I know in most Fromsoft games it's easy to dismiss throwing weapons, and rightly so. At best they're useful for attracting enemies from groups, or setting off explosive barrels and, if you're so inclined, triggering afflictions, but otherwise I get why nobody bothers with them. Curiously, in Lies of P they're actually fairly powerful. Naturally you'll want to favour ones that lean towards your preferred stats, but they're all much more viable by comparison to the Soulslike contemporaries. The fact you can buy infinite amounts of many of them (and are great for buying to use up any loose ergo after levels and weapons) as the game goes on makes them absolutely viable, especially for Advance stat builds. This goes double for the shotput. Quite literally a stagger throwable. If the boss is flashing/near stance broken, but you're too low on health or far to risk letting it go to waste? Throw a ball in their face and take that stagger.
So perhaps is this star that descended Sophia and the listeners mythologized? Definitely would put a spin as to why the alchemists approached the church when they first arrived in Krat. But the entire shore is this weird place out of time with all those memory statues. If the alchemists had cared more about it, it could have easily been a treasure trove of information and blackmail.
Merry Christmas and Happy Hanukkah. To you and your family. Hope you had a great holiday. These villains sre getting very scary.
Thank you very much! Happy holidays to you, too!

Yeah, I saw the shotput used in a speedrun, and it's pretty crazy.

I guess the alchemists just have different priorities.
