That was done out of spite not kindness. She dkesnt even call her a step daughter and wont let her child call her a sister shes used the lice and an excuse. What a horrible person 😢
I got lice in school while my hair was butt-length, and only a crazy parent wouldn't cut their kids' hair if it's that long with lice. Lice treatment involves picking the nits off every strand of hair where they're stuck at the root, and it took my mom five minutes of trying to mess with pulling nits out of hair when the strands were over two feet long before she was like, "No, we're cutting your hair, I'm sorry but we just are." Given, that's a decision the parent should be making, not stepmom, but cutting long hair does help make lice treatments easier.
Definitely should have called the mom first. If you were that worried give her the option of picking her up before it spreads or cutting it. I can understand she did what she thought was right but she doesn't show any sympathy or understanding or compassion which goes a long way
She should ask the child, not the mom. It's not mom's hair. The length she cut did nothing for lice, and she didn't try anything else, you know, many different treatments and dyeing hair (even the same color they already are, to not alter appearance). There is nothing that justifies her for doing this against child's will.
If I were that child, this would have woken up without hair.
