real ones, which sucks, and it was far superior to the fake.
Great review! Do you think if you handed the fake ones to someone, they could tell its a cheap sunglass just by holding it? You said the fake one has a plastic stiffness to it and I would die if I got the fake one and handed it to someone and they figure out its not real xD
Depends on who you are handing the sunglasses to! If it's someone who has owns a pair of Gentle Monsters or if they've even had designer sunglasses before, they would instantly be able to tell it's fake. The plastic stiffness is what makes it feel so cheap compared to real genuine high quality sunglasses.

I've bought enough dupes and replicas to come to the conclusion that I would rather have the genuine item. This is my first time buying a designer item for myself so I wanted to take good care of them. I work outside occasionally and get into accidents so I wanted a fake pair to wear when I'm working outside so I don't care what happens to them. I love my genuine pair - way more than I thought I would and I'm hoping to save up to buy a new pair soon.
I love my genuine Gentle Monsters and I encourage everyone to get themselves a pair! I work in a field occasionally outside where nice things can get ruined or damaged easily so I bought a fake pair to wear during work. The real pair are worth the $$

Good question - smooth! It's not stiff like cheaper sunglasses. The dupes are very stiff though. Quite uncomfortable.

My replicas are 1:1, not the box but the glasses themselves i cannot find any fault. Why pay so much for a genuine pair?
