For that wide 200mm - 250mm range I’d try to grab the Heart nebula and Souls nebula in one frame. I’d have to do a mosaic with my kit but a Redcat with the right camera could do it. I like the wide multi target views.
@@AstroFarsography To be honest, any nebula or larger galaxy to start with. Always thought you needed extremely expensive equipment but found out just after Christmas, you can get away with normal camera equipment. I know dedicated equipment is better but to start with I'm happy to use my normal gear (although I have got a modified DSLR) and I'll build on it over time and I gain experience.
Another great video Ruz 💪. Just wondered if you take images over multiple nights with different filters etc, would you stack them all (including that night's flats & darks) in a single stack in DSS or would you stack each night's lights, darks and flats separately and try and combine them in GIMP (my photo editing software of choice)? Any advice you could offer would be great. Cheers
Thabks Dougie. Yeah when I do multi night images I stack according to filters. So I may have Hydrogen Alpha night 1, 2 and 3 and then I'd just use different groups in DSS for each night and stack all my HA data into one master. Then edit it from there :)
@@AstroFarsography cheers for that 😁. I have actually stacked H-Alpha filtered images and Optolong L-Pro ones from a separate night together in DSS and nothing blew up! Do you know any good GIMP tutorials for blending astro images together? All the best 👍
Great video congratulations. My name is Tasos Andreou and i am from Greece. Can you make a video with the comet panstars 2017 k2? Now is the best time to photograph it
@@AstroFarsography well we have a qhy 600 PRO with the dual 10gig fiber ports coming soon so hopefully I could maybe provide those kinds of framerates, but planets are pretty much a no go for me. I don't have a ton of experience imaging, and i'm tired of doing the horsehead. What I really need to do is get some books, like the left at orion stuff and others of that ilk.
Great Video Ruiz. Look forward to Catch the Planets this month!
Thanks mate, hope you get hold of some!
Good to see you've been released from the hotel room! lol. Good see you back in the garage
Haha yep no more hotel rooms booked for the foreseeable future now! 😄 home sweet brick wall home 👍
I also photographed NGC 7822 "recently", and was firmly reminded by the comments that it is called the Question Mark Nebula :D Keep it up!
Nice to see ya Ruz! Thanks for this one been missing these. Hope all is well my good man!.
Cheers mate. Yeah I plan to bring them back. Its all good just getting the mojo back and all that hope you're well too mate

That's a great suggestion for that focal length. I love seeing the Heart and Soul in one frame, really nice images they are
Been waiting for astro dark to return and this type of video so I can have a half decent go at capturing a DSO image
Excellent! Yeah darkness is on its way back at last. What sort of DSO are you looking forwards to?

Thank you Tasos. I'll have a look into Panstars to see what I can do
You really need to white wash that wall. A tin of emulsion for a tenner, cmon son get it sorted.
Aha, not my garage it's a rental so I can't just decorate it unfortunately. But some pictures would help for sure 😅
4000mm suggestions?
Man now that's a focal length I didn't think I'd get asked about 😅 would have to definitely look jnto that but off the top of my head I'd say planets

You don't tell us where the objects are.
Noted! I usually do but missed it this month. Will make sure to include the constellation next month, thanks for pointing it out
By the way, I did capture the Cephius region with 50 mm Sigma Art on astromoded t7i. Need to process it. Thanks for the suggestion.
@@mikehardy8247 my pleasure mate would love to see it when it's done
It’s pronounced VUL - PECK- YOU- LA
Hmm I hadn't even considered that pronunciation! Thanks for sharing 😁
