Seriously, that's definitely one of the more ridiculous things I've ever heard. It's very simple. Anyone, that is ANYONE who is being oppressed or even mildly being oppressed must have the exact same rights to not be subject to any form of discrimination, Period ! But if you're Conservative, it's like trying to figure out rocket science without the science lol
Yes, this is great! Truth and reconciliation! But let us also not forget the truth about the fate of our white European ancestors. And let us not forget the most violent of all tribes, the Comanche who ripped the fetuses from pregnant white women and burned them alive. And let us not forget the Iroquois, a warrior nation that hated the Huron long before Europeans arrived. They would cut off the pinky fingers of Huron captives to show ownership. In fact, let us remember all of the victims of past hatred, mass murder, slavery, and torture. Let us remember the two million white European Christians captured in European coastal towns and taken to North Africa by Barbary pirates where they were beaten bloody to be enslaved by African warlords. And let us stop catering to band councils only interested in more government money and who use every individual instance of racism to paint all caucasians as evil. Let us remember ALL the victims, not just a select few. And let us stop forever the media bias that forces only whites to feel guilty about history because guilt creates a mild anxiety that stimulates addictive-purchasing behavior for the media`s beloved advertisers. And last but not least, let us remember the Choctaw, the last of the five so-called "Civilized Tribes" who refused to give up their African American slaves for almost a full two years after the Emancipation Proclamation.
If you have to say it here on this video, then it probably means you're trying to distract people from paying attention to Truth and Reconciliation for indigenous peoples in Canada. Let us not forget about the "Starlight Tours" where law enforcement officers drive Indigenous people to remote locations and leave them stranded in sub-zero temperatures where they have a high chance of dying from hypothermia.
Thank you for that very encouraging message. Those of European heritage and descent need to stand up for themselves more and not give in to the shame and guilt they try to impose. Let's make awareness to ALL the horrible things done to people in the past, not just a cherry-picked few.

@@themodsify why are you asking me as if I know? I didn't know any of this stuff about residential schools before. No one ever told us about it in public school. It's Schroedinger's cat. The truth is in the box. 😉
