  • Adding too much thermal paste is wrong. Or is it?
I've decided to "overpaste" my Sapphire Nitro+ RX580 8GB, the results are surprisingly good. But we'll se long term how well will this age.

Honestly PTM 7950 should be the standard for GPU's. I had 110C Hot Spot on my 7800XT even after 2 repastes with MX-6 and GELID GC-4 it was just too hard to get the perfect coverage across the die and always ended up with high hot spot temps. So I just ordered some cheap PTM 7950 from AliExpress for £4 not even the expensive HoneyWell kind and it was easy to apply a sheet over the die and now my hot spot is under 90C even with an Overclock. I will be using PTM 7950 on all my GPU's now.
