@geodeltalabs please do you do private lessons? I would like to know how to generate knickpoints in QGIS or how to do knickpoints analysis using QGIS. Or is it possible to do that for the public maybe there are one or two persons out there like me.Thanks
following your videos' for my cunrent Uni course . Really helpfull and informative , gotta say you really like this colour ramp you used on this project . You used this on many other of your videos . And at last thank you for providing the datas , its very helpful , keep on the good work. And 1 final request i.e please do some videos on ArcGIS pro
Hey brother, thank you for sharing this information for free, you're a godsend. As a geotechnical engineer, we rely heavily on GIS data but struggle to have the people capable of using GIS software even for simple things. Things like opening a map and marking up testing locations with a georeference to share with someone on-site. Or presenting a good visual on where you investigated. It's also really helpful to be able to import an image and resize it based on the basemap and georeference it - hence why I am here. Keep up with QGIS, it's amazing and you make it better. Thank you so much for your time and I would love to contribute to you, do you have a donation portal?
Hi, thanks for your kind words and encouragement :) are there any specific topics related to GIS that might be of use to a geotechnical engineer that you'd like to see on this channel (other than the areas that you have already mentioned?)
Your QGIS tutorials are the best, thanks. I have a lake with depth contour lines which have geodesic depth information for each contour. Do you think I could create a 3D model for it with that information? thx
Thank you for your tutorial but I have an issue with the thin plate spline in the toolbox because with the new version of Qgis 3.34.0 there isn't no longer Saga integrated with it!? :(
can you make video for qgis for(i have nc file for the world how can i make 3d map using this nc file for saudi arabia i want the mountain and landscap to show thats will hlep me alot )
i have a project am working on sir, like 1500 spot heights,am finding it difficult in practising this video with them, can u please help me,its a project i wanna do.,can i send the data to you sir
Hi, it really depends on the specific case. While at times one could rely on freely available digital elevation data products for certain large scale applications, getting a more accurate elevation dataset at a specific location would generally involve more complex and sophisticated methods which involve a combination of remote sensing technologies, surveying techniques, and data processing. Examples: Airborne LiDAR, Total station surveys, Differential GPS surveys, Interpolation from any existing data, land survey measurements etc.
If you are looking for the dataset used in this example to practise with, then I have included a link to download it in the description of this video. If you are referring to the methods of creating a dataset like that for a specific applied example, that would generally involve more complex and sophisticated methods which involve a combination of remote sensing technologies, surveying techniques, and data processing

Make more videos bro. Your explanation is the best for me
Thank you so much for yet another amazing tutorial.
The contours sit better on the model than the mesh.
Glad it was helpful!

you are a genius, thanks for this tutorial.

I wrote a comment to comment and give support. I am a follower. keep it up.
Much appreciated!

Thank you for this wonderful tutorial, My question is can we integrate this work with other GIS softwire say ArcGis for example?
Yes, absolutely! what sort of an integration are you thinking of?
Thank you for your tutorial but I have an issue with the thin plate spline in the toolbox because with the new version of Qgis 3.34.0 there isn't no longer Saga integrated with it!? :(
i have this question, too. I have struggled for this so long😢
hi where to find saga tool i cant find it in my qgis?

Hello, can we get old elevation data ? If yes how ?
Could we just use a DEM map?
Please how do you generate similar data at a particular location?

How to generate the csv input data?
