If I’d been allowed to wear a mask when I was a little clarinet prodigy playing Mozart and Weber I wouldn’t have been anywhere near as much of a nervous-wreck-headed-for-a-career-ending-breakdown cliche! Brilliant as always!!
I am doing an analyzing project. Does anyone know which version this is? I thought it was Peacock Tales: Concerto for Clarinet and Orchestra. But it should be an unaccompanied solo in the beginning. I didn't find the other two clarinetists' parts anywhere.
Does anyone know where I can get the entire Orchestra score and sheet music for the clarinet and the orchestra and the conductor score for this I want one of my friends to learn the clarinet part and perform it with an orchestra it would be awesome if someone could provide the link to where to buy it
Anyone who has followed Martin Fröst's career knows that he's into a lot of different genres, including contemporary pieces, and also theatrical/visual performances. Trust me, he didn't "have" to do this. He wanted it! Actually this concert was written directly for Martin.
Imagine being in his shoes and playing Mozart, Weber, Copland, Nielsen hundreds of times along the years. This piece suits his character and is actually fun to play, especially with such great orchestra and production. Plus, he gets to conduct it himself, adding to the great end result. He wouldn't be my first choice with Mozart or Brahms (no hate) but definetely would be with this.
I would give a kidney to watch this live. Come to New York!!

Michael Jackson would love this!
I was once also a fan of Michael and now of Martin. Martin has many talents and is also a professional dancer.

Why does Martin Frost have to play such nonsense and dress up like Baphomet? He is such a great clarinetist does he really need to do this? Bill - Uk
It's not nonsense, and it's just a bit of fun
that would just mean Frost is buying into Hillborg's artistry. No composer can force a renowned soloist to do nonsense they disagree with

Salty!!! :P
All these flavors…
So many.
And you choose to be salty. How sad.
