This video is about 72 Most Valuable and Rare Postage Stamps from Germany. The German Empire issued its first postage stamps on 1st Jan 1872. This was a set of 11 stamps which featured the German Eagle with a Small Shield in an Embossed Center. Prior to 1872, stamps had been issued by individual German States. Bavaria state was the first to release its stamps in 1849. German Postage Stamps are highly desirable by collectors and philatelists worldwide. There are three major Germania types with numerous minor variation. There are also multiple surcharges and overprints. This results in hundreds of Collectible stamps. Many of the German stamps are unique and are quite affordable. However there are some ultra rare elusive stamps.
