This video will give you the basics of setting up your new Splashdrone 3+ before the flight
including the all-important Accelerometer & Compass calibrations which must be done before every flight in a different location.

You say clockwise but the demo is anticlockwise rotation?
those were all counterclockwise rotations btw.
Hello, I have a question, calibration should be done at each start or just once?
It's just what I need for my boating adventures - I would buy one tomorrow BUT … it appears to be so complicated to set up and alas I'm neither a computer geek or a rocket scientist! Question: Does it return to where it took off from or to where the controller is? I ask because in boating it's never going to return to where it took off from.
Hi Tim, it returns to base and not the controller. The calibration is not as difficult as it looks. We have SplashDrone trainers in NZ who can give you one on one training for a small fee which will include everything from unboxing the drone to flying it. Furthermore, if you're on a boat, you can drop the SplashDrone in water before take off and land the drone in the water near the boat and then pick it up. hello Matthew, congratulations great video, I wanted to ask you if by chance you had the opportunity to test the ground station with the swellpro fly app? because i tried but the app doesn't seem to work gray screen

The newer one does i had this one then sold it and bought the one with the external on off button

I got one and you're right, it's a bit of a ball ache. Trade off is it's hardened.. like its daddy.

Lol yea thats what I was thinking but then I'm in new Zealand so I thought it was different over there haha
By time you get done with the calibration your battery is dead.
