I love watching travel videos but find it hard to see how little genuine interest some youtube travelers have in local people's lived experiences. It was wonderful to watch this video and see the regard you guys have for the locals you meet!
I love Laos. I was there 15 years ago. It was very beautiful. Laos is a conservative and quiet country. Yes it is very cheap to travel there. I hope that Laos can preserve the charm. But in the face of partygoers a la Mallorca I have my doubts. What I see makes me sad. Please stay in Mallorca! Traveling in Laos is a respectful way of dealing with culture and the locals.
I traveled to Laos in 1975. I only stayed in Vientiane because of a great opium den a half block from my villa and it was the end of 7 months of travel so I was hanging on by a thread financially. What you said makes me chuckle a little though. I was in Bali, Java, and Sumatra, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore back then too. As the years go by I always hear people say 'when I was there back in.......it was great, but, ruined now.' I live in Cambodia now and meet lots of travelers who just came from Bali and i know for sure it's been heavily developed since I was there in '74 and '75 but people all say they love it. So even if it might have been what we think was better, it's all relative. For people seeing places for the first time it's still great. And I'm heading to Luang Prabang in 3 days and after some nearby more remote villages, down to Vang Vieng and even if it was a million times better in '98 I still expect to love it there. Everything changes, that's a given. We can still enjoy the good that's out there and I bet the people of Laos are still as warm and wonderful now as they were in any time in the past.
nothing ruines the natural beauty like a bunch of out-of-town enthusiest looking for thrills and a new place to party, that draws wealthy developers etc...
Wow, glad she was ok!...I was tubing down the Guadalupe River in Texas, the water was very serene but the under tow was no joke got caught up in it, not a good day!...
I loved Laos but I hate what some backpackers do to it. The Vang Vieng tubing goes against so many of Laos culture norms and rules... Laos is a conservative country of respect and humility and here are a bunch of foreigners half naked getting drunk and high to death... That being said, i am a backpackers dus part of the problem
Fourth time watching... (a) All the T&A; (b) Music in sync with video action. Bravo, on the music and video editing (AeroChord drop; SICK!). I enjoy 90% of your guys' journey, video, and music. We are visiting Laos between VN and Thailand next year. Why do you guys have so little subscribers.... Shit.
Thanks for visit Luang Prabang I used to live there for 8 yrs). Very nice clip I like it. Keep up a good work. Add the music from the region on the video, it will make it even better (it's call kup toom Luang Prabang ຂັບທູ້ມຫຼວງພຣະບາງ). Also, in the beginning of the clip you keep pronounce the name of the city incorrectly.
Really..!? Obviously this is the kind of traveler that should just stay home. He thinks Laos is beer and whiskey. Unfortunately, the facebook generation isnt interested in culture, only gathering selfies. Luckily, i went to Laos as it opened up to visitors, before facebook, and selfie sticks, and ignorant mommies boys and girls went tubing. Laos is a fantastic country, with beautifull archeological sites, and people with a wonder-filled history. Show respect or go home to your mommies house where you belong.
I know it would be a pain to bring one around with you guys, but using a drone for your videos may really bump up the quality of these videos. If you ever get the chance to film with one I highly recommend it.
You guys look like a bunch of bros that do nothing but party. Then you watch the video and realize that you're a bunch of bros that like to party but learn about and respect the land and the people you are a guest of. Great videos and thank you for taking the time to learn about the land and the people. Much respect.
Food Monster thanks Food Monster Bro! We are pretty well rounded. We enjoy a good party at times but would never prioritize that over exploring the culture and beauty each country offers. Thanks for watching. We will be releasing great new content soon!
Wow. Laos is beautiful. The scenery and views are gorgeous. Life is too short. You must experience the glory of Laos. Drink some Beerlao. The most famous Lao beer in the world. I buy them by the case in Seattle, WA.
My poor ASAIN PEOPLE we work so hard and even though we don't have much we work with dignity and pride and we don't GOVERNMENT assistants like those in america.
The government are too busy assisting themselves and this is one of the reasons why there's no government assistants. But if there are, many people will be on it as well so let's BE REAL.
There's nothing wrong with them having fun. Being in the field all day planting rice is not fun and most of you would not have been here watching these videos. Why would these foreigners come to Lao just to crawl in the rice paddy looking for crabs? Party on!!!
sera que es este tipo de turismo que qiere esta gente? turismo de borrachera. ojala los locales se deen cuenta pronto que no vale la pena comprometer su cultura y la belleza natural de Laos por unos pocos dolares envenenados.
I liked the video until you started to talk about Vang Vieng,,,what a shame of you guys,,,,I visited Laos in year 2000,,,when it was still pure,,,unique, an amazing culture experience ,,, people like you are just destroying such a rich and special culture and showing disrespect for the people living there,,,you should have learned from the culture there and work on your inside strength and not on your outside COOL look you try to show up,,,, what a shame !!! Grow up !!! plese just dont visit countries like Laos fs your intention is to party,,,do that at home,,,you ll spare the price of the plane ticket !
I love this simple lifestyle. Growing your own food and living the simple life. Peace and quiet in Laos

Thomas Kühn . Hello I'm from Laos . so glad you like Laos . welcome to visit laos
Fuck you, you know nothing about laos' brutality to its minorities. I dont take your words seriously bc you are just piece of shit.
Van Vieng was a perfect place when I went there in 98. Sad to see what it has become.
I traveled to Laos in 1975. I only stayed in Vientiane because of a great opium den a half block from my villa and it was the end of 7 months of travel so I was hanging on by a thread financially. Ya i was there in 2004, looks like it has been ruined. =(
nothing ruines the natural beauty like a bunch of out-of-town enthusiest looking for thrills and a new place to party, that draws wealthy developers etc...
Good luck with that notion.
I love Lao i Travel Lao many times, very peaceful country, Hop tourist dont ruin it like Thailand
Ask the Hmong how peaceful it is.
They won't. Laos is communist. They will have their own way. This is just taking care of business.
Nice video. Laos welcome all tourists so enjoy while you are there. Ignore the haters.
The rice paddies. So green and beautiful. Nice video.
cant wait, heading there next year
hope you drown OD or well you cant loose your mind cause that attitude shows you dont have one?
Wishing death upon someone for wanting to party, get a life man
that got you going drop kick!
Thxq for sharing I miss my country!
Wow, glad she was ok!...I was tubing down the Guadalupe River in Texas, the water was very serene but the under tow was no joke got caught up in it, not a good day!...

These videos are amazing! Very jealous haha
What month is best to go and visit Laos to do this?
We were there in July which was in their Monsoon season- still good to visit, but had to fight against rain a few of the days.
MrConwee8182 December til January, perfect weather ! No rain and not too hot !
I'm going in 3 days and the forecast is for no rain and temps around 80 each day of the month of November.
Well come to Laos 😊
