I'm subscribing cos you are respectful ,can't wait to see bokke against all blacks.
Appreciate that bro🫡. I’ll keep wearing the half Boks half ABs jersey then😅
Ardie Savea is to the All blacks like Peter Steph.du.toit is to the Springboks. Absolutely 👍💪
Good selections. Agree 100% TJ to start. His comeback has been amazing and shows the mans mental strength. Good choice Billy Proctor but suspect they will go for Ricco, but he has been kind of quiet. The Blues have been great, but the coach has not used backs and coached a strong forward game. Telea has been an extra loose which has not allowed him to play his natural game
Also think they’ll go with Reiko but on form you’ve gotta pick Proctor or ALB…
Agree but as a chiefs fan would love to see ALB in centre, he's had his best season in some time
ALB has been brilliant in the 23 jersey throught his ABs career. Would love to see his impact off the bench - especially defensively - as part of a traditional 5-3 split alongside Christie and Perofeta.
thats a good team there, I like the combination of Barrett and Proctor in the midfield given their familiarity playing together at the hurricanes, and also a solid bench especially with Aumua & Setiti as impact players, this will be big test for perofeta but hes a cool head under pressure so I'm sure he would do well
What side does Tosi prefer? He is a big unit and seems good on technique. I am almost in favor of starting him especially against Cole. All Blacks are going to be strong and fast all over. Clark instead of Reese. He has great hands and maturing as a runner. He could be a Full Back candidate. Certainly a Center. I hope the Ref stays on top of stoppages and allows the game to flow.
Tosi is a tighthead took over with Lomax injured played alongside Numia at loose
@@rodeo4786 Thanks. He will add some good height at the line out and the new scrum laws help tall props.
@@rodeo4786 I watched Clark play for the Blues. He cut his locks and got smarter with his play, maybe like Nonu did also, which can't be bad. He is so good under the high ball and his tackling is low and solid. Like Nonu he needs double teamed and so opens space.
@zworm2
Agree completely have to hand it to Clark in 23 he wasn't exactly flavor of the month but in 24 has transformed himself into a potent finisher .good on him deserves his call up
Good team mate! I think for the first game of this WC cycle Razor will go for experience and toughness. Tuipolotu at lock, either Jacobson or Blackadder at 6, toss up between TJ or Christie. Reiko at 13, and Barrett at 15. Tupou, Finau, TJ or Christie, ALB, bench with others.
Really enjoyed your enthusiasm and presentation here bro. I personally would switch Vaa’i with Tuipulotu. Also fully agree with Proctor over Ione, Rieko has been a bit complacent lately it’s time for new blood in the midfield. Plus combination with Barrett would be invaluable
Absolutely!! But man, Reiko could get picked at 13 and have a blinder!! He’s a different beast in that ABs jumper
I really like your line up. That is one mean bench, I'd love to see it this way but they will probably go down the safe root. I'd love to see Proctor start.
100%. Hopefully Razor rewards form. But also understand that Test level is a different beast
beauden is starting
Selection I think is pretty close.
Only differences I have is Patrick Tuipulotu starts with Barret, Clarke over Telea and Barret at 15, he has experience, Perofeta has 30 seconds of experience at the international level.
But couldn't agree more on the 13 position, Proctor is miles better at 13 than Ioane.
Also ALB is in the squad as a 12, many believe he's a better 12 than 13
I agree on the forwards - think they pretty much picked themselves into starters! But that backline I have absolutely no idea how Razor is going to use them or start them in what positions so it'll be interesting to see what way he goes - the wings are specialists so its just a matter of who he wants in because all 4 wingers have had banger seasons!
1. T Lomax
2. C Taylor
3. E DeGroot
4. T Vaai
5. S Barrett (c)
6. E Blackadder
7. L Jacobson
8. A Savea
9. F Christie
10. B Barrett
11. C Clarke
12. J Barrett
13. R Ioane
14. S Reece
15. D McKenzie
16. A Aumua
17. F Newell
18. T Williams
19. P Tuipolotu
20. D Papalii
21. T Perenara
22. S Perofeta
23. A LinertBrown
I like your thoughts. I'd probably go Aumua over Taylor, but understand the Crusaders influence in the coaching team. I think they'll likely go Barrett at FB over Perofeta. I'm not keen on either of them to be honest. I would have liked to have seen Love or Stephenson. Their injuries late in the season probably didn't help them.
All blacks will be unbeatable with razor as coach just watch
You have picked a very good side. I agree with nearly all of it. I would like to see Anton Leonard Brown in 13 and Clarke in rather than Talea. Clarke is in great beast-like form and Reece is phenomenal. Television is off his game a little compared to last year. I'd put Beauden at no. 15 and Parofeta on the bench.
Pretty close to what RZor will pick but think they will go with
Reiko at 13
And they'll probably go with a 5/3 split on the bench.
Jacobson for Sititi and Blackadder.
ALB on the bench.
Only other selection they might make is possibly Clarke for Telea and Christie for Ratima. Really like Ratima and Proctor but they may get a run in the 2nd test??
Yeah agreed. Which ever way they go, it’ll be a strong squad. Good depth all round I feel
@@KickOnRugby looking forward to the first team naming, might be a few surprises.
My choice would be, Lomax, Taylor, De Groot, Barrett, Tuipolotu, Finau, Papali'i, Savea, Ratima, DMac, Reece, Barrett, Ioane, Clarke, Barrett ... Ofa, Aumua, Newell, Vai'i, Jacobson (or Blackadder) TJ, Perofeta, ALB
I'd be keen to give Ratima a run with his Super Rugger 10, DMac. ALB plays 13 AND 12. Most guys on the bench outside the front row and the scrumhalf, all play multiple roles. Jacobson and Blackadder are very similar players, both cover all 3 back row roles, but maybe Razor will opt for the Crusader.
I think Tuipolutu will start if fit (rather than Vaa’i), as will Beaden Barrett at fullback. Other than that, the wingers could be a free for all and some have suggested that Finlay Christie is the safe choice at halfback, but the core team is right.
I really hope to see Ethan Blackadder replicate the quality of footy he's demonstrated in the past. Regardless of past injuries, there's no denying his ability.... this coming from a Chiefs diehard.
We in New Zealand miss the Saffas in Super rugby, but it's more beneficial all round for them to play in the NH competitions....I hope the Bokkes win against the Irish.
@@KickOnRugby unfortunately it's more beneficial logistically and financially for SA teams to in North.
Tjs last performance for theABs was against the Poms.He was crap then so let’s hope he plays better this time
Ofa, Patrick, Reiko & Beauden are in my starting lineup. Then Jacobson instead of Blackadder, lastly Anton over Billy
Agree with the team
Just take out blackadder do a 5-3 split and put in 22. Lienert-brown 23. Clarke no need for a 10 15 bench cover as perofeta can cover 10 and jordie 15 if needs be and personal opinion think perofeta can be something special with scott robertson and he has played very well for the blues the last few games and seriously I think the all blacks need to be backed way to early for criticism I mean remember what robertson did to the crusaders
That’s true. My South African brain just goes straight to a forward dominant bench😅
Hope ABs do well just so everyone can calm down on Razor for a minute…
I like your team mate and 6-2 split. I'd start Tuipulotu over Vaa'i Just more power/aggression in contact.
Bench I'd have Tosi and Williams both over 145kg. Bench I'd have Jacobson and Satiti for power and contact. I'd start Ratima with Christie bench because Ratima's pass is the fastest of the current 9s. Ratima is our closest clone to A Smith.
1) de Groot
2) Taylor
3) Lomax
4) Tuipulotu
5) S Barrett
6) Finau
7) Papalii
8) Savea
9) Ratima
10) D Mac
11) Clark
12) Jordie
13) Ioane
14) Reece
15) B Barrett
16) Aumua
17) Williams - 145kg power
18) Tosi - 145kg power
19) Vaa'i
20) Jacobson for Papalii
21) Satiti for Finau
22) Christie (future over TJ)
23) ALB (center cover)
Good team. However I would have Tuipoulotu starting over Vaai. Christie to start and TJ to the bench. Ioane over Proctor.
Yep fair options. Even though Reiko’s current form hasn’t been the best he does go to a new level in the ABs jumper
Razor won't start newbies against England. So Tuipolotu just ahead of Vaa'i, on form Caleb Clarke over Telea (on the bench), Ioane over Proctor (bench), Tu'ungafasi ahead of Tosi (unless Williams is fully fit, then him - and Tosie to wait his chance later), Beauden starts (Perofeta on the bench) - agree with the rest.
I think atleast 1 of the 4 newbies will make the 23 man squad though. Will be interesting to see who he picks first up💪
@KickOnRugby Hard to see how on Razors first up test. Too much depth already. Props locked in. Flankers too. ALB 12, 13 cover. TJ n Christie at half. Perofeta 10, 15. So no room for newbies first up. But there are other games coming. Maybe even Eden Park (Sititi, Ratima off the bench?)
@@gideonporter537 yeah that’s true. Let’s wait n see. When will the match day squad be announced??
Damien will kick all our posession away mark my words ..... Barrett at 10
One of the most attacking 10s in the game atm kick all the ball away? Not sure….
Razor is so popular because the last guy was so unpopular. But mark my words, if the ABs lose 3-4 games in a row, we will turn on the Razor no doubt.
Disagree with your backup props as I think Williams and Newell are almost as good as the no 1 pairing. Ioane will be 13 .Lienert-Brown has spent a very long time as a 12 in his career but he would come off the bench.. Tuipulotu if fit will be starting with Barrett. B Barrett would start at 15 instead of Perofeta.
Yeah true. Williams just hasn’t played alot of footy since returning from his injury… For the rest, yeah all fair arguments. Will be interesting to see which way Razor goes
My opinion is Caleb Clarke should be in there…
Yeah good shout. Probably good for those hit ups off lineouts/scrums first phase
REAL SQUAD
1. De Groot. 2. Taylor. 3. Lomax
4. Tuipulotu. 5. Barrett.
6. Finau. 7. Jacobson. 8. Savea.
9. Christie 10. DMac
12. Barrett. 13. Rieko
11. Clarke. 15. Barrett. 14. Telea.
16. Aumua. 17. Tuungafasi 18. Newell
19. Vaai. 20. Papalii. 21. Perenara
22. ALB. 23. Perofeta
England by 20...your welcome!!
Based on that Japan perforamce England will be lucky to stay within 10 points...
unfortunately eng wont be able to surprise the AB....AB are going to take them on up front!!!
Gotta love your genuine passion and unbiased appreciation for nz rugby, very few overseas pundits have your knowledge of what's going on over here considering our isolation.
