@@user-rg3xk7hh9p Yes you can still study computer science. Just make sure that you give it your all in grade 12 please.. And apply to as many universities as you can and bursaries don’t be afraid to apply. And good luck. Study hard
past papers are a MUST. In my opinion its useless studying the content if you don't allocate time to the past papers. that's not to say past papers can replace studying content though!
I'm also a computer science first year student who is unfortunately struggling but these wise powerful words from these students encourages me to do better and start asking for help...thank u Gift for this amazing video💯🙏

Computer Science is very smooth in 1st Semester & Second Semester you will question yourself if it’s worth it . But well 8 mons ago,i had no knowledge of programming now i can program in 3 different languages
Nah bro it depends where u studying 😅at tuks it's tuff in the beginning...and It's not about the number of languages u know,u need to master the language
@@M3812 Lol 😂 Of course languages don’t matter when you don’t know career you looking for 🫵you can’t be wasting time learning Python if you want Embedded Systems. Which year are you doing?
I'm in Stellenbosch and doing the same course and I won't lie, the project they give us for first year and first time in the coding world, a bit too much like, first semester they wanted us to make a game and for second semester they want us to create chess. It not nice guys, and what worse i pass every test but can't do their project, it hell
Hy I wanted to ask if you could get into BSc computer science and statistics(data science stream) with a maths mark of like 85%. Cause these girls maths marks are scaring me 😂😭😭😂
You don't really need a degree in IT get system Development Learnership. Then start teaching yourself or attend bootcamp like we think code then build projects
Computer science involves a lot of programming and software(The parts of the computer you cannot touch like operating systems, applications, websites etc) insights and computer engineering is more focused on the hardware parts(The parts of a computer you can touch like the motherboard, memory chips etc) and actually making and repairing the hardware. Both computer science and computer engineering have coding, but they're coding for different purposes. Which one is best? Both are best but it depends which one appeals more to you. Do you like the thought of making apps cool or you just want to make robots and computers? I'm majoring in both Computer Science and Computer Engineering because I want both🤣
@@Abel.2.0At UCT yeah because in the science faculty, you must have 2 majors. @@bongi.. Not sure about Wits but for UCT you do get a degree after the 3 years. Its a full bachelors degree. If you do Honors that's an extra qualification. You can also get a job straight after the 3 year degree; however your chances are better obviously if you have the honors. I generally advise people to do honors if you can, because in lots of spaces they would require 4 years of tertiary education (i.e. going for postgrad, international opportunities, some jobs etc.).
