Best feeling in classic was playing as warlock against warlock and after the opponent transformed into jaraxxus, casting the 0 mana destroy a demon card on him, winning the game
most of the decks he plays are sent by chat or something (he asks twitch chat for deck codes) i think because of the toni lethal was very similar to parrot mage right now
Was thinkin' this was gonna be an old run of a 'Basic' set deck vs the ladder, now THAT'S an impossible challenge. Legendary idea is cool, though. Look forward to seeing how you win with Lorewalker Cho, channel the inner Hobbs in ya.
Tirion was an amazing card because there wasn't as much card draw or card generation back then, so value in terms of x amount of cards eliminating y amount of cards from your opponent mattered a lot. Tirion could somewhat reliably take meaningful 1 for 5 exchanges between divine shield, main body, and 3 weapon hits. Now a days that kind of value really just doesn't matter almost at all so the best you can do with Tirion is try and push 15~21 damage with him over 4 turns and hope that somehow wins you a game.
@@dadeee7776 I mean people didn't even use tirion as a top end for aggro paladin decks in classic. Partially because any heavy card at all would ruin divine favor draw, but also that just wasn't a good way to push for a win. It's like slotting a super slow dead draw into your aggro deck to get a better hunter hero power for 3 turns in the end game.
I started playing in the grand tournament, and I remember tirion basically being a game ender. Because unless you have silence or weapon destruction, you were going to take 5 or 6 damage each turn. It felt like if you played him when your opponent had 15 hp, you just won
@@juliandacosta6841 TGT era had a lot of justicar trueheart warriors around that could basically nullify ashbringer hits by just hero powering, so it never really mattered vs control, and it also was too slow against aggro decks. Paladin at the time was pretty much strictly mysterious challenge oriented with hyper aggro or midrange lists both topping out at 6 cost minions. There was a control list but it was like.. F tier.
@@robertradford4707 yeah when i started playing i was rank 20 for awhile, but i might be thinking of the next 3 releases, but I can't remember any paladin decks from that era other than the murloc otk one
Hearthstone meta is currently pretty UA-cam if you ask me. Have you considered doing a tournament with your twitch subscribers with the requirement being - you need to bring a deck from one of your challenges. Loa tournament, death knight tournament and so on. Could be a fun way to fix roguestone.
I remember opening Cenarius in like, 2018, and I wanted so badly for him to work but he's just too slow to be good with the token type deck he works with. Still a little sad about it
My favorite otk is to use quest shaman, granite forgeborn to reduce cost of elementals, Al akir, and criminal line up to deal 24 damage in one turn. Not all one turn but if you buff Al akirs damage even once you go from 24 to 32 and if you buff it again it goes to 40. So snap dragon, arena fanatic, or mistcaller all work really well with this
Good thing Rarran played against meta decks like Silverback Patriarch Taunt Warrior. That means those decks were valid, and the best legendaries for each class in classic are still viable 👍
I just started playing recently so I'm fairly low down the ladder. I'm like 90% sure that mage in the first game is a bot. Seen so many mage accounts running that exact same deck. Pretty sure it's cause all the cards are default owned and they just try and scale ladder against people that don't have great decks. Though they improved recently, they used to only go face and they would just stop attacking if you put taunt cards down.
A simpler shaman combo could have been turn 9 bonelord into turn 10 free al'akir, 2 mana crazed alchemist or 2 mana rockbiter weapon into 8 mana criminal line up. No need for much set up, just 4 cards and just 10 mana
Is there a place to see the decks you've made for this video? I've been looking to make a deck centered around Grommash but I've fallen short in most matches and was looking for any other possible combos/plays
'Back in Hearthstone Classic Al'akir wasn't meta defining.' Uhh I mean I know you weren't there, and Shaman itself wasn't meta-defining, but if you were running midrange Shaman you 100% ran Al'akir.
Watching all these basic cards the opponent is playing made me realize you can do all these challenge videos again but with the stipulation of "at legend" or "at diamond 5" or whatever.
Back in classic we were introduced to the only legendaries we had ever seen
Rarran: "That was back in 2014"
Me, shaking my walking stick: "Hey! Yeah, hey! Shut the fuck up!"
Definitely some of the legendaries of all time
Accurate
This comment made me laugh
@@KraylebStudiosit’s very witty and accurate
Rarran getting spellbreakered on Tirion not once, BUT TWICE was absolutely hilarious

Rarran and the word "Impossible" go together like PB and J.
Impossible challenge! *Proceeds to play a regular game of raza priest against a low level player* , dude just makes content for the sake of content.
like b and j
I wish we could see our MMR. Rarran is secretly going for the 1st Negative MMR in history
One the things I like in your videos is literally your creativity about making a new kind of challenge
I love videos like these, because it is really cool to see how Rarran will adapt old cards with modern powercreep and deck design
most of the decks he plays are sent by chat or something (he asks twitch chat for deck codes) i think because of the toni lethal was very similar to parrot mage right now

Just play libram paladin and make the opponent concede. Classic Hobbs.

I haven’t played hs for 3 years and you almost make me want to go back.
Just watch the videos. It's better that way.
You're such a UA-cam UA-camr that I watch your videos whenever they show up in my recommended
You think he's UA-cam? Have you seen Kripp? The most UA-cam UA-cam I know!
Damn, you really ran into my homemade midrange hunter from 2015 in that last game
1:47 thier names are murloc and scout.
Back in 2014 the first legendary I opened from a pack was Golden Cenarius, didn't hesitate to disenchant and craft Jaraxxus :D
Rarran with the classic Raza misplay reminds of all the times I did the same
11:50 seeing rarran mulligan away foxy fraud, draw him again, and not even use him to boost edwin hurts my brain man.
I admire the massive amount of editing on this video. 30min with this editing everywhere
I remember opening Cenarius in like, 2018, and I wanted so badly for him to work but he's just too slow to be good with the token type deck he works with. Still a little sad about it
the problem with cenarius is that he's a 5/8. if he were just a 4 mana spell he'd be really good.
Insane classic challenge.... I used Tirion a lot when I first started playing standard in Voyage, which is funny to me now.
THE spell breaker part had me dying lol. Me and my gf used to call him emo dude, it was always an annoying card.
I was hoping when hunter came up you'd make an old joke about the hunter legendary being Savanah highmane
I love that Rarran never knows when it's a bot. The murlocs and taunters are always bots.
Anyone else remember running one of “Demonic Sacrifice”(might be called dark sacrifice) so you can kill your opponent for 0 if the Jaraxxus?
Yep
Sacrificial pact was the ultimate meme counter for Jaraxxus
I was so hyped to watch another one of these and it did not disappoint! :D
Oh my gosh. This is one of the most ambitious one of these yet

Good thing Rarran played against meta decks like Silverback Patriarch Taunt Warrior. That means those decks were valid, and the best legendaries for each class in classic are still viable 👍
Rarran is hearthstone content meta defining
I'm literally using Grommash in Standard the past 2 months haha... The 6 cost deathrattle where you die in 3 turns, play grom for 0.
25:27 "LIKE SWATTING INSECTS"
Good stuff as usual rarran, I don’t watch the streams but I love your stuff man, but don’t burn yourself out making so much hearthstone content.
Top quality content
The Ashbringer joke was funny lmaoo
The good old "you face jaraxxus"
You face Jaraxxus, eredar lord of the burning legion!
Missed opportunity to name the druid deck "John Cena-rius"
"Your opponent has left." All too real...
I think combo with alakir would be easier with new legendary which makes first card zero mana
There's plenty of ways to do it. Elemental discount package with Battlecry quest seems like an easy deck to make off the top of my head.
I’m a simple man, i see Rarran video, I click
Rarren ran into some mags bots lol, they flooded the lower ranks
Go further, and even more decided to use! You can really be far as decided twice as much to using go wish for it!
Rarran doesn’t know anything possible, nice videos though
All the priest legendaries giving me PTSD

You cannot tell me that the warrior matchup was not a stream sniper. I would not believe it. For sure a sniper.
When you dont know you playing vs a bot..
Lmao he's just straight up playing people on new accounts with only core cards
Kinda sucks that half the wins were against bots playing murloc tidehunter

Great video thank you for the content
I lost my mind when the person asked why run ramp in guff
TIL Al´Akir has two eyes. I always thought the gem on his hat was his eye.
You should do this challenge in classic format
Is there a place to see the decks you've made for this video? I've been looking to make a deck centered around Grommash but I've fallen short in most matches and was looking for any other possible combos/plays
First match is so painful to watch, i feel bad for that noobie.
Awesome, took me back!
That Lichking have been frozen for too long
11:44 pain for rogue main
Goated creator
It's impossible to tell that you're Canadian until you say things like house....Seems so unnatural, I love it
More importantly,, how many cards do you (personally) think you could eat in an hour?
like if they were physical cards? made from paper?
@@Rarran no. Eat the digital ones. You have 3 days. (And then it would be my birthday. c:) Do it.

bro didnt even realize first opponent was a bot
this is such a UA-cam move
Love the video! You're such a youtube
Bots in classic
Okay now do this challenge but in Classic format
Tirion's Ashbringer brings Ash
I love you Rarren goat
I haven't heard my name said so much before; I feel special af.
Where are all these people running senjin shieldmaster and Silverback when I play wild?
20:18 lip sync is pretty bad Rarran is not human. Confirmed
Dear Rarran, can i have a request challenge here? To do these legendary again BUT in actual Classic mode. And then get a win from them
All of the class legendaries were playable in Classic. Some were even meta.
PEAK IN BOOTS
Idk Rarran, none of these challenges seem that impossible. Although impressive
I mean I thought he was only using classic cards lol but no not in any way hard
Splendid Intercourse sounds like the name of a spell
Opponents say a lot about his mmr
Rarran bulliying new players
No way bro said he doesn't like Batman
The low rank wild opponents were pretty much just f2p people who haven't played much. core set cards with a couple of random things
Deck name for druid should’ve been
Why so Cenarius
when's the impossible two tusk challenge?
'Back in Hearthstone Classic Al'akir wasn't meta defining.'
Uhh I mean I know you weren't there, and Shaman itself wasn't meta-defining, but if you were running midrange Shaman you 100% ran Al'akir.
Yep. It was either Al'akir or Doomhammer or you ran that janky build that played both.
Wow that was a really youtube video
Well... yeeeaah, beating murloc newbie mage as a combo priest IS the achievement to be proud of...
Why do they call it oven when you of in the cold food out hot eat the food?
Lmao
11:50 u can play foxy for free and gain +2/+2 on him...
edit 12:01 ye good u saw it and it was comedic timing
now try and see if you can do the neutral ones that i'd watch
Now win by being a smorc
the first mage was a bot LMAO
the impossible hearthstone classic challenge: finding an opponent in classic
Imagine playing classic 2023 haha :)
Imagine wasting ur time commenting that in 2023 haha :)
murloc lackey
Finally some good f meal.
How come you didn't do the challenge in the classic format? Just genuinely wondering
the point of these videos is to see how older legendaries work in the current year, I cannot do that in classic
@@Rarran fair point. Thanks for the clarification!
It's also not much of a challenge in Classic. Every legendary is playable at the very least. Quite a few are played in meta decks.
Watching all these basic cards the opponent is playing made me realize you can do all these challenge videos again but with the stipulation of "at legend" or "at diamond 5" or whatever.
funny enough, i speak about this at near the end of the video
Why aren't you running Spellbreaker Rarran? It's obviously good
Can you try to win the Game with the 1/4 classic monkey?
