Filmed within 4 weeks in August and September 2023. Traveled ~10.000km by car, 21 nights slept in a rooftop tent. ~120.000 photos shot and 10TB of raw material. No drones were used in this production.

In its purest, most perfectionist form. No bullshit Gen-Z annoying as F in-your-face dizzying transitions backed by tasteless music. No extra fat. You kept it reduced, real, fundamental with core principles of photography. Composition. Light. Location. Story told with visuals and powerful, dramatic music. This is how you honor the beauty of a country.
I'm glad you're still doing this man, I appreciate it profoundly. Trust me, we're becoming a rare breed - we've survived the fashion phase of timelapse between 2011 and 2018 and the stayed the course when the rest gave up. There aren't many of us left. Stunning work from first to last second. Don't ever stop.
I think a lot of us were influenced by Tom Lowe and his Timescapes forum. But he seems to have disappeared off the map. Don`t know why
@morten.rustad set the bar for his Homeland. This is as close as anyone has come to dethroning him, although I wouldn't for a minute assume that was the intention Martin set out with. This is another masterpiece in the @TimestormFilms lexicon. Bravo as always Mr.Heck.

Thanks! No drones actually. I used a buggy driving on roads or bridge railings to get those really long shots from the ground!

At this level of technical perfection I Would be a roadblock to myself….
OMFG h*ly sh*t this video looks absolutely insanely stunning on the M4 ipad pro OLED in 1000 nits full screen SDR and AV1 codec. Even though it's in "only" 4K, the 8K upload just means that YT servers have four times more data for the 2160p downscaling. Oh, and dont forget that the source data which is probably like a gizzilion pixels. Thus, aaaaall the details are present. I havent seen such an SDR YT quality since native IMAX 70mm documentary trailers uploaded in 2160p SDR.
Speaking of which, that would be the coolest thing ever if you timelapse "community" could convince IMAX to "print" the RAW photos onto an actual 70mm IMAX film reell. Guys, imagine this on an 80 foot tall IMAX screen!! Crazy far fetched idea, but I cant be the only one dummb enough to wish for this :D
