IT WAS MY ETHERNET!!! For YEARS, I couldn't figure out why my laptop was freezing! That's how/why I found this channel. I must have looked up EVERY video on UA-cam about laptops freezing up. But it ONLY froze up at home. I tried different monitors. Different HDMI cords. Different settings. EVERYTHING! I finally figured out what was different. It never froze using Wi-Fi. I unplugged my Ethernet cord. Used my Wi-Fi.....SHAZAM! My puter hasn't crashed/froze since!!!!
This is the proper way to troubleshoot, another useful indication that you may have a wonky device is the fact that they can and do poll interrupts very rapidly that can be picked up in the logs or even in some cases the processes tab of task manager when you see the 'system interrupts' object running at 100% but this can be a corrupt driver too- an old-timers way to check a card like a network card for instance was to set a processor interrupts/sec counter in perfmon - but with modern cpu's being so quick am not sure if that method is still viable.
Thanks for your help. I was lost searching for what was going wrong with my laptop and after going through it is something wrong with the SCEP idk how to solve the issue will work on it tommorow.
Good video Brian explains a lot of something has confused me for a few years now not that I use the event viewer much at all but this video has given me some idea of it now👍
My gaming laptop crashed like 2-3 a day randomly when I pause a video and try to resume and then it would suddenly crash. I reset the laptop so that problem has gone away.
My ASUS F15 Gaming laptop keeps freezing everytime I do random tasks (mostly gaming). I checked the event viewer and found most errors that occur during these crashes are Netwtw14 related. Apparently its my WiFi card that I installed over a couple months ago. Is this the problem? Should I buy a new wifi card?
Past time building a pc, I thought I should probably just build two of the same compatible system. Unfortunately don't need two. I highly suggest asking a local repair shop for help testing part swapping in that case.
Since I got my refurbished desktop it occasionally restarts it's done it 16 times since the 26/11/22 it mainly does it when it's left idle for a short period of time. Yesterday I had one hardware error and two shut down unexpectedly errors all three were when I left the PC for a few minutes to do something else, like change the disc in another refurbished desktop that I was ripping the video from to an external HDD
My computer has been completely shutting off and then restarting whenever I am opening photos or videos of a higher quality so this video basically showed me it is a Power issue. (power supply) or Graphics card. Uh-oh.
After setting up a nice pc I bought from Quiet PC, Specs DB1a Fanless 1.5GHz Intel 11th Gen Core i9 11900T 8C/16T 35W 16MB Rocket Lake CPU + CPU. Rendering audio with software, it would instantly crash with reboot, after much troubleshooting, what fixed this for me was to change a bios setting. I Set "Smart Load Line" setting in bios to "Enabled" definitely Smart Load Line enabled in bios, solved this problem for me.
I don't know why Microsoft ever thought it was a good idea to turn that automatic restart on blue screen on it used to sit there on Windows 95 and '98 and I think my employer on its group policy has it said to turn that off because the blue screen just stays
Whenever it crashes for me it will show a blue screen for a second with it saying locking on it and then it goes black the fan is still on I have to wait for the fan to stop and then it turns on also the computer is really hot
I don't how it is across the pond in England , but the people in United States are to cheap to bring their computer to a reputable repair store. They think it's possible to fix anything by watching a video on youtube of that stupid Tick Tok
this didn't help much, i keep getting the critical_process_died error code no matter what i do, i couldn't even get into the event viewer before it suddenly crashes
@@Britec09 But not true? I give hommage to my predecessors. An old techie joke from the day, why is it called Windows 95? Because 95 is the percent of things you won't use.

so i've had this problem off and on where in the reliability history i am seeing this windows was not shut down properly. i've ran the power troubleshooter, disabled fast startup, ran sfc and dism. i reinstalled windows 11 and the issue went away for months. now it's back, occuring about once a week. to add to my frustration, if i boot the machine into safe mode, there is no sound, which is unfortunate as i am totally blind and rely on a screen reader to see the screen. if anyone knows how to enable sound in recovery mode i'd sure like to know 👩🦯
Hope this video helps. Drop us a comment and a like. Thanks
