His effort to bring an end to the Vietnam War won my heart perhaps even more than his songs.

I was 7 December 8th 1980. I was up with strep throat watching Monday Night Football with Dad . The NE Patriots where playing... Howard Cosell announced the news over the game . I will never forget intentionally watching the news the next few days,watching people outside the Dakota... Even 47yrs later I will never forget it . Nice Job . Beautifully done.. The original version was recorded in Nashville, Tn. in late December 1980, but the arrangement was almost the same, but instead of keyboard strings it featured a single violinist who doubled his parts, and a girl and guy singing background vocals. John left the Beatles because he had to for his own mental health and it was the best move for himself and yoko. I have my own opinions on yoko but nonetheless John was madly in love with her and she made him happy. That’s what matters.
