What you enjoy, is different from account value, for people have to plan their pulls, at the end of the day it's no one else's issue who you want to pull for. But, also different having to avoid something to cope your decisions.

And being able to free Sanhua (a character whom these same creators said "works in ANY team") is a big plus by itself already. Now that I can get a sub for her, Sanhua can boost the dmg output of my other teams. If my team can't 3* a tower, adding Sanhua in almost always solves that problem.
@@ACatPassingBy Kinda true, but this isn't any Gacha. Everything depends on what you like and what's your playstyle. The "skill issue" should be also taken into consideration. If you have Zhezhi + either Jinhsi or Carlotta, you are already good to go for any endgame content - I'm not talking about Holograms, because you can just ask for carry on the official Discord and whales will be more than happy to just help you, but about everything un-coop-able. Rover + Sanhua is crazy strong combo (both are free). Carlotta or Jinhsi + Zhezhi combo is so strong that +20% dmg resist on enemies means few seconds of difference. All in all, if you are the main of Encore team and Camellya team, you need Roccia. If you are the main of Jinshi, Jiyang, Xiangli or Carlotta teams, you don't need her at all.
@ That's fair, however I believe that Havoc Rover which everyone has, can also still benefit from Roccia especially her crowd-control. By having Roccia, you already get a solid team with H.Rover which can keep Sanhua free to help other teams that may need faster rotations, an extra buff, and/or an extra damage output. Also yeah I'm only really talking about ToA. By having H.Rover + Rocia + Healer, and 'Any/Other DPS' + Sanhua + Healer (Baizhi works), you already get two solid teams for ToA just by having Roccia. Edit: Just to add, these two teams can already work to 30/30 ToA with a good enough build. You just need 1 other decently upgraded DPS character to do stage 2-3 of both side towers solo/duo with a barely upgraded one, so they can focus on both Stage 1 & 4's and middle tower.
Roccia + Havoc Rover is also going to be a really good team, Roccia gives BA + Havoc dmg, HRover has 40% of the dmg done based on BA. And what we are getting soon™ is S6 for Havoc Rover In the Dark Surge state, Rover's Crit. Rate is increased by 25%.... so he'll be a really hard hitter!
@@chynonm his ult still got 20% havoc damage buff. Danjin only buff 23% Havoc damage. 3% but in other side his basic attack would get in total 45% damage bonus with Roccua instead of 23% in total with Danjin. Overall still very net positive.
Thank you for some much needed balance to the wuwa CC space. I feel like everyone just looks at her outro buff, sees it's not that much better than Sanhua's, and then skips her on that basis. When in actuality, what she offers is not just an outro buff, but damage worthy of a 5 star. Further amplified by the new havoc set, S tier grouping, and synergy with not just Camellya, but freaking havoc Rover, who everyone already owns, that you can comfortably clear content with, should you want to. She's gonna be one of the most underrated characters for sure.
grouping? yes. damage? eeeeeeh, not that much while yes, she deals more damage, the same investment on danjin deals almost the same damage with the same rotation speed. she has ~50-60k more dmg than danjin. i don't want to discourage you, since im just a yt random, her overall dmg boost for camellya team in comparison to S6 danjin or sanhua is ~10% character and gameplay is amazing, but she's more like changli in terms of lmited 5* power (sadly even less ;_;) im not sure if i'll pull for her, because originally i wanted to max out my camellya but that difference is too little for me to care, but i might change my mind depending on her story quest because she's adorable AF
@@abra2133 Keep in mind her ult attack buffs applies to the entire team, and she gets to use the new midnight veil set with extra 500% nuke on swap. Might actually be a fun playstyle to swap back to her often, just to proc that repeatedly. Danjin is single target focused and offers no grouping, can't really be compared imo. A Rover, Roccia AND Danjin quickswap team tho? Now we're talking. Probably gonna hurt your hand from all the buttons you have to press, but I bet it's quite good.

she really doesnt give much of an improvement over sanhua if it aint broke dont fix it people would rather spend pulls fixing something that is broken, because that actually has a noticeable difference
Just pull whoever you like-everyone enjoys the game differently. Some people play for the meta, some want the most powerful DPS while spending minimally or staying F2P, and others just pull for looks, not caring about an extra 10% damage. Some prioritize fun gameplay, while others only care about max damage and staying F2P. In the end, just enjoy the game your own way.
They disregard it because it's another echo grind and a very niche set that's basically tailored for Roccia only as of right now. Personally I have no problems with the grind because I was gonna get those echoes from grinding the coordinated attack set anyway. And I'm fortunate enough to be swimming in tuners and echo exp
I needed this video🙏 I really liked trying her and loved when she said "mamma mia". That alone got me thinking of getting all her copies along with the segnature weapon. I then watched a lot of videos saying "she's bad, a must skip". Let's repeat together: "If a character is fun to you, no meta should break your enjoyment fot them". Having seen what content creators and social media like reddit do to misrepresent something as being weak happens more often than I'd like. The exact same thing happened with wolverine in marvel rivals. All the cc's rated him bottom tier and nobody played him because of this reputation. Turns out he was always good but misunderstood and requires people to actually play and learn his skill floor/ceiling. I think Roccia is suffering from the same problem and she hasn't even released yet for crying out loud. Once people actually get their hands on her, I think many people will change their mind
AGREE! 💯 Her grouping function is so accessible when compared to jianxin. I also said that her vacuum function is applicable to any party, put it in anywhere, the party can kill enemies easier 100% of the time. And some replies(im paraphrasing, but theres the idea) said "you will only pull her for camellya buff, if you dont have camellya, shes a waste, you are making a big mistake"

@axylum4453 Bad faith argument because Sanhua exists. Sanhua gives almost the exact same buffs as Roccia in exchange for lower damage, but also less field time required. As it stands, Jinhsi does not have a dedicated support who can quickly fill concerto and give ~40% damage deepen like how Carlotta has Zhezhi or Camellya has Sanhua. The closest is Zhezhi, but it's still a ways away from how good the other 2 teams are comparatively. Also, when people discuss Roccia's value, they're mostly talking about using her in the hardest content, A.K.A. tower of adversity or holograms. Grouping is unnecessary in these cases because they're almost always boss fights. Her grouping is a quality of life thing rather than an actual bonus in most hard content
I remember when people clowned on Kazuha because he was just 5* sucrose in genshin. With wuwa releasing a CC type of kit, I'm assuming ToA is going to have more group stages. Roccia will be a utility focused support in the long run.
The buffing capabilities might be similar but the damage capabilities isn't. Roccia deals more damage than Sanhua. Brant is also similar in this aspect.
Yes but Camellya likely does more dmg than Roccia, and San hua's field time is like 2 seconds so Roccia is competing with Camellya not San Hua in terms of damage output

I'm getting Brant and Roccia on my main account. F2P account is getting Phoebe and Zani. I have a buuunncchh of pulls saved for Phoebe/Zani bc my f2p account is newer (main is a day 1 account) so I haven't pulled on ANY limited banner yet. I'm just using Encore. I'm still debating if I'll try for Brant on the f2p account too (to pair with Encore) or not. It depends on if I think I'll have enough pulls for Zani left since she's the priority since I'll have Brant on the main account anyway. We'll see.
I am not skipping Roccia, I tried her out and loved how she plays. I always try to test each character before pulling them, I was not going to pull Camellia at first but then I tried her out and fell in love with her Beyblade spins, so I pulled for her. Same with Carlotta. Brant is also on my list but I am not saying anything before I test him out. In the end, everything is up to luck and the will of the RNG gods. After all, my main team is still Spectro Rover, Baizhi and Encore. And I can beat every boss with that team
Those who skips Roccia will surely regret it later. There has to be a reason why Kuro added a character with very strong grouping ability. I bet Kuro will add enemies in TOA with very far distance to each other. Its going to be an easy clear using characters with wider range attacks like Carlotta or Phoebe or chars with grouping ability like Roccia but harder for Sanhua Camellya team. Its not really uncommon for devs to go with this kinda move to make endgame contents harder.

He states it as if it is fact that mama Mia should be said with emotion and justifies it by saying "if she's shy and reserved then she shouldn't have said it to begin with". I see that as a subjective take because he made the assumption that a "shy and reserved" character wouldn't say that. We literally have no idea if they would or wouldn't say that. Him making the assumption that they wouldn't is his subjective take. That is what he thinks is believable, which is fair, but definitely not objective. To add to this, (I was watching his stream live when he made his take) his chat was very divided on whether they agree or disagree on his take. He also goes on to ask Saintontas on his opinion of roccia's mama mia to which Saint's opinion mirrored his, which feeds his confirmation bias. He also went on to argue, on call, with one of his viewers for like 40 minutes and it literally felt like an argument between subjective opinions and he kept hinging on the "mama mia is said with emotion". Nothing is really said on the possibility that mama mia can be spoken without emotion. It's just Tectone's subjective opinion that saying mama mia without emotion sounds bad.
Great vid! She is really good, she has personal damage, grouping, and her damage amp is significant. However, Sanhua is already busted with 0 investment and Camellya is also busted. Though she could free up Sanhua for Encore

We do share the same point of view here, brother. I pulled the characters not because of meta, but rather than gameplay wise. Because playing the same character feels really boring, same rotation over and over. But because having a lot of characters you can swap out and play a different team, different rotation. That's what makes it enjoyable.
jumping back in since 2.0 everyone is saying skip because of the other havoc chick that was released before i came back so the only dps havoc i have is rover, adding roccia makes me interested because of the grouping and fun bouncing but also ill be keen to learn if she works better with the demon from the bank if she is havoc too, thank you for actually talking about how she can be good

Same. I had to go 140 pulls to get Carlotta. Verina on 70 pulls didn't help at all. Got her weapon in 10 pulls because I tried hard for Camellya's weapon and failed. I do want Roccia for my Camellya because I think she can provide quite a bit of damage buff from her kit and the new midnight echo set. But I also want Shorekeeper (wifekeeper) since she is the best healer. But I only have around 5.3k asterites. So I am kind of split on Roccia or waiting for Shorekeeper.
pulling roccia will free my camellya from sanhua and let sanhua join another dps that need her.... like encore, havoc rover and even lingyang. sanhua so far is one of the best 4 star of the game and have the fastest rotation of the game. roccia will also help a lot at the tower floors with more than 2 waves of mobs +boss. i liked the gameplay ,i can see potential on her , i will pull for her and her weapon.

I am skipping Roccia bc I am a broke F2P and am waiting for Phoebe but I love Roccia in the story a lot. Also her JP va is so cute, one of the voices that makes you wanna protect and cherish the character a lot, her voice acting made me emotional for Roccia a lot during the story, she is precious!
The same thing happened with Zhezhi. People said she was a skip, but then Carlotta showed up as a Tier 0 Sub-DPS, proving that Sub-DPS units is not that bad

I never understood meta in this games, it's a game have fun, pull for who you want not just for meta, cuz meta is for endgame so basically a few more resources to pull but it's not a lot.
While she may not be the best upgrade for camellya team, she is the best upgrade for havoc rover team. A good investment as havoc rover is already SS tier. Shorekeeper, roccia, havoc rover would be the best havoc rover team soon.
People everywhere, used to say Zhezhi was shit, a 100% skip, even after her release they kept saying that. Guess what? She is arguable the best character in the game. I'd say that happened because of her personality, being a shy weirdo, and not having massive 50 pounds boobs. Roccia will follow the same path, her AOE group is being massively underrated. I want Roccia because fireworks, Mama Mia. I want brant because Brant Sparrow goes Tarzan. I want Phoebe because she Lux riding her magic bird. In short, I will only get 1 of the 3 and whoever they be, I know I'll enjoy the hell out of them. ✨️

Absolutely agree, besides the tower of adversity 90% of the gameplay is farming/exploring based. I prefer characters that are fun and decent to farm and explore over a character that can nuke but requires a lot of setup to succeed. That’s personally why i’m pulling her!
For f2p, having 2 (or 3) accounts is the best way to get all character ( and their sig weapons ). And luckily, with Skip button and trial characters in events, this is very optimal and easy. Or you could pull characters you don't want on a secondary account to test/play with before pulling on your main account ( f2p or not).
I'm definitely pulling for her!!! I love her gameplay, and she's just such a fun and silly character. I'm so sad I'm going to have to skip Phoebe to save for Brant though, hopefully i can get her on a rerun!
I agree with you in the sense that gameplay>meta. However, as a f2p right now i just need tp focus on teams that can full star the tower to secure maximum amount of pulls. Which means for now i pull meta then once i can clear tower with the meta units i pulled then i can go picking whoever i find fun that releases.
I only started playing when it came out on ps5, so Jinhsi is priority (plus I only have 1 good team), but I have enough for both of them. I'll probably pull Roccia. Gonna wait till I see what she can do after the banner drops and how many pulls it takes for Jinhsi. And yeah, that fist bump was adorable af 😊 I liked her kit as a demo.
It really doesn't matter who you pull in this game because of how many options you have for teams, if you pull Roccia you have a bunch of options for characters to use her with if you don't have Camellya, you can pair her up with Encore, Havoc Rover, Danjin, Aalto, maybe even Mortefi if Roccia's damage is high enough to work as a main dps. Also, if you have 70% crit rate on Roccia, she gives 200 flat attack for the whole team for 30 seconds after using her liberation, so she can be decent with any atk-scaling dps, which is like all of them so far.
100% pulling for her because her gameplay is really fun and the grouping is gonna be super useful to avoid malding in tower. Pulling for her also frees Sanhua to be used with Encore or some future basic attack character. Also because I don't give a F! about Phoebe and Brant
I like Roccia's abilities. She does look fun. However for me it's most likely a skip simply because Phoebe and Zani are a must for me. So gotta save my pulls for them.
The only reason to pull Toothpaste is to free Sanhua from Camellya team. As for grouping ability, there is Jianxin also. I dont see a reason to pull for her unless you are a collector, a whale or you really really like her. Which is all fine in my opinion.
Reasons are many, she is bis for 3 characters, one of the havoc rover that's strong, I'd like to say she is very f2p friendly if you build her right, but unlike most of CC I won't judge her value before release bc we don't know how good she actually will perform
Roccia is a kuudere that isn't done in JP. I get that it's a bit weird for other people but (imo) her VA did a pretty solid job in performing a shy and introverted, kuudere character to an EN voiceover.
I think that what most ppl expecting but in story she ended up just shy one. heck I actually expecting ussual trope small character like roccia being kuudere-confident as captain and brant are a bit of comic relief and the first mate

I would guess she just isn't 100% because making her expressions and voice completely emotionless would make her look stiff for other players. This is the balanced approach. Tectone is already complaining about her being emotionless as is. Mainly because of the "mamma mia" but making that part lively would be a whiplash to her introverted kuudere character. She's *trying* to be lively though.
@@d1-vi I play with JP voice and I didnt even see any kuudere in her. just shy girl that like perform and unfairly banished. there 2 issues that I can think off. roccia eyes generally give impression of bright and smiling instead flat impression that Kuudere usually have. voice direction a bit miss because VA didnt showed what the character doing in voice that they do. like we can see visually brant supposed to be monologue and getting excited with camera panning further but his voice getting lower instead. or darklotta overall voice feel flat, lack up and down. like the VA playing safe because cant imagine what she supposed do in that scene then again roccia more like support character in main story 2.0 and barely got any spotlight so I guess waiting for her comp quest to know her personality further
@ywzgbf6873 fair enough. Companion quest would be much needed for people to get to know her personality better. I do just think that despite chalking her as a Kuudere, they didn't want her to be a flat personality, because as they probably anticipated, people are already having issues with her being "expressionless" as is. Majority probably are not used to that kind of character. The only one that comes to my mind is Qiqi from Genshin, and I haven't met anyone who talked about Qiqi as a character ever.
I like her and I would love to get her for any havoc dps, however I don’t really need her and i want to focus on Brant first, since he's: 1) a male character (probably won't more male characters for a long time after him) 2) he's rumored to be good with Changli, so maybe I'll pick Roccia up on her rerun one day, but for now I don't have an incentive to pull her.
Roccia's concerto is slower than Sanhua for sure but we can make it works just like Zhezhi. Better buff, pull enemies, possibly high damage as well. Honestly when people said we will brick our account when we pull for her, that is stupid. Just because we have Sanhua for Basic Attack team.
if her grouping is good enough honestly she can have value in non-synergy teams. besides comfort, grouping to hit 2 enemies at a time doubles your effective dps.
Pulled here on accident while building Brant pity, but I loved her so much in the story, that I’m really happy now ❤ guess Brant could cost me a euro or two now 👀
I have no “need” for her on my account, I don’t have/want Camellya but she is just too cool as a character so I’ll pull for her, it’s good to build your account around fun and not Meta

Jinhsi is definitely a must have but because you don't have Jinhsi already.. you have the choice to decide whether to get Jinhsi or Phoebe because if I'm not wrong, Phoebe is also a dps and ofc she's spectro.
Honestly people saying not to pull her only makes me want to pull for her now. I don't have Camellya but i can still use her with my Havoc Rover plus she is a good sub-dps and fun to play.
HAH I won't be skipping Roccia. Are these people that say skip to Roccia by chance the ones that wasted all their pulls on Carlotta when she is an incredibly technical character and not everyone will be able to play her to her full usage? Because if they are they only got themselves to blame for following the hype. I already have Zhezhi which I built to be extremly strong and Camellya and I'll definitely will be pulling Roccia. I have made it a habit to pull for any support I can because damage dealers are all well and good but if you lack supports these weekly game modes become impossible.
i like her design n shes a great buffer, but with c6 sanhua and camellya with signature already being VERY good, i dont see a point right now. like, yes, roccia is definetely a better buffer than sanhua even at c6, BUT is it really NEEDED atm? my camellya + sanhua can clear everything easily unless theres havoc res. id rather save up and pull for a support for jinshi, because now carlotta and jinshi are fighting for zhezhi. ill possibly get her on a rerun. i think 'skipping' is fine, but i dont like when youtubers shout 'awful 5 star' in thumbnails when thats just not true at all
I watched that vid of saintontas and his point was roccia rotation was longer than sanhua so if you combine it with shorekeeper and also camella rotation that was so long it not enough for 1 rotation, but its not so vad because he also point out that roccia also buff the atk damage and also have a much higher damage than sanhua

I would said roccia would probably play an role in future content when u need group enemy together . Most game devs when they design a character like roccia , they already designed an enemy or stage that will need roccia 's ability of grouping enemy together it probably just me playing too much blue archive where the new saori swimsuit unit act like an important counter (by inflicting dot ) against their new boss , a transformer ship boss ( that need lot of dot to reduce his bar ) that boss was super pain in the ass without the new saori swimsuit unit ( it was much harder without her )
I agree that little playtime with trial Roccia during the story isn't really showing the full picture, but it does show some parts of her kit and the issues she has/can have. 3:53 - are sure about this? If you going with a team that I would say will be the "default" for Roccia, that is her + Camellya + SK, then I'm afrait you'll have to do quickswaps to precharge her concerto if you want to have a chance at getting enhanced SK's intro. Even with Sanhua, who have MUCH shorter field time, it's sometimes a problem if you don't line up Sanhua's & SK's concerto. Alternatively, you can cope that losing SK's enhanced intro isn't a big deal or pull for S1 SK, I guess. 4:10 - Sanhua also buffs ATK at S6, and I dare to say that most players who play for some time already have Sanhua's S6 or are close. If you have Camellya with her sig weapon, Sanhua's S6 buff gives more ATK than Roccia. It's not that Roccia is bad, but her damage upgrade comes with so many trade-offs that she becomes a sidegrade, making her pretty much not bringing new anything new to the table, but just more of the same. Which means that for some accounts she can be the best thing possible, while totally useless for others. That said, I'm skipping her purely because I find both her appearence and gameplay aspect the least impressive of all incoming characters. And my asterites aren't infinite, sacrifices must be made somewhere. Edit: spelling smh
The biggest downside I guess to her kit is the field time. While sanhua has pretty much near 0 field time, roccia needs to be bouncing for a lot of time. Because of this, you would want to build her damage which requires more investment than sanhua to be in par with the overall team DPS of sanhua. At least those are my thoughts for now
Im bricking my account by pulling Roccia. too much Sanhua coping going on. Irs like saying no to variety. its like saying no to additional team building power. People will just repeat the deal with Zhezhi an i will just laugh when they have to choose between the NEW character and the OLD one (lol carlotta and zhezhi in the same phase...) instead of just getting her while shes the ONLY new character in the phase... And being able to free Sanhua (a character whom these same creators said "works in ANY team") is a big plus by itself already. Now that I can get a sub for her, Sanhua can boost the dmg output of my other teams. If my team can't 3* a tower, adding Sanhua in almost always solves that problem.
@@ACatPassingBy Kinda true, but this isn't any Gacha. Everything depends on what you like and what's your playstyle. The "skill issue" should be also taken into consideration. If you have Zhezhi + either Jinhsi or Carlotta, you are already good to go for any endgame content - I'm not talking about Holograms, because you can just ask for carry on the official Discord and whales will be more than happy to just help you, but about everything un-coop-able. Rover + Sanhua is crazy strong combo (both are free). Carlotta or Jinhsi + Zhezhi combo is so strong that +20% dmg resist on enemies means few seconds of difference.
All in all, if you are the main of Encore team and Camellya team, you need Roccia. If you are the main of Jinshi, Jiyang, Xiangli or Carlotta teams, you don't need her at all.
@ That's fair, however I believe that Havoc Rover which everyone has, can also still benefit from Roccia especially her crowd-control.
By having Roccia, you already get a solid team with H.Rover which can keep Sanhua free to help other teams that may need faster rotations, an extra buff, and/or an extra damage output.
Also yeah I'm only really talking about ToA. By having H.Rover + Rocia + Healer, and 'Any/Other DPS' + Sanhua + Healer (Baizhi works), you already get two solid teams for ToA just by having Roccia.
Edit: Just to add, these two teams can already work to 30/30 ToA with a good enough build. You just need 1 other decently upgraded DPS character to do stage 2-3 of both side towers solo/duo with a barely upgraded one, so they can focus on both Stage 1 & 4's and middle tower.
Roccia + Havoc Rover is also going to be a really good team, Roccia gives BA + Havoc dmg, HRover has 40% of the dmg done based on BA. And what we are getting soon™ is S6 for Havoc Rover In the Dark Surge state, Rover's Crit. Rate is increased by 25%.... so he'll be a really hard hitter!

When in actuality, what she offers is not just an outro buff, but damage worthy of a 5 star. Further amplified by the new havoc set, S tier grouping, and synergy with not just Camellya, but freaking havoc Rover, who everyone already owns, that you can comfortably clear content with, should you want to. She's gonna be one of the most underrated characters for sure.

while yes, she deals more damage, the same investment on danjin deals almost the same damage with the same rotation speed. she has ~50-60k more dmg than danjin.

Might actually be a fun playstyle to swap back to her often, just to proc that repeatedly. Danjin is single target focused and offers no grouping, can't really be compared imo. A Rover, Roccia AND Danjin quickswap team tho? Now we're talking. Probably gonna hurt your hand from all the buttons you have to press, but I bet it's quite good.

Just pull whoever you like-everyone enjoys the game differently. Some people play for the meta, some want the most powerful DPS while spending minimally or staying F2P, and others just pull for looks, not caring about an extra 10% damage. Some prioritize fun gameplay, while others only care about max damage and staying F2P. In the end, just enjoy the game your own way.

Having seen what content creators and social media like reddit do to misrepresent something as being weak happens more often than I'd like. The exact same thing happened with wolverine in marvel rivals. All the cc's rated him bottom tier and nobody played him because of this reputation. Turns out he was always good but misunderstood and requires people to actually play and learn his skill floor/ceiling.
I think Roccia is suffering from the same problem and she hasn't even released yet for crying out loud. Once people actually get their hands on her, I think many people will change their mind

Massive aoe, strong suction, 10 second cooldown and isn't an ultimate (therefore doesn't need ER). Her outro even replaces the gadget for a second instance of grouping after roccia is already swapped off. Yangyang and Jianxin are malding 😭
@axylum4453 Bad faith argument because Sanhua exists. Sanhua gives almost the exact same buffs as Roccia in exchange for lower damage, but also less field time required.
As it stands, Jinhsi does not have a dedicated support who can quickly fill concerto and give ~40% damage deepen like how Carlotta has Zhezhi or Camellya has Sanhua. The closest is Zhezhi, but it's still a ways away from how good the other 2 teams are comparatively.
Also, when people discuss Roccia's value, they're mostly talking about using her in the hardest content, A.K.A. tower of adversity or holograms.
Grouping is unnecessary in these cases because they're almost always boss fights. Her grouping is a quality of life thing rather than an actual bonus in most hard content

I'm getting Brant and Roccia on my main account. F2P account is getting Phoebe and Zani. I have a buuunncchh of pulls saved for Phoebe/Zani bc my f2p account is newer (main is a day 1 account) so I haven't pulled on ANY limited banner yet. I'm just using Encore. I'm still debating if I'll try for Brant on the f2p account too (to pair with Encore) or not. It depends on if I think I'll have enough pulls for Zani left since she's the priority since I'll have Brant on the main account anyway.

I am not skipping Roccia, I tried her out and loved how she plays. I always try to test each character before pulling them, I was not going to pull Camellia at first but then I tried her out and fell in love with her Beyblade spins, so I pulled for her. Same with Carlotta.
Brant is also on my list but I am not saying anything before I test him out. In the end, everything is up to luck and the will of the RNG gods.
After all, my main team is still Spectro Rover, Baizhi and Encore. And I can beat every boss with that team
Those who skips Roccia will surely regret it later. There has to be a reason why Kuro added a character with very strong grouping ability. I bet Kuro will add enemies in TOA with very far distance to each other. Its going to be an easy clear using characters with wider range attacks like Carlotta or Phoebe or chars with grouping ability like Roccia but harder for Sanhua Camellya team. Its not really uncommon for devs to go with this kinda move to make endgame contents harder.

He states it as if it is fact that mama Mia should be said with emotion and justifies it by saying "if she's shy and reserved then she shouldn't have said it to begin with". I see that as a subjective take because he made the assumption that a "shy and reserved" character wouldn't say that. We literally have no idea if they would or wouldn't say that. I pulled the characters not because of meta, but rather than gameplay wise.
Because playing the same character feels really boring, same rotation over and over. But because having a lot of characters you can swap out and play a different team, different rotation. That's what makes it enjoyable.

Same. I had to go 140 pulls to get Carlotta. Verina on 70 pulls didn't help at all. Got her weapon in 10 pulls because I tried hard for Camellya's weapon and failed. I do want Roccia for my Camellya because I think she can provide quite a bit of damage buff from her kit and the new midnight echo set. But I also want Shorekeeper (wifekeeper) since she is the best healer. But I only have around 5.3k asterites. So I am kind of split on Roccia or waiting for Shorekeeper.

pulling roccia will free my camellya from sanhua and let sanhua join another dps that need her.... like encore, havoc rover and even lingyang. sanhua so far is one of the best 4 star of the game and have the fastest rotation of the game. roccia will also help a lot at the tower floors with more than 2 waves of mobs +boss. i liked the gameplay ,i can see potential on her , i will pull for her and her weapon.

While she may not be the best upgrade for camellya team, she is the best upgrade for havoc rover team. A good investment as havoc rover is already SS tier. Shorekeeper, roccia, havoc rover would be the best havoc rover team soon.

Absolutely agree, besides the tower of adversity 90% of the gameplay is farming/exploring based. I prefer characters that are fun and decent to farm and explore over a character that can nuke but requires a lot of setup to succeed. That’s personally why i’m pulling her!
For f2p, having 2 (or 3) accounts is the best way to get all character ( and their sig weapons ). And luckily, with Skip button and trial characters in events, this is very optimal and easy. Or you could pull characters you don't want on a secondary account to test/play with before pulling on your main account ( f2p or not).
I'm definitely pulling for her!!! I love her gameplay, and she's just such a fun and silly character. I'm so sad I'm going to have to skip Phoebe to save for Brant though, hopefully i can get her on a rerun!
I agree with you in the sense that gameplay>meta. However, as a f2p right now i just need tp focus on teams that can full star the tower to secure maximum amount of pulls. Which means for now i pull meta then once i can clear tower with the meta units i pulled then i can go picking whoever i find fun that releases.

I only started playing when it came out on ps5, so Jinhsi is priority (plus I only have 1 good team), but I have enough for both of them. I'll probably pull Roccia. Gonna wait till I see what she can do after the banner drops and how many pulls it takes for Jinhsi.

It really doesn't matter who you pull in this game because of how many options you have for teams, if you pull Roccia you have a bunch of options for characters to use her with if you don't have Camellya, you can pair her up with Encore, Havoc Rover, Danjin, Aalto, maybe even Mortefi if Roccia's damage is high enough to work as a main dps. Also, if you have 70% crit rate on Roccia, she gives 200 flat attack for the whole team for 30 seconds after using her liberation, so she can be decent with any atk-scaling dps, which is like all of them so far.
100% pulling for her because her gameplay is really fun and the grouping is gonna be super useful to avoid malding in tower.
Pulling for her also frees Sanhua to be used with Encore or some future basic attack character.
Also because I don't give a F! about Phoebe and Brant

Reasons are many, she is bis for 3 characters, one of the havoc rover that's strong, I'd like to say she is very f2p friendly if you build her right, but unlike most of CC I won't judge her value before release bc we don't know how good she actually will perform
Just got Roccia in 2x pulls and her weapon 2x pulls, i don't regret pulling her, she's fun to play.
Roccia is a kuudere that isn't done in JP. I get that it's a bit weird for other people but (imo) her VA did a pretty solid job in performing a shy and introverted, kuudere character to an EN voiceover.
I think that what most ppl expecting but in story she ended up just shy one.
heck I actually expecting ussual trope small character like roccia being kuudere-confident as captain and brant are a bit of comic relief and the first mate
@@ywzgbf6873 for EN, this is probably as close as we can get to a Kuudere representation. I would guess she just isn't 100% because making her expressions and voice completely emotionless would make her look stiff for other players. This is the balanced approach.
Tectone is already complaining about her being emotionless as is. Mainly because of the "mamma mia" but making that part lively would be a whiplash to her introverted kuudere character. She's *trying* to be lively though.

there 2 issues that I can think off. roccia eyes generally give impression of bright and smiling instead flat impression that Kuudere usually have.
voice direction a bit miss because VA didnt showed what the character doing in voice that they do. like we can see visually brant supposed to be monologue and getting excited with camera panning further but his voice getting lower instead. or darklotta overall voice feel flat, lack up and down. like the VA playing safe because cant imagine what she supposed do in that scene
then again roccia more like support character in main story 2.0 and barely got any spotlight so I guess waiting for her comp quest to know her personality further
@ywzgbf6873 fair enough. Companion quest would be much needed for people to get to know her personality better.
I do just think that despite chalking her as a Kuudere, they didn't want her to be a flat personality, because as they probably anticipated, people are already having issues with her being "expressionless" as is. Majority probably are not used to that kind of character.
The only one that comes to my mind is Qiqi from Genshin, and I haven't met anyone who talked about Qiqi as a character ever.

I like her and I would love to get her for any havoc dps, however I don’t really need her and i want to focus on Brant first, since he's: 1) a male character (probably won't more male characters for a long time after him) 2) he's rumored to be good with Changli, so maybe I'll pick Roccia up on her rerun one day, but for now I don't have an incentive to pull her.
i will absolutely pull for roccia, just based on personality. Her design is sick too. Camellya/Roccia gonna be fierce.
Roccia's concerto is slower than Sanhua for sure but we can make it works just like Zhezhi. Better buff, pull enemies, possibly high damage as well. Honestly when people said we will brick our account when we pull for her, that is stupid. Just because we have Sanhua for Basic Attack team.
if her grouping is good enough honestly she can have value in non-synergy teams. besides comfort, grouping to hit 2 enemies at a time doubles your effective dps.
Yeah, she’ll be this games Kazuha when people realise grouping potential is insane when you need it.

Pulled here on accident while building Brant pity, but I loved her so much in the story, that I’m really happy now ❤ guess Brant could cost me a euro or two now 👀
I know co-op isn't much talked about, but her Liberation giving 200 Atk to the party means she herself, but also 2 friends get that buff.

i’m so bored of playing sanhua which is why i’m pulling. i love roccia gameplay and had so much fun. also her being camellyas bis adds to it.

Jinhsi is definitely a must have but because you don't have Jinhsi already.. you have the choice to decide whether to get Jinhsi or Phoebe because if I'm not wrong, Phoebe is also a dps and ofc she's spectro.

Honestly people saying not to pull her only makes me want to pull for her now. I don't have Camellya but i can still use her with my Havoc Rover plus she is a good sub-dps and fun to play.
HAH I won't be skipping Roccia. Are these people that say skip to Roccia by chance the ones that wasted all their pulls on Carlotta when she is an incredibly technical character and not everyone will be able to play her to her full usage? Because if they are they only got themselves to blame for following the hype. I already have Zhezhi which I built to be extremly strong and Camellya and I'll definitely will be pulling Roccia. I have made it a habit to pull for any support I can because damage dealers are all well and good but if you lack supports these weekly game modes become impossible.
I don't have a lot of astrite saved but I sure will try to pull for her, I believe she's going to be pretty fun.

i like her design n shes a great buffer, but with c6 sanhua and camellya with signature already being VERY good, i dont see a point right now.
like, yes, roccia is definetely a better buffer than sanhua even at c6, BUT is it really NEEDED atm? my camellya + sanhua can clear everything easily unless theres havoc res. id rather save up and pull for a support for jinshi, because now carlotta and jinshi are fighting for zhezhi. ill possibly get her on a rerun. i think 'skipping' is fine, but i dont like when youtubers shout 'awful 5 star' in thumbnails when thats just not true at all

I watched that vid of saintontas and his point was roccia rotation was longer than sanhua so if you combine it with shorekeeper and also camella rotation that was so long it not enough for 1 rotation, but its not so vad because he also point out that roccia also buff the atk damage and also have a much higher damage than sanhua

As Jiyan main, this suddenly got very personal in less than 30 sec in 😅... honestly I grew to like Roccia character and gameplay after trying her out, but I cannot afford to pull on random characters at this point.
I would said roccia would probably play an role in future content when u need group enemy together . Most game devs when they design a character like roccia , they already designed an enemy or stage that will need roccia 's ability of grouping enemy together
it probably just me playing too much blue archive where the new saori swimsuit unit act like an important counter (by inflicting dot ) against their new boss , a transformer ship boss ( that need lot of dot to reduce his bar )
that boss was super pain in the ass without the new saori swimsuit unit ( it was much harder without her )
I genuinely love her gameplay and her color scheme. I wish she wasn’t a child but other than that. I don’t care how many people say “don’t pull”.
I agree that little playtime with trial Roccia during the story isn't really showing the full picture, but it does show some parts of her kit and the issues she has/can have.
3:53 - are sure about this? If you going with a team that I would say will be the "default" for Roccia, that is her + Camellya + SK, then I'm afrait you'll have to do quickswaps to precharge her concerto if you want to have a chance at getting enhanced SK's intro. Even with Sanhua, who have MUCH shorter field time, it's sometimes a problem if you don't line up Sanhua's & SK's concerto. Alternatively, you can cope that losing SK's enhanced intro isn't a big deal or pull for S1 SK, I guess.
4:10 - Sanhua also buffs ATK at S6, and I dare to say that most players who play for some time already have Sanhua's S6 or are close. If you have Camellya with her sig weapon, Sanhua's S6 buff gives more ATK than Roccia.
It's not that Roccia is bad, but her damage upgrade comes with so many trade-offs that she becomes a sidegrade, making her pretty much not bringing new anything new to the table, but just more of the same. Which means that for some accounts she can be the best thing possible, while totally useless for others.
That said, I'm skipping her purely because I find both her appearence and gameplay aspect the least impressive of all incoming characters. And my asterites aren't infinite, sacrifices must be made somewhere.

The biggest downside I guess to her kit is the field time. While sanhua has pretty much near 0 field time, roccia needs to be bouncing for a lot of time. Because of this, you would want to build her damage which requires more investment than sanhua to be in par with the overall team DPS of sanhua.
At least those are my thoughts for now

People will just repeat the deal with Zhezhi an i will just laugh when they have to choose between the NEW character and the OLD one (lol carlotta and zhezhi in the same phase...) instead of just getting her while shes the ONLY new character in the phase...

I have 65 pity and only 15 pulls, but the reason why I'm gonna skip Roccia is because I joined the game at the end of 1.2 (I had no idea what pulls and limited characters are) so I'm gonna pull for Jinshi!!
