I visited in the first week of October last year. It was very sunny and beautiful during the day but the nights were extremely cold, so do keep that in mind.
I personally think mid September to mid October is a great time as the weather is pleasant and the mountains are lush green. I also wanted to visit when the temple is open so the timing worked perfectly for me. Hope this helps you. 😊
