Honest Box opening- Joseph 3month kit

Here is an honest reaction of the Joseph 3month kit that I received in the mail.
I really wanted to love this baby but after spotting all of the dark lines I just don’t know what to do with the baby.
Also a real reaction from my mum 😂
Creased look more purple than anything. There is a premixed paint colour designed for creases from bountiful baby that has a purple tinge to it so maybe that is what they used. If mixed with a touched a red and blended well if looks very natural. This artist clearly didn’t blend. For some reason a lot of artists think creases should be red but if you look at creases on your body they aren’t red. They just create a shadow. So highlighting creases should be making a subtle shadow effect. As for baking a rooted doll if you make sure the hair is soaking wet and put a wet cloth on top of it as well then baking it is fine. I have done it many times before with no issues.
Thankyou, her coloring is nice but the purple/ blue it just way too much and like you said she isn’t blended at all, she goes from red to white in some points then the blue lines that are just everywhere.
I would have been fine if it was a delicate blue creasing on the baby but not the way it is, it looks like the baby was painted and these gone around after and just painted blue lines everywhere.
After purchasing and receiving her I was Informed by the artist that she was intermediate and trying new paints(air dry - ultra fusion paints using the primary method.)
She probably should have mentioned that before I bought her, but all good. It’s done now.

The lines are horrible. I’m sorry you had that experience. But the kit is of a real baby, and this baby was really this size at three months old. So as far as size goes, he really was a big boy. But the creasing is not good. :/

I just can’t get my head around the fact Joseph is supposed to be 3 months. I’ve never seen a 3 month old that big. I feel he’s more 6 months at least lol! This is one of my fave sculpts. I’m with you with the blue, I don’t like too much blue. The pink on the fingers is a bit too much too. I think they’ve just went a bit crazy with the pink.

Yeah it is nuts, yeah the blue was too much, I sold her to someone and told her to watch the video so I was being honest and she still wanted her.
the baby is cute. It depends how much you paid if you paid 350 or less usd yu got a good doll. If you paid more then..I understand you being upset.

Painting is good & the too much blue in creases can be touched up & fixed to look more natural. My 2nd reborn was a LIam by Bonnie Brown.....toddler size....and I was like omg he's huge! I was worried I might regret the purchase due to his size, otherwise I adored him. I've found though the opposite is true. Over the past year or more I've grown used to his size & love him more than ever. I'd be more worried this artist sends her reborns out unprotected in a simple package. If you had any idea what goes on in mail rooms ect you'd realize how lucky you are she arrived undamaged this way.
The painting is it’s own style, personally it wasn’t something that I really liked.
I like the bigger babies they’re lots of fun ☺️

Haha, It is his sculpt name/ Reborn Kit name. To tell the difference between what reborn kits are what they all have a name :)

I know a lady who does that doll beautifully, you can redo it but strip everything that’s done which is a waste. That’s horrible
It was a bit of a shame, but like I have said other people may like her paintwork it just wasn’t for me :)

I got my Joseph baby with rooted hair everything painted perfectly and amazing so realistic including delivery to here Philippines just cost 80$ that doll looks so terrible sorry to say expose the artist! That made me upset you must be paying a lot for that yet just gave you disappointment .
Yes it’s sad that any artist can sell for any price even when the work isn’t great 🫣

That reborn artist did a bad job on her.
It wasnt my favorite painting, but she found a new mum now :)
I don't mind the blue , but my goodness , that hair 😱😱 , it's horrible. Looks like a dead , ratty mess. I'd probably try to get the artist to redo her .
I sold her on, the artist asked that I pay to ship her back but I was not going to pay for that as the condition wasn’t great. Someone else has bought her and has now decided to get her re painted :)
