Nah, seeding is just a stressfull race it starts right after harvest in august to mid september and doesn´t end before june, after you´re done putting seeds in the ground it´s time for the second application of nitrogen and spraying, so really the race doesn´t end till about mid july. Then you got about three calm weeks, and then it´s chilling time in the combine and forage harvester. That´s the real deal.
@@davidlogel2350 we have crops that go in in september and october, like canola, winter wheat/barley, some rye varieties and a lot of fields will have cover crops that go in basically right behind the combine to keep weeds at a bare minimum. A second time banding is mandatory after your crop is about ankle height when you´re running halfway organic as well as spraying an approved funghizide , as we are no longer allowed to treat our seeds with anything. That´s all within seeding season.
@@SchrottiJr putting cover and fall crops in is a choice, not mandatory here. We also apply all fertility in one pass when seeding. Sounds more complicated than it needs to be.
Lovely to see your son seeing you off on the start of planting 😊 Good to hear that you stop for a moment of prayer and reflection too; may God bless you and yours, and all that you do.
First time watching in a Long Time, chapel was only born last time I was here great to see him out and about with a curiosity for the machines already .
Every year I watch your vid of the fleet getting ready to go out and seed. And every year I am always impressed with the fleet and the size of the operation. Once again, it is that time of year to wish all our great farmers a successful, and safe season. I hope all our farmers across Canada have a really good year. Good luck Mike, we are all routing for you.
Hey fella u have had a wet winter yippee all u need is some of gods love and rain and presto ur odds r so much btr then the last 2 yrs congrates and happy planting
@@Sam-747you know that’s quite disrespectful to say that right? If you don’t know anything about our Christian faith I’d like to ask you to keep your mouth shut😄
Mike, the back of the hand is more sensitive for detecting air leaks than the palm. If you have hairy big paws, then even better for detection.😊😊 May you folk have a good season, relatively few breakdowns and also a bountiful harvest.
Mike , first of all , best of luck for the 2023 season farming , and I will thank you for taking the time to explain how everything works, I have learn alot how things work watching your videos
It’s my favorite time of the year when you start putting out your planting videos! Been following you since the beginning and look forward to all your content, I’ll say a little prayer for you guys to get enough rain to make your south farm to yield you guys a decent harvest this year:)
Interesting. We used to take our oldest grandson, now 28, to see construction machinery parked in our neighborhood when he was about two. His eyes would open wide and he would shout WHEELS!! at the top of his voice.
Nice to see Ashtyn and Chapel there to see the crew off. Sounds like your brother has his son running equipment. Is that the 3rd generation or more? Thanks for taking us along for the ride, Mike.
The sensors for the intelligent ag never go bad mike (unless they are broken in half, then tape them back together lol), its always the ports on the sending unit that go bad. Can enable more ports in the software and move the sensor to the new port.
Mike, I am half expecting Chapel to have one of those ride-on John Deere tractors in no time.. Complete with operating front bucket to help you with the farming..
Loved the pics of your family, always like the fleet pictures. Do u have a preference of tractor mike during planting season? Tracks or wheels, hp etc. Stay safe and Have a productive season. Love your channel
May 22nd today and if thinks go well we'll finish today or tomorrow. Everything went well this year surprisingly. Now that I said that I probably just jinxed myself lol
With the size, quality and amount of amazing machinery you guys have. I think you should get a videographer the odd time to film you guys. I enjoy watching your channel but do feel the need to see some drone footage.
that's so amazing seeding machine, that's a mais (corn) seeding machine? how meany rows this machine have? here in belgium the seeding machine have 12 rows maximuum

@@crandonborthall the annoying ones 😂
I love the word of prayer and ask God to protect you and your crew. That’s why I follow you channel
I don't know why but watching these drills wing up and down is so satisfying. Almost as good as harvest. I do miss the 1050 with the triples though.
Favourite season is seeding. Optimism and potential.

Love that Chapel has his tractor. Good luck seeding. My prayers to you and your family for a successful season. Keep the videos coming
Mike, very impressed that you suggested stopping for prayer before starting the season. Starting off in the right direction
He didn’t pray enough last year because his crops yeilded really low. 😂

"Tap anywhere to silence the alarm" - Mike's favorite button :-D
I think it would interesting to experience the operations of farming to that scale
Great to chapel approved.
Like the colour of Chapel’s tractor
HERE WE GO!
I’d move cross country tomorrow in order to work for an operation that size. I come with 2 duramaxes, a 379 pete and more tools than a snap on dealer.

Can you put some fuel burn information on? Im interested on how much those big tractors burn as a smaller tractor operator.
