I'm not familiar with Bilt helemts so I can't really answer that. The SC1 is a safe helmet but being an entry level helmet, it doesn't have some of the more premium features that other helmets do have like MIPS, or Fox's FI pods etc. But for the price, it's a great helmet and really comfortable. - Chase

Is the MSR SC1 more protective then a Bilt helmet? I have been using a Bilt helmet and I am thinking about getting the MSR SC1 helmet.
