Is that a GM Ecotec in there? I like those motors. Ever since I got bit by a "turbo 4 cylinder bug", after building a Ford 2300 (lima motor) with a Holset HY35 for my ex's foxbody, I became well impressed and aware of the "sleeper potential" of them... The ecotec is MILES better made/stronger than those old fords and I'd love to do one of them some day.. ...anyway, AWESOME bug!! I'm building a super detailed class 5 bug (except it's 1/10 scale... RC.. lol) and looking for references. Hope you don't mind me using a few ideas!? I REALLY like the way this this is built! VERY nice! You guys build the chassis/cage yourselves? ...also, If I came across this when it was for sale, I'd be interested! 🙂👍
Yes, our class 1 is more expensive to run than our class 5 was. Parts cost more and the additional horsepower wears parts out faster. Race fuel also adds up quickly. You do not need experience to enter a desert race.
We only ran two races with them. We filmed a couple UA-cam videos and taced the 1 car at Knolls. We are doing the Nevada Championship with VORRA and Legacy June 6th, this year. We’re hoping to get a second date, but haven’t figured out the race yet.
Those cars are incredible. Have fun tearing it up and congrats on the new car
Thank you!! We are so incredibly lucky and everyday we are getting closer to getting the new car to the desert.

Welcome to Desert Theory. You're going to learn something today.
😂 Possibly what not to do but you're going to learn something.
Question are class 1 buggy more costly than class 5? Also, do you need the experience to race in these classes or can you be a beginner

@@DesertTheory hell ya thanks for the info. Looks fun but don't have the equipment or vehicle to get into this sport maybe one day
You guys still run bore?
