But it's only good for the month, the idea is that during that time the streamer does members only streams which are really entertaining and worth the value of the membership with a reminder that the gifted membership will end. They then become full blown members (some of them at least) on their own.

@@alxcrvs1908 From my own experience, you have to be active in chat to be eligible (don't know how active precisely) and then when memberships are dropped, you get a notification within chat to activate receiving gifts for that specific streamer. It's easy to miss in Holo streams as chat usually zooms. However, when you activate it you can usually get a membership within the same stream (or next stream). Hope this helps!

But since there were thousands of gifts it would have been very easy to comment a few times and get it moments later. It happened to me.
