Gustha's Scepter is already starting to spike because of Flubs. It's a 0-cost card that helps you avoid the 2-card hand while Flubs is out, when you cast a spell and discard down to 0. It is a reserved list card so it will not be reprinted.
Have always wanted to put Song Of Creation in a deck... Loved Flubs' art and design but didn't think I had the mental fortitude to build a deck with him. This deck you've made seems like it'll be so interesting to play that I think I'll put your decklist together in paper like an EDH Deckbuilding precon just to see what it's like. Thank you for making the most interesting decks on UA-cam Demo 👍
I just built my Flubs deck and had a couple chances to run it. I went in a different direction however. I built Dragon's Approach, since Flubs ability can put extra copies of Approach into the yard for me if I have cards in hand making it easier to tutor Dragons, or it can keep flipping me into more Approaches if my hand is empty when I cast one. It's alot of fun to play.
Filth, lost on the range, would allow you to plot cards that you don't want to cast until later from the top of your library. There are some good plot cards to look at as well.
Favorite cards to run in this deck are foretell cards like mystic reflection, saw it coming. Plot certain cards, then play things with adventure and share the spoils it's a fun deck that allows for a TON of variation and allows a bunch of different things
Super fun commander. I have played a lot recently. In moxfield my decks name is "[cEDH] Cheerios Fun Flavor, Handless Manual Madness". There is so much flavor in this commander. Take a look.
I’ve built Flubs and decided to make it land fall, I’m playing every card that lets me play an additional land and then 70 lands to fly through the deck.
I knew it! I had the same idea when I saw Flubs, because, as Demo, I want to build a Song of Creation/Manabond/Discard deck, but my inicial commander for this idea was Pako and Haldan.
I was building a voyawa self discard deck but it did not do well so I switched it to Olivia Crimson Bride and now it pops off. Flubs looks like a lot of fun too especially with green and blue in the mix
If you manage to get a good amount of creatures with flubs a card like connecting the dots ia great since gets you a card unto exile whenever a creature you control attacks. And then you can fill your hand with like 10 cards very easily. Man imma go straight to make a flubs deck now. It seems a really fun commander.
Madness is still a form of casting, so if you were to get madness off, you'd still have to discard another card, which you could have just done in the first place. It doesn't capitalize on the discard, it just transfers the discard to another card. The only time it works is if you have exactly two cards in hand and one of them is madness, but usually this deck will only have one card because of the nature of the commander.
@@vader9133 Actually it does work out, because often with Flubs and no song of creation or end turn discard, you will end your turn with one card, and draw another at your draw step. Madness does solve this, by making you cast the two cards so you end up drawing a card. Problem with madness and flubs is that there's really few good madness cards in temur, not having the black for it is really bad
@@vader9133 yeah, I'm counting on the fact that madness is a form of casting. There are lots of situations where this will be good: - If you have more than one card with madness in your hand you can "chain" one in another - if you have exactly 2 cards in hand as you said - if you have to discard your hand in the end of the turn, but some o the cards have madness you can cast it with 0 cards in hand and draw with Flubs - if you have song of creation and Flubs, so you draw 2 discard 1 The problem is that there aren't many good cards with madness, but the ones that exists definitely fits into this deck.
I have a rules question: I recently built an Altair deck from the new ACC, and I put Rakdos the Defiler in the deck. If I use Altairs ability to cheat Rakdos into play, does that trigger the first ability making me sac my permanents? Thank you
"Whenever this attacks" just means "whenever this is declared as an attacker during the declare attackers step". Having something come in tapped and attacking bypasses any "when this attacks" triggers
I playtested your build. I actually don't think suspend neither foretell work properly on Flubs. Perhaps going for landfall theme is the only viable option
Great video. Have your given any thought to making oaiper edh content? Or some variation like penny dreadful? Love your channel keep up the great work mate
Avaricious dragon and Grafted skullcap are the worst with Flubs imo, because if you have two cards in hand, you have to discard the other one when you play your land / cast your spell and then you're empty handed, but in a bad way. It does work fine if you have song of creation UNLESS you got two lands, because only flubs will trigger and now you're empty handed (in a bad way again). I did try manabond, but I don't think it's super useful apart from prior t3. Flubs allowing additionnal land drops make it so you usually want to "play" those lands, not just make them etb. I'd rather play oracle of mul daya or cards like this that allows you even more land drops. It does work alright with song of creation, but without it it's terrible because you're going to have like 1-2 cards in hand maximum. Agreed on the foretell point, but I think the most interesting thing with Flubs is retrace. It allows you to keep playing even when you've wasted all your land drops. just imagine the situation. you've drawn your first card, okay land, you drop it. you draw a land, nice, you drop it.... you draw a third land.... but hopefully you have some random spell in your graveyard with retrace, and it allows you to discard this land, so when you cast the retrace spell you're empty handed and draw a card ! Escape, jump-start, flashback also works rather fine, making it so you always have something to play. That's why I prefer to play mostly graveyard with Flubs than foretell, and it still works wonder with song of creation Great video nonetheless, love this commander and song of creation, keep up the good work :D
if you have 2 cards in hand one is a suspend card so you just stick it in exile and cast the other one. that's how the deck is supposed to work. i know alot of people are out there brewing the best possible flubs deck but this is the idea that i came up with where flubs is not needed for the deck to work. otherwise unknown as method 2.
I'm surprised, but you got one thing mixed up in the video (or maybe I misunderstood). 4:50 Manabond will not trigger Flubs. The rules info for Manabond specifically states, "Putting a land onto the battlefield does not count as playing a land", and Flubs triggers on playing a land. That said, I really like this idea. I think you could also lean into Madness pretty comfortably.
Splendid Reclamation seems like it would be really good in this deck as well, but then I guess things are going to start skewing towards a landfall deck at that point.
Im surprised you havent mentioned Eruth for Flubs. It's a pretty high risk card but it can cause you to see more cards and mitigate the downside of flubs effect. I could see eruth being more viable in a faster paced spellslinger theme but its a cool match with flubs all the same
The tarot card always shows a young man recklessly and obliviously walking dangerously close to the edge of a cliff. I'm not sure what it means in an actual reading.
I don't think Flubbs triggers off Manabond, because it says "when you play a land" but Manabond just puts the lands into play directly. I might be wrong but I don't think it works.

I bought one years ago. The guy behind the counter was like..... why? What are you building?
Me: the building blocks for the future.
casting cards from the graveyard solve this problem, but thanks for this other way to solve the problem !
Literally perfect for this deck

I think all of us who wanted to play Song of Creation as a Commander or deck focus were excited by Flubs being spoiled.
Ensnaring Bridge is a funny card with this commander, if you have no hand then no creatures can attack and you can easily control the entire board.
I just built my Flubs deck and had a couple chances to run it.
I went in a different direction however. I love this commander, I love the deck idea you put together. Make sure you chuck a surly badgersaur in there. Also null brooch!
I’m very excited to see another list here! This seems the most exciting so far

I think time reversal in this deck is a good eject button card if you find yourself stranded
Really cool commander!!!!!! Unique!
Mana Bonds + storm cauldron.
Also, library of leng gives a distinct advantage to ol' flubs. Ensnareing Bridge...
This commander is perfect for madness strategies too

what do you think about ceta sanctuary in that deck?
I'm building this as a chaos/hug deck. Flubs + Shared Fate. It's going to be a blast.
What do you think about flubs being a commander for a madness deck?
Love this!

Ice Cauldron is weird in that second ability: you need to have at least one counter on it to utilize it. Still worth it.
I love this. Wow.
Ive always wanted to do a recyle + alluren deck, i never realized that there were a lot of other cards that worked like recycle.
Flubs would probably work well with Recycle from Tempest. Also, why is it worded differently than Recycle and Null Profusion?
Don't forget Library of Leng!! Auto include in this deck I think. Fun idea
not sure it's an auto-include. it'll just make it so you keep drawing the same card
@@edhdeckbuilding it's a "may", so you can graveyard things you don't want and rearrange the things you want to keep
First card I thought of when i saw this froggy.
I'm surprised, but you got one thing mixed up in the video (or maybe I misunderstood).

Pretty sure it's just discarding your hand for a bonus, not to trigger the commander.
I'm glad I wasn't the only person who noticed this
@@DoctorWhoBlue He said, "we'll put 'em all into play, that'll also trigger our commander by the way, which isn't entirely relevant..."
the manabond lands won't trigger your commander, correct. maybe i misspoke.
Ive been wanting a good hellbent commander. Flubs is close but he suffers without black.
I know plot is only ever at sorcery speed but some plot cards may be kool in here!
Splendid Reclamation seems like it would be really good in this deck as well, but then I guess things are going to start skewing towards a landfall deck at that point.
You'd rather play a crucible of worlds with flubs, playing lands is more important than making them etb with it
I wonder if running Eruth in the 99 would work with Flubs
It works amazingly with Flubs, you always have 0 card in hand so always draw
"case of the crimson pulse" "phial of galadriel" seem legit
You should consider Phial of Galadriel, it certainly is useful here.
Im surprised you havent mentioned Eruth for Flubs. It's a pretty high risk card but it can cause you to see more cards and mitigate the downside of flubs effect. I could see eruth being more viable in a faster paced spellslinger theme but its a cool match with flubs all the same
so this is a nonbo with alot of things. you can only foretell or suspend from your hand. having too much impulse draw in the deck doesn't wrk.
Sure, you’ll draw a lot of cards and ramp, but how do you win?
the don't call him the fool for nothing
Would mana bond really trigger flub? You’re not “playing” them, you’re just “putting them into play” 5:19
I don't think putting a land into play and playing a land are the same thing necessarily
It's an actual tarot card. If you didn't know. The Fool.
The tarot card always shows a young man recklessly and obliviously walking dangerously close to the edge of a cliff. I'm not sure what it means in an actual reading.
Sure seems fun to mess about with this goofy deck but how it’s winning 🥇 against Slivers, Eldrazi, and other reasonably powerful 💥 deck?
Most likely damage, as every other deck does. Brallin, and glint horn buccaneer seem like auto includes inincluded in this deck.
Psychosis crawler also probably.
probably shoulda thrown a psycosis crawler in there
If only it had black in its identity.... its perfect for an idea i have, but not having black kills some of my ideas
I had an idea for Flubs.
Reddit downvoted it to hell so I don't think they're very open to fun deck ideas. As always.
I don't think Flubbs triggers off Manabond, because it says "when you play a land" but Manabond just puts the lands into play directly. I might be wrong but I don't think it works.
It's kind of ironic for a blue player to play empty handed.
Uba Mask would work well.
