Awesome job. I set up both my F-16's V1 and V2 based on your latest nose wheel gyro vid and will probably get a chance to try it out by the end of the week.

Thanks for the support, glad the video was helpful! And good luck. It worked wonders on my F-22

I flew mine with the nose wheel gyro yesterday and didn’t have any issues. However, I did turn the heading gain down to zero because I didn’t want to risk damaging my new plane. If you’ll put the gyro gain on the L Trim switch and set it just below where the plane goes into oscillation at high speed or in turbulent air, you won’t have to touch it again. There’s no reason to turn the gain down when the air is smooth. The L Trim switch will remember its position from one flight to the next.

Good advice, I will keep that in mind. But rarely is my air smooth...lol

@ Each plane has a maximum amount of gain that it can handle without going into oscillation. The oscillation can start due to high speed, turbulence, or by bumping the stick. I try to find what I call the “critical gain” where nothing will cause oscillation and leave it there. I don’t turn the gain up (or down) at slower speeds or in smoother air. I used to set the AS3X gains in AR636’s to 30, 40, and 50 percent for roll, pitch, and yaw and forget about them. With the new AS3X+ firmware, I set the gain sensitivity to 0.5X and use adjustable gain. With the default gains of 40, 50, and 60 percent, my L Trim switch ends up being at +50 which gives me 75% of the defaults or 30, 38, and 45. That puts me very close to what I use in AR636’s.

I fly my F-22 80mm Raptor hard 4.5 minutes with HRB 6000mAh slammed as far back as I can get it. I grease my landings every time on 4.5 minutes with enough for a go around if needed. HRB are the lightest of all the standards lipo out there, the "superior matching concepts" are heavier.

Yeah as I get more comfortable with her I will move th lipo back more.
