Job will be permanent (upto your employer)but visa is only for 3 years. Good news is,you can apply for visa extension before your first 3 years get expired from inside the country. if your extension is approved, u can stay here for 3 more years. H1b Visa is valid for 6 years. If your employer need u here ,they will apply for I-140 before your 6 years limit,.if u get I-140 there is no time limit on your h1b. Only thing is you will have to keep extending visa every 3 years..
