I have been a Pete Rose fan since the early 70's. If you couldn't see to put him in while he was alive, putting him after passing away would be the cruelest thing that could happen. Should he have been in? Of course. No question. You can't have a Hall of Fame without Pete Rose. But not unlike the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, I don't need any organization to tell me what I already know. Pete Rose was the greatest hitter in major league history. Those who know, know. Let the shame hang over the Hall and don't insult Pete's life and legacy by putting him in because he passed. It would only happen to ease the guilt of the fools who kept him out in the first place.

We know from the betting records collected from the bookie that some games when he managed he didn't bet on the game. So if some days he bet and some be didn't how do we know that on a Tuesday he tried his best to win a game he wasn't betting on when tomorrow he was going to bet big? Come on the reason he moved to betting on baseball was because he lost his ass at college basketball.
So if he didn't try his hardest to win then we don't know the whole MLB seasons true outcome. Two teams made the playoffs. Sometimes whole seasons are decided by one game.
Today's sports betting doesn't effect the game at all!? That's a terrible analogy.
As a life long reds fan Pete is a shame on the reds and a stain that blots out the remembrance of the big red machine. The first thing people talk about when they mention them it's all about Pete's gambling. When the 9 were together on the field all the talk was about Pete's gambling forever staining the Cincinnati reds legacy as a team.
When you list his credentials it only makes it worse. He knew what he did!!!
