@@HowNowTaobao Taobao furniture generally quite acceptable in quality. The downside is the distance between China and Singapore. Any replacements take quite a while to cross the seas. The experience is also hit or miss. Great finds.

Yes I think that would be helpful. It’s daunting to order big items from TaoBao so if you can show how you order your furnitures, the logistics of it, shipping and were you taxed in the end, etc?
To be frank, buying from Taobao is really cheap, sea shipping fee inclusive. The only thing I find inconvenient buying from Taobao is you need to be quite good in Chinese, if you need customization and extra packaging.

Hi May, it’s true!! Taobao stuff are cheap but it comes at the cost of communicating/reading Chinese since taobao is a full Chinese platform. But I guess most of us Singaporean Chinese do have the benefit of at least knowing how to read/type Chinese, just gotta work harder to learn more!

That can put in & out to extend, what’s the name? 2) The versatile Sofa bed/storage space in living room, how is it? Is it comfy to sit in & sleep at night if required? Hi Vincent, are you referring to the glass partition with the black frames for the kitchen? If yes, the glass partition was done by our ID and part of our whole package but it was about $1,800 for the 2 glass panels :)

Hi Kristabel! We chose the 乳胶 version of the sofa. But yes, the sofa is less comfortable than “regular”/recliner sofas that we sit at our parents’ place. Oh, I see! We got the V12 black (hot wind + UV + light + 9 bar) model actually. Back then we didn't enquire with the seller whether it's suitable to use in SG but I believe we sent the specifications of the dryer rack to our ID to verify with the electrician if it was ok to install in SG :)

Hello! We didn’t have any concerns on that because we check the reviews thoroughly (can watch our “Don’t Get Scammed!” video on that) But when we first moved in, we actually discovered ticks in random areas around our house 😰 we don’t have any carpeted area nor pets so it was very unusual. Our only logical suspect was our TB items/packaging brought some in. So ever since then, we’ve unboxed our items outside the house 🥲
Ya! It was really perplexing because they appeared at random spots of the house so it was really hard to pinpoint or suspect the source 😩 now we have quite a full bottle of pet tick spray in our house HAHA 🥲

For the one at our entrance, we actually rarely clean it because we have so many things on it (and we blue tack them to the shelf). But so far it’s been not too bad!
I also buy all funiture other then the reno package of build in kitchen canbinets and wardrobes, the rest all from taobao even mattresses. One thing good about taobao you can measure the space that you have and order from TB customised to the size you need. Items like settee, blinds, sofa set, bed frame ........etc.

It’s not possible to change the website language! But if you use desktop you can use Google Translate to get a rough translation but it might not be accurate

Nice video. Like some of your ideas. Did you know that some there can be come improvements for your fengshui in your house? Cooking area cannot be directly opposite washing area. Bed headboard should not right next to the door opening.

Hello! I usually tell the sellers that I’m shipping it overseas via sea shipment and to pack it properly/securely so prevent damages. I believe some forwarders do offer packaging services at a cost, so depends on who you use. My usual phases are: 亲 这需要海运的，我自己安排，希望您能加厚包裹，打木箱，给我多一点的配件，螺丝钉之类的，谢谢 (Pretty sure I copied this from other taobao gurus too!)

Hi Jessie! Yes, the table is quite far from the backrest of the sofa. So for both of us if we use it, we won't be comfortably leaning back on the sofa and would be leaning forward (like in the video). The wood doesn't seem to scratch the floor, as much as we've used it. For all our TB furnitures, we got a TB handyman to fix it up! Hi Kristy, that’s great to hear!! Yes, finding affordable space saving furniture, that’s not built in, for 3 room is challenging! Hopefully taobao will be an alternative solution for you too! For the automated hanging rack, we got it from taobao and it was probably about SGD$100-200 (can see the item link in the description!) We got our ID to ask the electrician to install it for us! So it was part of the total costing.

Oh, I see! We got the V12 black (hot wind + UV + light + 9 bar) model actually. Back then we didn't enquire with the seller whether it's suitable to use in SG but I believe we sent the specifications of the dryer rack to our ID to verify with the electrician if it was ok to install in SG :)

Hello! We didn’t have any concerns on that because we check the reviews thoroughly (can watch our “Don’t Get Scammed!” video on that)
But when we first moved in, we actually discovered ticks in random areas around our house 😰 we don’t have any carpeted area nor pets so it was very unusual. Our only logical suspect was our TB items/packaging brought some in. So ever since then, we’ve unboxed our items outside the house 🥲

Yes, that’s true about shelves! For the one at our entrance, we actually rarely clean it because we have so many things on it (and we blue tack them to the shelf). But so far it’s been not too bad!
I also buy all funiture other then the reno package of build in kitchen canbinets and wardrobes, the rest all from taobao even mattresses. One thing good about taobao you can measure the space that you have and order from TB customised to the size you need. Items like settee, blinds, sofa set, bed frame ........etc.

Hello! I usually tell the sellers that I’m shipping it overseas via sea shipment and to pack it properly/securely so prevent damages. I believe some forwarders do offer packaging services at a cost, so depends on who you use.

Hi Jessie! Yes, the table is quite far from the backrest of the sofa. So for both of us if we use it, we won't be comfortably leaning back on the sofa and would be leaning forward (like in the video). The wood doesn't seem to scratch the floor, as much as we've used it.

For the automated hanging rack, we got it from taobao and it was probably about SGD$100-200 (can see the item link in the description!) We got our ID to ask the electrician to install it for us! So it was part of the total costing.
