Only 2 small areas of wet-concrete fill left to do, at either end of the East Stand. There's some silvery insulation that's been applied just to the south side of the SW Tower Crane. Expect the SW truss to go up this week and not long after that the SW tower Crane will be dismantled, allowing access for a very large crawler crane to pick up and place the West Stand roof sections currently being constructed on the West Side ground.

The popular opinion for the last week or so is that it's actually an open area for the services and plant machinery cooling and/or exhaust. So that steel work provides a floor and a screen, which will align with the top edge of the West Stand.
Hi Nick. Aberdeen FC fan who is enjoying your stadium videos, hoping my club eventually gets its finger out to get on with building our new stadium. My question is, the tunnel access road under the east stand, will that remain when the stadium is completed to allow ground staff equipment such as pitch lights to be moved into the stadium bowl, or will there be another access point? The current location seems to be quite close to the centre of the stand where more prime seats could be located.
Every time I see another video, it looks even bigger. But where is the tunnel where the players come out? Is it going to be in one of the corners or in the middle and which side is the dug out going to be.
Great coverage of the build well done 👏 Has the club said if it's potentially looking at installing rail seating at all, and would this likely increase the capacity? Seen it's in trials at other grounds around the league.
Brilliant work Nick. Now that there are three roof sections lined up on the ground outside the west stand its clear to me that they are hinged and the top part will fold out 180 degrees to create the inner edge of the roof. As the pieces are very differently shaped from one another it seems to me that they will be installed with gaps between then that will have further trusses added, just as with the north and south stands. ⚠Warning at 6:30 - I've read about UA-cam channels allegedly being demonetised and receiving copyright strikes for using music from Apple's iMovie program and wouldn't want that to happen to you! (just in case that's where it came from!).
Part right, part wrong. It's designed to be a cantilevered structure. The steel structures currently constructed on the ground will be the 'weight/force' down on the West Side of the West Stand top steels/seating and then new additional steels will be added towards the centre of the ground. That's not a hinge. You are correct about the very differently-shaped trapezoid steel structures and we can expect them to be mounted ''every other' section, with steels then added separately in between.
The official EFC video describes those steel sections behind the west stands as roof barrels. As I think Dave Braddock says, they will possibly be connected to the back of the steel raker beams, and I think more steel added underneath to attach to the concrete floor. Then they will be adding roof rafters in sections, with a tip on the end. Somebody else mentioned that the 3 roof barrel sections may actually be going in the south west corner where there is a gap…intriguing to watch the progress anyway…
@@iang3048 I stand my ground: those structures are definitely going on the back of the West Stand top tier seating steels, as per the green objects at about 23/24s in on this video: ua-cam.com/video/_sxq8AkmJ0A/v-deo.html

It could be both - there’s a gap between the back frame of the south stand and the most recent truss. And looking at the design documents, there’s a pic of the south east corner which has sections which look a similar shape to those behind the west stand.

The blue 'stantions' (stanchions), as you describe them, are support structures for the 15 truss sections. There are 4 blue support structures for the North Stand for the 6 truss sections/2 full trusses, and that is all for the North Stand. There are no 'new' blue structures at the North end. There are 6 blue support structures for the South Stand. 4 of them currently support the first 2 fully-mounted trusses/6 sections and the other 2 blue support structures await the last 3 sections to complete the 3 trusses/9 truss sections for the South Stand. The first of those last 3 sections should be going up any minute.

Spurs is more glitzy but for me it looks too much like an American Football Stadium whereas BMD is going to have a more traditional English 4 sided stand feel to it albeit with the angled in-filled corners.

It was obviously a spoof, from the get-go. Anyone with a history of observing the updates would know that the spoof photo was nowhere near any similarity to BMD AND it's a very, very long way to go before they get to seat installations.
There are to be plenty of lifts. They just haven't been installed yet and when so, you won't see them from the outside anyway as they're in contained shafts.

I have an idea we should create mini streets around the stadium and name them after Goodison streets such as Bullens Rd etc Gwladys Street etc.
All the talk about Spur's great stadium.........Bramley Moore so more superior.
Spurs is more glitzy but for me it looks too much like an American Football Stadium whereas BMD is going to have a more traditional English 4 sided stand feel to it albeit with the angled in-filled corners.
Awesome video Nick but what is the name of the second song please?
Hi Chris, it’s shown on the video when the music starts 👍🏻
@@misterdroneuk thanks
Nick, you mentioned that somebody said it was 3 or 4 months ahead of schedule. But I was listening to TalkSport today and they said it won't be ready in time for its scheduled opening. Who is telling the truth? I am guessing the TalkSport version was crap because they don't seem to like us, but who knows?
2011 that pic allegedly
Hi Nick, Will the stadium really be ready for the 24/25 season?
What colour is his drone 😊
That's the plan.
What do they do when a ball gets kicked into the Mersey ?
I see no seats 😂, both blue towers up no would suggest the two trusses being up next week and the last piece to follow, great to se the west stand too
Think weather forecast will delay this a week or two.
Creed 4 setting coming 2024
Alright Nick great footage as always I think the seating you mentioned is a sample to show what the seating will be like in the stadium it is just the other side of the site boundary wall
Nope the 'joke' obstructed view was Poznans stadium.
Nick the photo you referenced has seats something you won’t see at bmd, complete fiction to fool the other half 🙄
It was obviously a spoof, from the get-go. Anyone with a history of observing the updates would know that the spoof photo was nowhere near any similarity to BMD AND it's a very, very long way to go before they get to seat installations.
it'll be a top championship stadium next year
YAAWWNN!...Zzzzzz....
I still maintain that the east and west stands have room for expansion in the future.
I think the roof might be an issue but it’s something I’ve been thinking to
Anything is possible if you spend enough.
Obviously no lifts in the stadium as I see a lot of staircases.
There are to be plenty of lifts. They just haven't been installed yet and when so, you won't see them from the outside anyway as they're in contained shafts.
There's at least 3 shafts in each corner plus a couple more in centre of west and east stands.
Why does everyone announce what team they support?
Nobody cares.
Will be one of the best stadiums in the Championship
There’s always one berk who says that for every single video update. Will you promise to come back next week and say it again?
...only if he's let out on day release....or parole....
That faux brick work will not age well. Whenever it's used it's not long before it starts fall apart.
Thank god its not faux brick then.
@@palez1046 When you see gangs of bricklayers working on those 'walls' in the traditional sense post some footage and I'll withdraw my criticism. Until then you're confusing tiling with bricklaying.
@Henry B - lasts just as long as traditional- both require maintenance.
Faux implies false, they are real, engineered bricks set in concrete, why should their life span be compromised if they are the same product??
Henry B....your comment's just fell apart!....
Could they call the west stand the Liverpool stand ? its a bit shitty being called west, east, north and south stands !
You couldn't do anything more shity than call a stand in the new stadium after you're closest rivals.
Do you realise what you just said 😂
The stands haven’t been given any official names yet. I’m sure they will eventually. For the time being, geographic accuracy is exactly what’s needed.
What's this going to be, a 55k capacity?
