~~Don’t leave Istighfar
A man once came to
al-Hasan al-Basri and complained to him: “The sky does not shower us with rain.”
He replied: “Seek Allah’s forgiveness (i.e. say أستغفر ألله).”
Then another person came to him and said, “I complain of poverty.” He replied: “Seek Allah’s forgiveness.”
Then another person came to him and complained, “My wife is barren; she cannot bear children.” He replied:
“Seek Allah’s forgiveness.”
The people who were present, said to al-Hasan: “Everytime a person came to you complaining, you instructed them to seek Allah’s forgiveness?”
Al-Hasan al-Basri said, “Have you not read the statement of Allah? ‘I said “
Ask forgiveness of your Lord. Truly He is Oft-Forgiving. He will send rain to you in abundance; increase you in wealth and children; grant you gardens and bestow on you rivers.”‘” [Nuh (71):10-12]
There are two things in the earth that give a person safety and security from the punishment of Allah.
The first has been removed, whilst the second still remains.
As for the first, it was the Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him). “Allah would not punish them while you were among them.” [al-Anfal (8):33]
As for the second, it is istighfar. “Allah would not punish them as long as they sought forgiveness.” [al-Anfal (8):33] أستغفر ألله… أستغفر ألله… أستغفر ألله…
Do not ever leave istighfar!

Astaghfirullaaha wa ‘atoobu ‘ilayhi.
I seek the forgiveness of Allah and repent to Him.
(Recite one hundred times during the day)
It was reported in Saheeh Muslim that Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) said: “I seek forgiveness one hundred times in a day.” [Muslim]
Du'a for seeking forgiveness:
Dua of Prophet Adam (A.S.)
Rabbana zalamna anfusana wa in lam taghfirlana watar hamna lana koonanna minal khasireen [7:23]
”Our Lord ! we have sinned against ourselves and unless You grant us forgiveness and bestow Your mercy upon us, we shall most certainly be lost."
رَبَّنا ظَلَمنا أَنفُسَنا وَإِن لَم تَغفِر لَنا وَتَرحَمنا لَنَكونَنَّ مِنَ الخٰسِرينَ
[SURAH AL-A`RAF, VERSE 23]
Du'a of Yunus (A.S) repenting to Allah in the belly of the whale:
“
LAA ILAAHA ILLAA ANTA SUBHAANAKA INNY KUNTU MINATHAULIMEEN” [21:87]
“There is none worthy of worship except You. You are pure. Verily I am amongst the oppressors.” [Al-‘Anbya’ 87]
Prophet Muhammad (Peace and Blessings be upon him) said about the Invocation of Yunus “None who is experiencing difficulty employs it except that Allah would relieve him of his difficulty.” [At-Tirmidhi]
Nooh (A.S) asked for the forgiveness of Allaah The Almighty, repenting by saying:
Rabbi Inneee A-o’od’u Bika An As-alaka Maa Laysa Lee Bihee I’lm Wa Illaa Taghfirlee Wa Tarh’amneee Akum Minal Khaasireen [11:47]
“My Lord, I seek refuge in You from asking that of which I have no knowledge. And unless You forgive me and have mercy upon me, I will be among the losers.” (Surat Hūd, 11: 47)
We must recite this dua’a to have full faith in the wisdom of Allah under all good and bad circumstances because Allah is all-knowing; and humbly seek His help to keep ourselves on the right path.
Say: Allahumma innaka ‘afuwwun, tuhibbul-‘afwa, fa’fu ‘anni.
(O Allah, You are Most Forgiving, and You love forgiveness; so forgive me).
Say: Astaghfirullah al-ladhi la ilaha illa huwal hayyul qayyum wa atubu ilayhi
It says in hadith, whoever says it seven times his sins will be forgiven even if he should have run away from the battlefield.
Say: SubhanAllah wa bihamdihi
Whoever says it hundred times, his sins will be forgiven even though they may be as much as the foam of the sea.
Say: la ilaha illallahu wahdahu la shareeka lah lahul mulku wa lahaul hamdu wa huwa a la kuli shay’in qadeer.
And say the many other forms of repentance that are prescribed by Allah.
ALLAH HAS FULL ABILITY TO GIVE YOU ANYTHING YOU WANT! AND ONLY HE (ALLAH) HAS THAT ABILITY.
The Prophet ﷺ said, “Verily your Lord is Generous and Shy.
If His servant raises his hands to Him (in supplication).
He becomes shy to return them empty.” [Ahmad, Abu Dawud, Tirmidhi]

The Holy Prophet (SAW) added. “If somebody recites it during the day with firm faith in it, and dies on the same day before the evening, they will be from the people of Paradise; and if somebody recites it at night with firm faith in it, and dies before the morning, they will be from the people of Paradise.”

‘O Allaah, You’re my Lord, none has the suitable to be worshipped besides You, You created me and I’m You servant and I abide to Your covenant and promise as finest I can, I take refuge in You from the evil of which I dedicated. I acknowledge Your favour upon me and I acknowledge my sin, so forgive me, for verily none can forgive sin besides You.’

@@Bratjuuc It's not a bad thing, it's just it's better if you were to keep the sin that you made between you and Allah, so it can be kept as a secret between you and your creator. And to also ask for forgiveness rather than telling people.
Well considering that no one will ever know them from just an account and picture then it doesn't expose themselves if they say it.
Number two there are people who get courage from the group power which if a group of people do something good they will get the push to do it too so when they see a lot of people quitting porn they will do the same so it's not that bad brother

TIPS ON TO OVERCOME THE TEMPTATION OF HARAM SYAHWAT:
1. Stop listening to music, because music weakens the heart and distance ourselves from the protection of Allah, then invites Syaitan.
2. Ayatul Kursi therapy, recite Al-Baqarah cp 255 while placing the right hand on the chest, read the lafadz while imagining the meaning of the lafadz, per sentence.
3. Always pray early, then don't forget to recite the Ayatul kursi afterwards, so that you are protected from Syaitan 24/7, Insya Allah
4. Recite Al-Waqi'ah every day (+ meaning), only 10-15 minutes.
5. ALWAYS pray for help from Allah to overcome this addiction forever.

Very true. Stopped for quite a while but in lockdown the saying “an empty mind is a devil’s workshop” really became a reality. The video games I play have been quite dry on content too but overall video games are an absolutely amazing solution to this increasingly difficult to avoid sin.

I recommend an app called rewire companion it helps fight the addiction as it has a timer that shows how many days have been since the last relapse which really motivates me to continue as I dont want to return to 0 also has motivational quotes that are just fantastic and so many other features it really helps use ite brothers
Believe me, it's not so hard, sincerity with yourself is the only thing you need, and a strong will. If you are young (or old, always works), follow these steps
( p.s don't move to the next step until you are satisfied with your effort on the preceding step) :
1) Look at yourself in the mirror with a strong and brave look, it gives you the feels that things are getting serious now (then continue to do the rest of the steps in the same manner 👇 )
2) acknowledge to yourself that you can only stop it if you want to stop it. There is no other road, period. ( Speak to urself, saying stuff like; "You are ready to pay the price and lead your life as a great Muslim, I intend to sacrifice my pathetic and petty desire purely for my love and sincere struggle for Allah", motivate yourself, you can add a dua as well, I love this one "hasbunallahu wa ni'mal wakeel" or "la ilaha illa anta subhanak inni kuntum minadh zalimeen" REPEAT THIS STATEMENT TO ENCOURAGE YOURSELF WHENEVER YOU FEEL TEMPTED AND NEVER FORGET THE VALUE OF WHAT YOU ARE SAYING)
3) There must be something that you love more than such an act, everyone has it, could be anything, even gaming or watching movies, for the time being, even though they ain't completely halal, we gotta work with our situation, slowly, later on, you can work on getting rid of them as well. One step at a time. First, intention is key, then we work on making it happen. If you try climbing the stairs in one go, you will not only hurt yourself but you will not succeed.
4) Don't become hasty, months of repeating the same sin keeps you in a cycle of that sin, start with smaller goals, like 1 day, could be 12 hours as well, but something you know you can do, and will definitely do.
5) Congratulate yourself and make yourself feel rewarded, but then move on to a bigger step, like add another day, and then another, eventually you will be going weeks without committing the sin.
and most importantly "seek help in patience and prayer, indeed, Allah is with the patient". Dopamine detox works as well, you can search it up on youtube.

in addition, if you fail to reach your goal, no worries, repent sincerely, ask for forgiveness from Allah and start over. If Allah never gets tired of forgiving, you should never get tired of repeating the process. After all, shaytan's goal is not to get you to sin, it is to lose hope in the mercy of Allah after you sin, remember that.

Those tips are not mine but they can really help you if you apply them
Indeed pornography is not an isolated issue. It's link with others things like drugs, sugar, social media, internet and others "addiction". In fact those issues gather one big problem: the research of big amounts of pleasure with nearly no effort. I recomend you to get used to limit those activites and search pleasure in the little thing of lifes. So in practice you have to:
1. Organise a fasting when you stop all of activities with "high pleasure-no effort" where you can read books, walk outside, talk to your parents, call your close circles, learn about islam, Prophet (saws) his Companions (Ra),etc...
2.Build projects to come in the Day of Judgement with an INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL BOOK in front of Allah (SWT)
3. DON'T REWARD YOURSELF WITH the activities that you want to give up. Rather call friends and go outside to eat or something but try to stay with at least another person with you. Use your imagination ! Internet, videogames, manga,...etc dont existed 1000 years ago but humanity is still here right ?

Last time I saw for very long time as much as I can....but ultimately i felt monotonous dejected and depressed...it gave me a shameless pleasure for a while but couldn't satisfy me....then I went to my Salah....prayed from the core of my 💓 to Allah SWT I wanted refuge under his shelter....started to get up for Fajr and followed by reciting Quran everyday ...go to my Salah on time....follow the instructions of Quran and Hadid as much as I can...and Alhamdulillah after a practice of about 2 months I almost have got rid of this problem...and Alhamdulillah now a days happiness and peace have covered me...I always feel satisfaction and hopeful....
You seek help Allah SWT will help you insallah.

Suppose a person has committed the sin . Now the things he watched is coming to his mind. In this case what should he do?
Such thoughts cannot be helped. This is down to the addictive nature of pornography and can be totally, 100% unprovoked. It literally just comes about. Therefore I don't believe a person will earn sin if such thoughts enter their minds. However, they shouldn't entertain these thoughts.
If it happens, the person should say "A'oodhu billahi min'ashaytan irajeem" (I seek refuge in Allah from Satan the accursed) because it will remove the influence of Satan who may be putting those thoughts in your head. Recite other powerful duas. Be patient, let your mind move away from these thoughts. Remove yourself from the situation you are in if the situation is provoking such thoughts.
May Allah help us in our jihad against this disease and may He forgive our sins, Ameen.
