MUSD Elementary Schools Unite for Battle of the Books

On March 20, MUSD Elementary schools participated in the yearly district-wide literacy contest, the Battle of the Books. The event, hosting 140 students from Third through Sixth Grade, was held at Torres High School. These students showcased their understanding of 20 books they had read since the previous Fall. The competition comprised four activities, including an individual contest. Teams engaged in a relay race, worked together to answer questions about their reading material and raced against the clock to provide accurate and swift responses. Participants were evaluated based on their grasp of textual details and ability to collaborate effectively.
