For my forty years of existence, living in Manila, this is the 1st time I've seen Manila like this. This is also the 1st time I felt proud living here. I wonder how the previous local government feel about this that none from them acknowledge this great change. Our taxes are finally felt worthy. For the past years.. it felt like we're just being robbed and have to digest every bad services we get from the government, the pollution we inhale everyday, the eye sores we see around Manila, while the Mayors along with their families get richer and richer. Now it feels fair to pay our taxes and be able to enjoy living the day knowing it was well used for. Way to go Yorme! You deserve the recognition! I was already beyond #umay and feel hopeless of our government, until you were given this mission impossible! You earn my respect! I salute you big time! I hope others will follow! You're by heart, worth the mission!

I remember the park as a child growing up in the 70's and living in Binondo. My family would either walk or take a jeepney ride or drive to the park every weekend bringing tetra packs of Sunkist drinks and sandwiches, ham or egg, which my mother makes, a blanket and armed with hats and sunglasses to battle the sun and heat. My siblings and I would just run around the park and just walk the length of it from the stage (cannot remember the name of it) to Taft Avenue, visit the Japanese Garden and take pictures with Jose Rizal, which I remember was always with guards in full uniform. That Rizal memorial statue felt sacred and special especially at night with the lights on. Those were the memories that will stay with me forever about the park. To all of you who visits the park please give it respect and care it deserves. The memories you make and the pictures that you take in the park are a reminder of how beautiful the city is. I no longer live in the city I was born in but I do visit once in a while and this makes me proud and happy. Thank you for posting this. Thank you Mayor Domagoso and the hard working and responsible people of Manila City Hall, and, to the people of Manila. Mabuhay po kayo!
Yes, Manila in previous years have a bad reputation for being dirty. But nowadays, it's a beautiful place to go to. It started with our own President Duterte who was diligent about cleaning up the government of the corruption that's been depriving our country for years from becoming prosperous. He is the only president who has not compromised and actually prosecuted drug lords and users as well. President Duterte has a beautiful vision for our country. He has set up a template of a true, kind and honest leader. Well, there will always be the "nay" sayers but 95% of us Filipinos agree that President Duterte ran for presidency to straighten up the government and not to fill his pocket with wealth. And now, that we have an excellent leader, the goverment officials under him are all doing the same exact thing as well, which is performing their duties honestly and with love. I believed that good management starts with the leader. I've been watching government officials' UA-cam like the ones from the mayor of Manila, Mayor Isko, and it's so heartwarming to see how much he cares for our city. Under his leadership, the dirty streets of Manila were cleaned and even washed. The dark streets currently have lights and even the trees around the parks were decorated with colorful lights, that when lit up at night are magnificently beautiful. On UA-cam, I saw Rizal Park in its best! The colorful dancing fountain reminds me of the one that I visited in Singapore. It's is in the island of Sentosa, where the only way to get there is via a cable car to go over the mountains. Thank you to our committed Mayor Isko and his group for bringing back Manila to its grandeur. And yes, hopefully, people who live in Manila/philippines will appreciate and respect all the efforts of the government officials involved in making our country a nice and a peaceful place to live in, and once again attractive to the world. I remember the park as a child growing up in the 70's and living in Binondo. My family would either walk or take a jeepney ride or drive to the park every weekend bringing tetra packs of Sunkist drinks and sandwiches, ham or egg, which my mother makes, a blanket and armed with hats and sunglasses to battle the sun and heat. My siblings and I would just run around the park and just walk the length of it from the stage (cannot remember the name of it) to Taft Avenue, visit the Japanese Garden and take pictures with Jose Rizal, which I remember was always with guards in full uniform. That Rizal memorial statue felt sacred and special especially at night with the lights on. Those were the memories that will stay with me forever about the park. To all of you who visits the park please give it respect and care it deserves. The memories you make and the pictures that you take in the park are a reminder of how beautiful the city is. I no longer live in the city I was born in but I do visit once in a while and this makes me proud and happy. Thank you for posting this. Thank you Mayor Domagoso and the hard working and responsible people of Manila City Hall, and, to the people of Manila. Mabuhay po kayo!

Yes, Manila in previous years have a bad reputation for being dirty. But nowadays, it's a beautiful place to go to. It started with our own President Duterte who was diligent about cleaning up the government of the corruption that's been depriving our country for years from becoming prosperous. He is the only president who has not compromised and actually prosecuted drug lords and users as well. President Duterte has a beautiful vision for our country. He has set up a template of a true, kind and honest leader. Well, there will always be the "nay" sayers but 95% of us Filipinos agree that President Duterte ran for presidency to straighten up the government and not to fill his pocket with wealth. And now, that we have an excellent leader, the goverment officials under him are all doing the same exact thing as well, which is performing their duties honestly and with love. I believed that good management starts with the leader. I've been watching government officials' UA-cam like the ones from the mayor of Manila, Mayor Isko, and it's so heartwarming to see how much he cares for our city. Under his leadership, the dirty streets of Manila were cleaned and even washed. The dark streets currently have lights and even the trees around the parks were decorated with colorful lights, that when lit up at night are magnificently beautiful. On UA-cam, I saw Rizal Park in its best! The colorful dancing fountain reminds me of the one that I visited in Singapore. It's is in the island of Sentosa, where the only way to get there is via a cable car to go over the mountains. Thank you to our committed Mayor Isko and his group for bringing back Manila to its grandeur. And yes, hopefully, people who live in Manila/philippines will appreciate and respect all the efforts of the government officials involved in making our country a nice and a peaceful place to live in, and once again attractive to the world.
