The first Pokémon episode I watched was from season 1 (‘The Punchy Pokémon’) as a standalone thing. Then I watched some XY on Netflix with my brother (he watched a few episodes without me), then typed in a random season of the anime on UA-cam (I went with 10, also this was when Pokémon episodes were available on UA-cam). I finally settled on season 1, and watched until season 10 again (on my own), where I just stopped again. I’m rewatching the whole anime, and this time, I won’t stop halfway through. I’m on season 2, currently. I never grew up watching a particular era of Pokémon on TV, since I never watched Pokémon on TV.

It has so much nostalgia for me. Over 20 years ago... I feel old, holy crap.
Still bummed that we in the west didn't get a cover of this. I am currently rewatching this with my kids, and each time the instrumental plays in cool moments, I almost tear up.
I mean the fact that it got to play in the dub, even if just as an instrumental, is still awesome. More than a lot of moments in XY, Sun and Moon and Journeys got, to the point that a lot of moments ended up getting ruined due to the changed music.
This is the best pokemon opening for any language its just so upbeat and fits hoean so well for a pokemon theme it reminds me of similar times as well.
I'm watching all of the series through, and they're still using this for battles in Sinnoh and I'm like ;.; staaaaahhhhppp this is giving me too much nostalgia for Hoenn!

Once I heard this theme, I understood that I was deprived from pokemon bangers when I was a kid. It's never too late to enjoy it though. Just like the seventh opening of One Piece, I love to hear it while looking at the Mediterranean Sea. I want to go on a boat and discover the One Piece with my Pokemon 😂😂🛥️🛥️

This is the one of the BIGGEST differences between the original and the dub: In the dub it's "i wAnNa bE a hErO" over and over again; but in the original, the songs are AN EXPRESSION OF LIFE ITSELF 🤩🤩🤩🤯 This song gives me _CHILLS_ every time I listen to it, it's easily one of the greatest songs ever made! And it creates a _completely_ different environment for the show 😲
+Inspector Heavy I have to disagree with you (my opinion), this track sounds much better than any One Piece opening till now, and if this could be included in any of the openings, would be simply awesome, since it gives you a sort of "sunny" or "beachy" feeling right at the first notes, hehehehe
