Don't be sad. Europe is now dying too from capitalism.
@@laurentpaumier3103 Southern Europe perhaps, but not the Nordic countries - we have traditions to rely on, traditions of citizens working together to build and maintain and defend what we want our frameworks to be. Ok, there's a right-wing push in some countries, but it is not likely to last!
American Police Officer BANG!... "Stop or I'll shoot"
British Police Officer
"STOP!..Or I'll say stop AGAIN!"
En europa tenemos sanidad universal, no tenemos miedo de que un loco entre en el colegio de nuestro hijos con una escopeta, la educación es muy barata y para las familias pobres gratuita
if having no healthcare no security on streets no good food ofc america is number 1 please enjoy but i prefer to live in europe 1000 times
We have good food if you look for it, but yes, it's horrifying the artificial ingredients (preservatives, etc) that are allowed in our food, but banned in some/all of Europe. Yes, I would rather live in Europe!
@@writerbill1 Oh, yes: ¨good¨ food is indeed to be found in the States, but at far higher prices than the more standard and typical, not-such-high-quality, ¨American fare/cuisine¨ which many ( or even most ? ) people resident in the nation are more or less forced to settle for. It is quite understandable you should prefer to live in Europe; i truly do not understand how a-n-y-one might actually feel or think differently about it....
@@alexysq2660 Well, I would say let's leave good food aside, there are too many harmful ingredients, chemicals, pesticides from pest control and genetically modified food. This is all allowed in the USA and even claims that it is not harmful, but the facts are different.
@@writerbill1 I would certainly not say good food either.

Americans lives in the greatest bubble on earth😂 At least something😉
Wow that was an amazing way to put it!
@@meinm3575Thank you very much😊❤
Murica is No.1, at least on their own planet which is light-years away from planet earth!! # Mental isolation!!
Honestly, I've traveled the world, studied history and politics and my conclusion is that the US is actually a horrible place, it's not even a democracy, the most confused bunch of people I've ever met. No offense 😅
Surely USA is the greatest country in the World.. especially for those who do not know any other country in the world 😅
I've worked with a lot of Americans over the years. Same pattern every time. Come over, US is the best, followed by 6 months of slowly realising US is a nightmare. Worst bit is when they have to go back home and live in it - I've had them on the phone crying about how bad they now realise it is. So sad.
Education, crime, health care , real freedom. Not even close.
You can't even compare, in Europe we call it: "The Great American Lie"!
Can't drink a beer on the street but you can carry a gun😂
and if you drink beer on the street you go to jail
but hey, you can drive a 2 ton truck at the age of 16.
Beer is not mentioned in 2A.
@@burkhardproksch637 Nonsense. You might get a citation or simply told to dump it. Don't exaggerate!
@@wendyreed7265 Yes, the very idea of being summoned or having to throw it away is paternalism and the exercise of a will that does not exist in Europe. The very idea of drinking beer on the street in the USA and then being punished for it is more than just stupid.
And this is called freedom in the USA, it's just ridiculous
When I was young, I thought America would have been a cool place to live, Then I got older and realised how lucky I am not to live there.
same here. As an early teen i wanted so much to go live in USA. Now ... not so much. I won't even go on holiday for a few days there even though my kid has asked me to come with him. There are 4 places in the world I refuse to visit. North Korea, Russia, Middle East and USA
I come from a country where the population decides on the laws and regulations. Direct democracy. As 16 year olds, we can buy a beer in any store and drink it in public. I can say whatever I want in my country. This country has not been at war in 177 years. My personal opinion is that there are several countries in Europe that do it better than the USA. greetings from Switzerland
But we have a big problem called EU as a neighbor 🙄
Hello from Valais
Women first had the right to vote in 1971... But I would say you took a big step up past US 2020 with the revision on the Gender Equality Act, while US jumped down a muddy stinking hole equality wise. What I believe what US really could and should learn from Switzerland is how tho handle guns and gun ownership.
@Bookwright no country is perfect, except Utopia of course 😉.
Welp, you are living from gold stolen from Jews. That is the source of your wealth and possibility of being "neutral". Every country has its cons.
@@BookwrightWell yeah but were living in the present, history happened… it is what it is and we cant change it. But tbh, I kinda have to say knowing other European countries Switzerland is by far the best one ive experienced so far, for living.
I lived in Pittsburg, Philly and Norfolk for a total of 4 years. My husband was playing hockey back then and most of the time I was alone so I Never felt safe. The news were always taking about people shooting each other or school shootings. The cops when they pulled me over with their hands on their gun was giving me shit to go 10 miles/hr over the limit... Some Americans were nice but most of them were very condescending with me because I'm Canadian. They made fun of our money, they told me that I must live in an Igloo and have a and travel by sled. Always telling me how lucky I am to be in the US. They made sure I knew they the superior than me the little Canadian. Worst: One person didn't even knew where Canada was... Really!!!! I though he was joking but Nope he was dead serious. And omg their flag... It's literally EVERYWHERE. It was overwhelming.
Later My husband played hockey in German. I lived 4 years in Germany in the Bavaria region and what a difference. Sweet and very very nice and polite people. Amazing place to live in. I felt so safe. The quality of live is not even comparable to the US. They are curious about foreigners and ask question without judging me and never once they make me feel as they were superior than me. Best years of my life! I can talk for hours about how great Germany is. 10 years later I still have many friends from Germany. I miss Germany.
@@BP-kx2ig Yes. I'm French from Montreal so sorry about the mistake. Ah Man no one never corrected me not even my husband who only speaks English. 😂😂😂 Thanks !
@@BP-kx2ig I think we all know that Canadians mean ice, not field, when they say hockey. Although they do play the grass version - I have seen Canadian teams in the Olympics, and they do well.
@@catgladwell5684 Yes I do know what was meant. That was not the point.
@@BP-kx2ig So what is your point? You need to correct someone on their Nation way of speaking? I spoke with my husband and he did tell that no one say ice hockey in our Country. We say Hockey because it is our National sport. We do have field hockey but it is never as popular as Hochey.
So tell me what was your point?
@@Fujoshi13 Why this stress? There are countries they say hockey, others they differentiate more. What´s the problem in in being more descriptive - for the rest of the world? UA-cam is worldwide. So what´s the problem with having different ways of speaking. Autumn or fall? Football, soccer? Relax! I see nothing offensive.
"Is America Really Better Than Europe?"
No, it's not. Never was.
I honestly feel sorry for those who migrated to America under false pretense. But even more so, for the American soldiers who gave their lives for a lie.
i think that it's a very american thing to think, that america is better than everything else, but well, it's not.
and if you're an american living in europe i must ask you, where do you feel more freedom, in america or in europe?
America is in the first place in: The most people incarcerated per the number of inhabitants, the first place in the most expensive health system in the world, you have the largest budget for armaments in the world. Here you are the best.
You left out maternal mortality rate and infant mortality rate.
@@lanabmc3519 As well as the t o t a l absence of anything even *approaching* ( PAID 😯...?!! ) ¨parental leave¨ from ones´ job: not 30 bloody *minutes* of such, yet something which is an absolute guaranteed *right* ( in several countries, for BOTH [ ! ] parents ) in virtually e v e r y OTHER country in the world - including even some not-so-very-¨developed¨ ones....
@@alexysq2660 Agree with you mate. But the points you’ve made leads to the outcomes like the point I’ve made. Mothers are less likely to recover from a complicated birth if they’re forced back into work too soon. Babies have inferior care, problems binding and worse outcomes if separated from mother too soon.
@@lanabmc3519 What...? I well know those facts, re: maternity/mother-infant situations, problems and outcomes, etc. I am suggesting a need for implementing *within the US* more or less the Parental Leave programmes/systems extant in most of the world´s countries, although i very much doubt anything so ¨socialistic¨ as that might ever end-up becoming a part of the framework of the US, as so many of its people are THAT brainwashed, deluded and misled....
@@alexysq2660 The original comment was about what the US is first in the world in. They’re not first in the world at the things you are talking about - they’re closer to the bottom than the top. Because of this they sit number 1 for maternal mortality rate and number 2 for infant mortality rate amongst developed nations rankings. The USs failure to implement what every other developed nation has in regards to prenatal and postnatal care and employment rights contributes massively to their being top of those rankings
The blind conviction that the US is the best country on the planet, leads to stagnation.
If more Americans were able to see the US from abroad it would change their mind, that the time has come to improve the US. The unwillingness of reform makes everything worse. The USA become week. Other countries are leaving the USA behind. From shouting "America is great" it doesn't become greater. Masters become great cause they improve their capabilities the whole time.
@@thorstenjaspert9394 Exactly!
In order to maintain or progress you need to evaluate the current situation and look for ways to improve. The attitude that "we are the best" without actually comparing, or discussing if that statement is actually true will cause complacency and stagnation.
Got to love Jim Jeffries (an Aussie) sticking it to the Mericans.
Anyway....
Here’s a comparison between the USA and Australia:
The US Federal Government does NOT mandate a single day of ‘paid’ annual, sick or public holiday leave (all left to the discretion of the employer, if you’re lucky).
In Australia every person is entitled, by law, a minimum of 20 days (4wks), paid annual leave, a minimum of 10 days (2wks), paid sick leave and, depending on what state we live in, approx 10 days of paid public holidays, again, that is the legal minimum.
Healthcare - in the USA, no federally mandated universal healthcare for all, US citizens regularly file for bankruptcy over medical bills, even with private health insurance, they often beg others for help on GoFundMe.
In Australia, every citizen is entitled to universal healthcare, yes you can have private insurance if want, but no one goes bankrupt over medical costs.
Pharmaceuticals - the Government here regulates the price, no one dies because they can’t afford basic medicines, not so in the USA.
Federally mandated minimum wage, USA, $7.25 p/h, Australia, $23.23 p/h, we also aren’t forced to ‘tip’ minimum wage earners, we don’t have to make up for what their employer should pay.
On top of everyone’s full time wage is Superannuation (retirement fund), Australian employers are required by law to deposit another 11% of your wage into your selected Superannuation Fund.
Life expectancy - USA 77.28, Australia 83.20, approx six (6) years more in Australia.
US Americans often talk about work ‘benefits’, we call them ‘basic worker rights’, we don’t have to beg, employers are required ‘by law’ to pay a decent min wage, plus all of the other benefits (rights) that US workers don’t receive.
I could go on with many other comparisons too.
Bottom line, the life of the average Australian is far better than the life of the average Merican.
Cheers,
here are 10 small tips to any US citizen that wants to come to Australia.
1. leave your attitude along with your guns at the departure lounge.
2. don't panic! it will be there waiting for you when you get back, we don't want it.
3. you cannot buy a gun here as easily as you can in the US, nor carry a gun over here, this is not the wild west as it is in the USA.
4. enjoy the sites the food and the different cultures.
5. Australia has a culture, they have song, dance and food and we are proud of it.
6. The US has, Levi's jeans, McDonalds, mass shootings, guns and bombs and you are proud of it?
7. take lots of photos, buy the occasional souvenir.
8. when you get back to the US "the home of the brave and the free," pick up your gun and your attitude, you will notice it is still there intact as you left it.
9. Show your friends the photos and tell them you had a nice time.
10. Oh and don't forget to tell your friends you experienced real freedom for the first time in your life not having to carry a gun!
It spelt exactly like this, MERICANS!
Love the european way of life. Enjoying it, we happily pay for a safe and functional society/economy. Work to live instead of vice versa. Being a citizen/part of the society, not a consumer. Your work is just your work, nothing more. Property isn't that much a status symbol like in the US, meaning that Europeans were much more humble in my opinion. In the US everything is for the maximum profit. Don't get it wrong, social benefits aren't just charity... healthy food regulations are for the healthcare system, tax paid general healthcare insurance provide healthy productive employes, if you lose your job, you have a security net and prospects so our streets don't get filled with drug zombies, gang criminality, shop lootings during daylight, shootings, mentals etc like in the US. So we don't have to arm our (better trained) police like military units, build gatet communities etc.
If the USA was the greatest country in the world, you probably wouldn't live in Finland. It also means that you are smarter than most.
👍🏻
Nothing, absolutely nothing about the US is better than most countries in Europe...... "Far from worst??"... true... but not by much
We all know it isn't🤣 I don't even have to watch the video to come to that conclusion. I am Swiss. I live in Switzerland and it is great, but not perfect. No country is perfect. At least we don't claim to be the "greatest to have ever greated"😂
Do we spot humble brag... Betterness is a matter of parameters and my guess is that tweaking them would most likely give the top rank to the US, CH, or Noreg.
America is not even a country, but a continent. Speaks volumes about how people in the USA view themselves ..... Total hubris about their place in the world.
Last time i was in San Francisco 2022 the city looked like downtown Manila/Phillipines .
Dirty full of trash and "working ladys" homeless ppl and junkys and the food did make me sick bloated full of gas and powerless..and the internet connection was like a 3world country standard.
Only thing that was 1st world was the prices on everything..not the standard ...
America is really dying nowdays
Europe is much much better
In any field, if you are deeply convinced that you already are the best, you stop striving for improvement....
British person speaking here, i went to american once, and i can not ever go back. Weather is amazing, but i feel the US media hypes the US citizens to believe its amazing. Most US citizens dont have passports. So how can that prove anything outside the bubble for the US citizens :/ . Its literally a dome in the US. Ask any US citizens that travelled to EU ect.. they end up either staying there or going back there alottttttttttttt.
Same here, except I'm from the Netherlands, went to Florida once. Never again. There's just no comparing the two worlds; education, city building, communication, way of living. All totally different. The weather was indeed a lot sunnier (30+ Celcius at Christmas) but the airconditioning in houses still made me wear winter clothes. So confusing.😅 Glad I'm living in the Netherlands, even though the weather's always wet. At least our grass is greener than theirs. Literally.
@@Nathan_Bookwurmthe weather is 1% of life once you live a quality life.
As a german comedian once said ... "america is a nice country, the problem are the people living there"🤣
Personally, as an "old" european who has visited the USA several times over the years, the biggest issue is wealth distribution. Very few Americans, a few hundred individuals, hold almost all the wealth produced. However, this is a topic that clashes with the culture of the average American. The average Us citizens believe that if this happens, it is due to the achievement or success of the individual who has managed to become rich. They do not think that, apart from some isolated cases, this is instead due to the control that the richets people have over the government (through lobbying) or the economy (through concentration), and so, in the very end they control the democracy. And that they therefore continue to perpetuate an unjust system. But of course, this is a hot topic, and too "socialist" for their point of view. And the worst part is that even Europe is moving towards embracing this way of thinking.
All countries have problems, the problem as the comic said is that if you claim to be the best, you have nowehere to go, and you make other countries dislike you. Here in England we get cross at how you abuse our language, how you claim to be a unique nation, yet most of your law and goverment is based on ours, our common law is the basis of your legal systems, your constitution is based on the Bill of Rights 1688, and the last one, WW2 that you insist you won, which you did economically by making us pay for lease lend till 2006, however, we stood alone against Hitler for 2 years, with the help of our empire which the war cost us, to say noting of the Russians who lost 30 million citizens. I praise and thank those young americans who gave their lives, all of us alive today owe them the greatest debt but how about a Hollywood movie that tells the truth.
The difference is in the handling. We have our issues but we shout about them, we work to remedy them and bring about change to improve the lives of our countries. Look at the difference in school shooting reactions for instance. UK had one and there was real meaningful change, the US has had so many I can’t even count and it’s more thoughts and prayers. UK has gaps and failings in its healthcare system like every other European country but does at least provide it for everyone and tries to remedy issues in its running though not always successfully but Europe tries. The US sticks its fingers in its ears and ignores its faults while boasting about being the best. I’ve lived in both and you couldn’t pay me to return to the US
@@lanabmc3519 Wasn't there a claim the school shootings could be prevented if the teachers would carry assault rifles at school ? 🙃
@@Coercer2010 Of course there was. That’s the kind of mindset in the US

@@DashRiprock513you have obviously never been to Europe, you know that cheques are extremely rare and people pay with contactless care. Our pay is paid directly into our bank so you can use it 2 minutes after your employer pays it into your bank.
Not to mention taxes are directly taken out but at source so you don’t have to fill in forms every years.
As for any country where healthcare is not a right , it simply doesn’t compute for Europe. Public transport exists and is widespread and makes cars unnecessary in many cities.
Employment rights exist and things like sick leave, maternity leave are excellent.
So of course you’re so much more advanced than Europe.

@@DashRiprock513 wow , you learnt absolutely nothing. American is a rich third world country. Europe is actually civilised, they care for all their people. That’s the mark of a civilised country how they treat their poor and needy.
I have never forgotten my horror when I watched the poor and needy of New Orleans being turned back from a bridge to safety but rather corralled into a football stadium where they were not given enough to eat or drink. Then were kept there by people with guns. Where a young man who took a school bus to get his elderly and sick neighbours to safety and he was later imprisoned for stealing the bus, not honoured for his brave quick thinking that saved 8 lives. Where instead of help being sent, the national guard were sent in to stop looting, when no one could to get food you could be shot for simply trying to feed and water your family.
That whole situation would NEVER happen in any European country . America is very very sick.
Then there is Trump, the fact that such an idiot could become President once lost America so much respect worldwide and so much soft power, the fact that it is possible it could happen again means ALL trust in America will be lost, the fact that all Americans don’t know this fills the rest of the world with horror. America can just turn in on its self then and build a bloody wall around the whole country because no one wants the Americans to get out. Their obsession with guns and various addictions to drugs, guns, food etc means they won’t take long for them to destroy themselves.
Americans don’t know that is going to happen if Trump gets elected is such a failure and indictment of American society.

sorry about the grammer: i like to say that america is free to the far end to the point of selfishness where noone is united, everyone stands alone. here in europe we take care of each other BY LAW. for example you cant go around town shouting and following people around shouting the n word or calling other names. freedom? no. we can say the n word if the intent is not to hurt. people will judge, but not anger. because no one is hurt. that's free.
when my spouse had cancer everything is paid for. even the taxi to and from hospital. even my stay in the same room for almost 3 months. paid leave from work. yes every dutch citizen pays roughly 200 euros monthly for that.
if my neighnor has a nasty fall, he will get an x-ray for 'free'.
work and sick are much more combined. if you let the employer now that you follow the goverment program, employer has to follow for a max of 2 years. first 2 month 100% pay, then 70%.. after 2 years you get a document to get money from..long story but you are not let go without income.
so the neighbor is not going to worry about work and bills and maybe nurse for recovering at home. that is free. they will check if you have capable informal caregivers, if so, you get less time from nurse. even if the infromal caregiver has no time. but the local autority will pay basic salary for informal caregiver if you let them know. you have to ask for everything but everything is fixed.
a friend of mine works at a american company. these american bosses tried to implant absurt rules. his team laughed because it was againt dutch law. free? no. everyone has rules to stick to eachother. haven't even thought of guns until now can you imagen?
and ofcourse you have racism and abuse and all but its diffrent. guns are illigal so the hardest criminals has one. no drills, no zigzag.
so there is a fine line between freedom and selfishness. don't go to far. one more thing. IT'S JUST A FLAG.

I don't know what is the best country in the world, it's kinda hard to define, because there are many factors involved and the answer will be different depending on who you ask.
What I do know, the US isn't the best country to live in the world and there are too many reasons on why that is, whereas other modern countries seem to score quite high and in the case of Europe, they seem to dominant in areas that matter like quality of life.
Another reason why I don't think the US is the best, if the system has to keep re-enforcing the message that the US is the best, you really do have to wonder why they feel the need to keep drumming that message into the people, it kinda feels like condition the people to think it's the best, based on ignorance, and if you have to keep drumming that message home on the people, then you know something is seriously wrong.
Honestly thought, you can't go wrong with pretty much any modern country, as they all tend to have a high quality with varying degrees, but the US is the odd one out of modern countries that are missing too many of the basics that define high quality living in too many areas that crosses the US compared to a lot of other modern countries.
The irony is, if you look at other countries around the world that drum the message so hard like the US does, they are not countries you really want to be associated with, and most of them are either developing countries or countries that have governments that control a lot that goes on in the country, even throughout history we've seen much of the same, it's based on ignorance to convince their own people to think a certain way and not question the system, which allow the system to screw the people over, which Americans do get screwed over a lot.
Funny how Kim Jong Un claims the same thing about North Korea.
So sad that they still think that they are the greatest NOT
I totally love the song "America is a country on the list of countries!" If only that'd be available for download anywhere,
So true, when You love living in Your country, it's not important where it ranks...it's really completely unimportant. I have never thought about something like...in which place my country ranks compared to other countries...I don't care.
It's marketing for the corporation that is the USA. You live in the best country, just accept that and carry on buying.
Love hearing such an intelligent lad. Damn do you speak well. I try to explain the complex thoughts in my head and end up sounding like a stuttering, lost person who is addicted to going down random tangents. 😂😂
A god country ensures that people live in peace and are helped when in need, a country where people who have full time jobs are always able to feed themselves, find human worthy accommodation and pay medical bills without going bankrupt.
It is a clountry that invests in its future by educating the young, and helping people retrain if they lose their jobs. And that's only the beginning.
I lived in three different countries in EU and visited the US a number of times. I love some things about America, some kind of freedom of being who you are, the incredible kindness of the people and the mix of different ethnicities. I think America is a good country, but not the best for just me. The things that I´d lack would be the good food, art and history around me and free good healthcare and I would never compromise on these. I also have discalculia, so having to calculate VAT on the stated prices is a very unnecessary thing to me.
The actual Trueman show......... For an entire coutry.

That song was priceless 😂
Britain Europe and Australia are much better places to live. No community health care high crime rate school shootings mass shootings very expensive higher education.
The one with Trump was perfect😂
It's more of a 3rd world country, that's more like it.
Especially rural middle states. There was a UN health agency that made a report on living conditions in those states that concluded that it had similar conditions to 3rd world countries
People tend to say that in most countries - that it's the best, no matter which country it is. It's a way to foster national pride and get people to commit to the country's ideals. The US is a large, powerful country, but there are places I prefer to live.
You looked really uncomfortable at times, but don’t be, just embrace the truth and run with it. Every person outside of America will actually think you are as exceptional as you think you are, if you know you’re not.
Ah, now I love my Bosnia even more.
An example of the decline of America is that Americans are increasingly fascinated by films from Europe and Asia. Korean series are slowly becoming more popular than American ones. The beginning of the fall of the empire has already begun.

@@foreignreacts But just which is it that you refer to as being ¨the truth¨ : your *cringing,* or the US´s allegedly being ¨the greatest country on earth¨ ?? ~💖
Before i watch the video, just have to point out that your shirt/sweater is awesome.
The best way to love a country is to notice the flaws so you can always improve. No matter what, if you keep improving instead of being satisfied of what it is, it will be number 1. You can always get past number 1 if they stop. But you will never be able to if they continue to run without ever stopping
I'm from the UK (England) I now live in Germany. I've visited the USA many times and love it, would I live there? No, why not? Because it is too different to the way I am used to. No country is No 1, just travel and take a memory from all the amazing places you visit....but take them home wherever you feel is HOME.
It’s easy to tell people that they live in the worlds greatest country, when the majority does not even care to go somewhere else. Not even to Canada or Mexico.
Tell everyone they live in the best country, then don't give them paid vacations, so they can't leave to make comparisons and realise that it is sometimes okay and sometimes very shit.
Its not the people they are the same all over its the poor and corrupt management as always ! ❤❤
"great" is such a meaningless word...
its funny because its true
Wow, my deepest respect for your open mind. You have the guts to question things. Being open minded is always a good thing. America is number one says nothing. Number 1 at what? The biggest or best army? Could be the truth. It is measurable in sheer numbers. But other stuff could be taken into consideration as well. Like the difference between rich and poor. How poor are the people you might call poor. Healthcare for everyone? Freedom of speech and thought? The functioning of the government? Infrastructure? Job possibilities? Low crime rate? Quality of education? The balance between work and free time. Just to mention a few. As a Dutch guy I am extremely happy and lucky to be born in the Netherlands. A country that I consider a perfect mix between Capitalism and socialism resulting in a inclusive society where Freedom is written with a capital F and where the above matters are absolutely in good hands. As in some other countries like Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Germany.... To mention a few.
I visited the US in -89, work, and it was a time travel back to the sixties. Had to connect to a 'long distance operator' to call home, and had to meet up at the hotel reception to pay up front cash before the phone call was accepted. The taxis (cabs?) where old worn out junk, in Norway it was a Mercedes Benz. And in Norway I could pick up the phone and call anyone on the planet. There were piss drunk homeless people and drug addicts everywhere, even in the center of New York, And the way immigration behaved is a fookin insult. After that trip I decided not to visit the US again, ever.
America is other like Europe, and this is totaly ok! If all is the same, all over the world, nobody has a chance to elect a different livestyle.
Try "The Newsroom - America is not the greatest country in the world anymore". It's worth watching
Well, ´Murricca surely does *grate* alright.... ~💖
Egyptian empire lasted 3,000 years.
American has existed for less that 250 years. "GREATEST COUNTRY IN HISTORY!"
The United States, despite its largest economy and formidable military, falls short in various aspects crucial to societal well-being. Its education, public safety, healthcare, and transportation systems lag behind global standards. Despite this, many Americans hold onto the belief that their nation reigns supreme, yet it's evident that it's losing its appeal as a destination for immigrants.
Contrastingly, Scandinavia emerges as a beacon of excellence, offering superior quality of life across various metrics. Its robust social systems, education, healthcare, and efficient public transportation make it a desirable place to reside.
Moreover, the American democratic system diverges significantly from others worldwide. It's characterized by a stagnant political landscape dominated by two parties, yielding minimal change over the years. Surprisingly, many Americans seem complacent with this status quo, despite its limitations.
Nr. 131 in the Global Peace Index
America is a continent - the United States are a country.
USA is winning the hubris award by far.
SELF PRAISE IS NO RECOMMENDATION,,,,,,,
There is no such thing as the greatest country in the world. You can only compare or rank single aspects of countries, but not countries in a whole, and everybody (outside the USA) knows that.
So if people state that their country is the greatest country in the world, it’s clear that it’s from a subjective point of view.
The problem is: Many Americans don’t seem to realise this small but significant detail and seem to think that the USA is the greatest country in the world. For real. If my president says it, it must be true, right?
That’s like believing that you are the most beautiful girl in the world because your daddy said it. Oh honey…
Excellent comment. Bang on.
Whoever says that usa is better than europe clearly never was in europe.... dont know about the rest of america but usa is definitely not better...
Both continents have their pros and cons.
I would not move to the US for a million bucks 😂 no way in hell.
number one for putting people in jail...
I would assume that America is fairly divided, but youll do quite well if you succeed. I would argue that most of the people in the video saying that America is the best country in the world are doing decently atleast incomewise.
Jim Jefferies are so fucking funny.
BORA-BORA IS FRENCH ! ! ! The islands of Bora Bora and Tahiti, are part of France ! It's the french polynesia.
It's a beautiful place !
At some things America is better, at other things Europe is better, it’s complex.
With the exception of Ukraine and Belarus, I would rather live in any European country than in any American state.
No, America is not a country, it’s a continent, North, Central and South. Learn that first, people from the US!
so you live in Europe now? do you plan to get back to live in US after you`ve seen Europe!?
Yes when you look at the stats it a an average place.
Perhaps just a bit sub-par actually....
Dude, even some Latin American countries are better than U.S. I'm from Brazil, currently living in the U.S. and planning to move back to BR as soon as possible!
French people here. In the list of best healthcare system, we are number one.... I would like but it's not. We are better than US (which isn't difficult) but certainly not the best.
👏👏👍👍❤❤
Maybe if they keep saying it they will start to believe it.
Or make it happen on it's own .
Better wach livin ironically in Europe. Grass is not so green over the fence
Foreign to where?
I think everyone feels this love for its country in a way even if people complain. That very normal and also needed in a way to have a good working society.
There's nothing wrong with a healthy amount of pride in one's country, but Americans almost have an unhealthy obsession with it, and most of it is based on ignorance.
They are not helping themselves by constantly bombarding themselves with the same message all the time, people and countries improve far more by being aware of the flaws and admitting there are flaws, they are more likely to be motivated to fix them, but if you get a constant message that you're the best all the time, that makes it much harder to fix the underlining problems in society, and it's probably why the US is the odd country out of all the modern countries and not in a good way.
It’s one thing to be proud of your country and think it’s the best but the over inflated ego Americans have about their country is why many people elsewhere have poor opinions of them .
Comedian Louis Black summed it up perfectly when he said “imagine going to work everyday with the most conceited narcissist you’ve ever met who walks around the office constantly saying how much better he is than the rest of you.
Woaoww, usa n° 1... shitty food, crime rate , mass shootings, chloride chikens, homornal meats ,best world health care system as they said & so on...yeah number one ! No doubt at all.Ofc, best infra & super structure , best railways, best transportations equipment in any kind , i must miss alot about you...Yeah , still n° 1.. You vs third world...What clever people you are.
It is just different that's all..
The US has it's positive points and so does Europe. Vice a versa as well.. you simply can't compare them with one another..
The greatest 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😊😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I'm sitting in a distance (Poland) with popcorn, watching those vids from time to time and all the right arguments come repeatedly .... but what is interesting - how, in the first place, can you seriously debate on "it is or it isn't" when every big country in the world sings the same song and its citizens believe it as much as you ? "Russia is the greatest country in the world" "China is the greatest country in the world" and billions of people believe that the same way Americans do. First, define "greatest". Anyway, the definition doesn't matter whatsoever as long as this potent rethorical figure is widely used by all leading politicians of the world and none of them nor their people even regard USA as the greatest country in the world because it "of course" is Russia/China. And no arguments can change those nations' beliefs.... because it's not a measured by trains, free health care or random thing truth but beliefs imprinted on the voters in all the biggest countries in the world (well, India being much more modest for a reason, Brazil the same - lots of people and land there but different reality). Moreover, I do not think people in China or Russia make such vids expressing their doubt, no, they are sure they are great. The doubt is forbidden :) And please, please stop making (any) vids comparing USA to "Europe". Compare countries, Europe is not a country and European Union is not the continent of Europe. Thank you for intersting (and at moments funny) vid
My jesteśmy w porządku, bo zawsze narzekamy na nasz kraj. All they have to do is switch to the metric system and everything will change. Spell expecto metronome! (a joke...)
the greatest country and it doesn't even have free public health care or available to everyone under standards of real equity.
