What a great film. So well done. Excellent work Colin. And Jackie - You are such a beast and an inspiration to so many people. This was so fun to watch. And remember, how many times we fail to achieve a goal isn’t important. Our persistence to never give up is. 🙌🏼

Thanks for sharing - congrats on finding your (current) limit and undoubtably pushing past it in the future. Congrats to your son also for putting this film together so well to tell your story.

Awesome video! What people don't know who don't do these is there is two kinds of motivation. There is this very positive, inspired, pure type of motivation that comes from accomplishing a big goal (AKA - doing well in your A race that year). That motivation is very clean and it can take you far. Then.....then there is this other motivation. It comes when you don't perform how you feel you should (DNFing a race only levels it up) and it's raw, dirty, and it's deep. It gets in your bones. That motivation takes you places you never thought you could go. As much as I hate failing I LOVE the offseason that follows. That raw energy and motivation.....very few people in this world ever get to experience that. Get after it:)

🙌🏾🫶🏾 absolute inspiration. Any video starting with, I’m a mum of four = and then doing an ultra is incredible. The effort to get back from injury and on the course is amazing. Inspired!

As someone who DNF’d their first two 100 attempts, I’ll tell you - it gets better! We have to learn ourself in those pits.
A quote I love is, “Only those who will risk going too far can possibly find out how far one can go.” TS Elliot.
That day was 100k for you. Be kind to yourself- because that’s freaking amazing!

Way to push yourself to that limit! Next race go out walking if you can when you hit that point. The lows hit hard and then surprisingly a few miles later might be a high and you might be running again. I've walked 30 miles before the legs magically come alive again but man it's hard mentally to get back out there. Great work putting in the gym time and getting back to being such a strong runner!

Thank you for sharing your experience so honestly. It takes real strength to embrace a DNF - and I say DNF, not failure. You pushed through to 100k, and that’s an incredible achievement in itself! Huge congratulations 👏👏👏. I have no doubt that the 100-miler is in your future, probably sooner than you think 🏃‍♂️💪.
I’ve completed a 100k myself, and I’m now gearing up for a 100-mile ultra in Malaysia in February 2025. From your experience and mine, I know those last 40 miles are going to be brutal 😰 - assuming I can keep moving forward. But time will tell. I’m holding onto the thought that ‘pain is temporary, pride lasts forever,’ and I hope to remind myself of that when things get really tough.
Wishing you strength and success on your next adventure - I’m sure you’ll crush it!
