- Descente à ski de l'éperon Frendo à skis par Christophe Jacquemoud et Philippe Batoux en mai 2024.
Le printemps 2024 a été particulièrement humide et nous avons pu bénéficier de très bonnes conditions. De nombreux itinéraires ont pu être parcourus dont le mythique Eperon Frendo.

Amazing. How many people ski n face a year now? Back in 90s was very few. This does not look like the eugester or the other one forget variant name. Is this a third route?
Malory is the most popular route of the north face I would say less than 100 skiers a year. Frendo is less popular and is not skiable every year I think 4 skiers this year
@@PhilippeBatoux back in the 1990s wasn't it like three people a year. Why can many ski it now? with the new skis it's a little safer you won't catch an edge as easily? Are people better skiers now? Always dreamed of, but risk so high. Have skied Poubel of grand monte guess that is just a warm up for you guys lol
can i ask how many days a year do you ski, i always asked myself if was solid enough for somethign like that. would think climber first skier is just nice to have. learned that from hanging with climbers in cham so i know the difference ; pretty sure each section i could do, but there is a certantly that there would be no issues, a 99 level need. i made many mistakes in my trips to Cham was fairly humbling, 6 trips in total some one month. still i look at it and wonder these things :)- and dream of the ultimate run. at age 62. with all the regular issues, back issue etc, its in the past anways. heheh take a look at my crazy downhill off road skates i have a video of them at the statue in cham.
Difficile to say, 50 to 70 days each season. Being Alpinist is an asset for this kind of ski. I placed 6 pitons for rappelling the Frendo and it wasn’t so easy to find the good places.for big lines finding the way is very tricky…
