Whitney won 11 billboard awards at the 1993 ceremony, 8 american music awards and 3 grammy awards in 1994, all for her smash hit The Bodyguard album soundtrack!

Iirc she has a hand in helping design the performance scenes for the movie. I hope wherever Ms Houston is in the universe she’s happy singing whatever she feels like.

I loved this exploration of her as the artist, music innovator, and buisness woman. She did many things behind the scenes to create opportunities for black culture. Very successful producer. She also gave us black Cinderella.

To be honest The Bodyguard was the peak of Whitneys career. She was a global phenomenon already so I would say this soundtrack catapulted her success. Whitney Houston was loved by millions of people all around the world not just in the United States and I've always wanted to see some form of tribute from her fans outside of America showcasing the love and appreciation of how much she meant to them

It was out in cinemas for the anniversary about a month ago, I asked the staff it was still on and said it had a showing the next day. Wish I had went to see it as I’ve never watched it. I didn’t find out until recently how big it was.
