I loved the fact that Pokémon can affect someone's life so much! Everyone who has or plays Pokémon, has been dramatically affected by the challenges and the fun of the many Pokémon games out there. Also, keep up the awesome vids!
to be honest all your videos are very fun to watch. What I especially like about this one is that it took me back to when I was young. I worked so hard collecting tons of Pokemon stuff, and it is a series I will introduce to my son when he gets into his toddler stage and up. Thankyou for making such awesome videos I love being able to remember my childhood and have others that feel the same.
What I enjoyed about the video was seeing how back then people back then would actually talk to each other and interact, instead of texting. I also like the how you demonstrated how most of the toys worked (even though we got the gist of them). Thank you for showing us this, it was very neat.

+The Empty Doctor one of my best friends has 2 gold cards. I think one of them is charizard. I remember when I was little I kept on asking if I could have it.
I remember these, it was a fun time in the 90's but sad some kids suffocated on one of the shells of the PokeBalls then BK decided to give anyone free fries to anyone who gives them the PokeBalls that come with the toys. I remember they refused to give anyone toys by saying they dont have any to give or just said they ran out and gave kids a sheet of cards instead of the toys. BK did come back to Pokemon for Pokemon 2000 and for the release of Pokemon Gold and Silver too then recently when Diamond and Pearl came out.
JezzeBoy how in the world can you suffocate on the pokeball? I'm sorry but those thing are pretty big to fit in a kids mouth. Oh well, since that the surprise of not knowing what pokemon you were going to get got ruined
Actually, I think the kids Suffocated by Putting the PokeBalls OVER their mouth. Because those kids were really small, and didn't know better. I'm pretty sure they put it over their mouths & nose, then it somehow got stuck? Then they Died... Which is really sad. I'm not sure how old you were when it happened? But it was on News & the toys got Recalled.
As a child I was always fascinated how the toys were on display, how you opened your bag and immediately reached for the toy inside, one day all of that went away when I went to the other side of the cash register and saw the cashier reach down towards a bucket (a laundry bucket) and to my dismay I saw her unemotionally, and with no enthusiasm grabbing a toy and putting it inside the meal bag. I was forever scarred.
That Nidorino keychain was the first toy I got from Burger King. I loved it and wore it on my backpack for most of my early school years, but then I lost it :'(
I remember golden cards. I never owned one personally, but a friend of mine had a Pikachu gold card; he would let me hold onto it for a few days every once in awhile. Even though I wasn't an avid fan of the show even then or even a card player in the slightest, I always enjoyed holding that card for awhile. Every I hoped he would forget I had it in my possession and I could keep it, but he always came back for his stuff in the end. But the Pokemon toy I did own was the Pokemon Pikachu pet, I held on to that thing for YEARS!!!

I enjoy all of your videos, your voice is beautiful and the pokemon information you give is very good. I particularly liked this video because I was too young to understand pokemon at the time, and I wish I could of been there to collect some of them. Especially before they were recalled. Especially slowpoke. I love slowpoke. I LOVE SLOWPOKE OMG. Here, I will write a poem about Slowpoke because I love him. Slowpoke is so very slow He does not rush, no where to go So very cute with that derpy grin Slowpoke with 2 evolutions is total WIN! What I enjoyed most about this video is the nostalgia to it. I remember always dragging my grandparents to Burger King just so I can get the Pokemon toys! I never got them all though :/
I remember in like the 4th grade, my sub teacher had a raffle to give away like 6 of these toys(He often times went to McDonalds cuz happy meals were only $1.99 and were cheapest). And I got the light up charmander and was the happiest kid ever! I remember thinking that I never win anything but this day was so cool! I wore the ball on my belt everywhere I went for awhile to say the least.
Ok I,found it, It appears to be a jigglypuff. The Box is very very very nice and it was barley dirty and Looks if it was only opened once. The pokeball was still in it's original packaging Again unopened. Pretty Cool
Kind of wish they made more light up figures. A Scyther one would have been cool to see. I would not be surprised if that was one of the considered Pokémon light up figure ideas before it was scrapped.
it's only gold plated, not solid gold. Gold plated/gold leaf isn't as expensive as solid gold-and there is a abundance of these gold cards so they don't go for much. It's a shame seeing as I have the full set with some extras..
I like the toys because I never grew up with Burger King trade nights and it reminded me of the things that i have missed over the years and I'm glad u showed me wat happened back then :)
Thank you so much for this video. I've seen small nudges at the good old burger king toys from people on YT and other places, but you really nailed it! This takes me waaaaay back to when i was a dumb little kid who let my friend hold my most precious toy ever, my sandslash keychain! He dropped it into the woods because we were sitting sort of in a tree hanging out over the forest and he just dropped it like nothing and apologized afterwards, but that wasn't enough, i never found my dear little sandslash again and the pain still sits deep within me, a day doesn't go by without me missing that good old toy.. This video just brought back so many good memories of the times i had with Sandslash.
I remember having tonnes of these!! Including 2 of the gold karat plated Pokemon, I can't remember which ones I had but I wish I still had them, my mum gave them all to my cousin coz she said I was getting too old for pokemon, they'll be long gone but I loved them! Aww man, that was a trip down memory lane! Only reason I ever went to Burger King as a kid was for Pokemon. Never went to a trade night but I didn't have to. One of the more popular Burger Kings in my area had an indoor playground (it rains a lot here) & all you had to do was bring your Pokemon collection up to this big flat patted area that I have little idea what it was used for. It was like a higher up room that lead to different slides & such. We would gather up there, complete strangers who all were there for Pokemon & we would trade cards & different things.
I saw some BK Pokemon toys at a college trip (with Star Wars: The Phantom Menace toys), and a sign asked, "Remember when the toy was more important than the food?"
i remember those gold things. I had one. I didn't realize I was holding real gold even though it's worthless. These bring back so many memories. I remember buying one of those starter deck packs where it contained two decks one with machamp and the other was a water deck. It also had like a rule book, mats, damage counters, and a video that showed you how to play. The video was a good flash memory. I remember watching the video where it showed kids who talked about why they like pokemon and who there favorite pokemon was. I was so jealous because they had good pokemon cards.
I wish I could have been in the time where Burger King had this. I liked your video and the way this had showed me how awesome pokemon was and also how Burger king did the Trading Night. Thanks Brandon.

OH WOW, nostalgia hit! My older brother collected a ton of Pokemon stuff when it first came out. I remember he had a Butterfree and Golbat bean-bag toys, and I still have hist Seadra and Blastoise squirters and like 3 spinning Clefairys. He had only one gold card, Charizard, I think, and I was given one by my friend. I had no idea it was real gold! I need to find those again X3

That's awesome! I had Pikachu and Gengar spinners and the Kangaskhan keychain. I now know their origins. I either wasn't alive or was just a baby when that stuff happened, so I have zero recollection of getting them.
I only have 4 left in my collection: Sandslash (Keychain), Kangaskhan (Keychain), Poliwhirl (Beanbag), and Seadra (Squirter). These were all my favorite, and I'm still glad to have these and the plastic Pokeballs!
I never got any of these myself, but my older cousins gave me a few when I turned out to be a Pokemaniac. I had the Koffing and Tangela Spinners and the Mewtwo light up. They were pretty neat. I'd like them to do something like this again, even if it means going to Burger King.

I got one of those golden cards, at an antique store for 9 dollars; it is Poliwhirl. Really fun to look at
I thought the part when you did the spinners was pretty funny. I wish I was older in the 90's. I also thought it was cool to see how fast food companies used to give away good stuff in kids meals.

the trick to getting the mewtwo was to ask the person to feel the blind bags for a cylinder shaped one, which was the green lab tube unique from the pokeball sphere
