Hello, I'm a fellow 3M player and I've been playing the deck since it's release and have been trying to do the same goal as you, to be the best 3M player. I was wondering what sort of ideas or more or less a list of bt7 for NA with the limits and bans it's had compared to JP.
Love the decklist. I always loved 3 Musketeers back from bt6 and I'm happy seeing someone taking it to still compete with the Meta giving awesome ideas for the English Format.
Awesome deck profile, explaining all the tech choices was super helpful. One question, why no BT6-Imp? I'm assuming that its too slow and your deck has multiple other ways of recovering Beelstar that dropping it allows you to possibly play more impactful rookies?
Yeah, nail bone negating on plays makes BT6 imp not only too slow but also too inflexible imo; calling from darkness and dobermon are sufficient! I do wish it were good enough though, I love the parallel art of that card
Can you ask him why not use tamers for gaining memory? Sora/Joe or 2 cost blue Matt? I get why the blue tamer but why not Matt. For you: I plan to be playing MetalGaruru X when we get to this meta and Magnadramon X (maybe some Gaiomon as well depending on pulls) but where do those decks stack in terms of meta or competitivenesS?
Kiyoshiro is a reset 3 tamer and 3 memory is usually enough to get whatever you need done Cards like sora joe and 2 cost matt also depend on your opponent having digimon with no evo sources to have value, which is uncommon in the format due to the power of evolution decks like alphamon ouryuken, grandis, etc. If you want to use a tamer that gives memory beyond the reset 3, I would look at sora matt from bt9, which sees play due to the enormous hand sizes of decks in this format, while also enabling red options to be played
As explained at 15:49, most of the time if you are playing an option from hand/via beelstar, cocytus breath is not actually necessary. The reason 4 breaths are played is to maximize the odds of alpha ouryuken hitting one in security if you are unable to prevent it from attacking you. That said, the deck also draws through itself very quickly so in practice having 3 blue cards is more than sufficient
