Wow Tom! This was a great flea market tour. You really scored some good deals especially on Star Trek plates. I am really enjoying your flea market content lately. I'm more a dead mall enthusiast but your flea market stuff is getting me enthusiastic as well. Great job on this video. 👍
I have so much respect for you that you saw a great deal on those plates and didn’t just buy them all to try and resell. It’s awesome to leave finds like that for other people. (I’m a very jealous Trekkie) Great video once again! Thanks for sharing.
I'm not a reseller, so I don't need duplicates. I also don't have space for duplicates. I'm pretty sure someone MUST have snagged the rest of those plates! I can't believe how cheap they were.
Tom , congrats on the 40K . A friend taught me that the wat to identify the age on those cast iron banks is to look at the mounting screws on the bottom . The newer reproductions have Phillips screws and the older ones have the flat head screws .
You are correct about the Philips screws, however you also need to remember that Philips head screws were invented in the 1930’s. So the banks could be that old…
@@Antiqueanalytics The point I was making is that Phillips screws were not used on cast iron banks although they were available . I am not an expert , just giving an opinion .
I have seen episodes of the Antique Nomad where he says the edges of the assembled pieces that have flashing or burs is a sign they are Chinese fakes. But also the screws, I agree. Slot-head screws or the absence of , are a good indicator.
This was a good one. Also, just subscribed to your second channel, I'm subscriber 440 now. Great flea market tour again! Look forward to the Nerd Cave tour.
RCA CED's are closer to Vinyl LP records than laser disks. Essentially it had a stylus that picked up both audio and video from a grooved disk. Many of the ones you find not only rot but if they look like they are in good shape, you may find the grooves in the disk are often damaged due to years of repeated play.
I keep looking in the back round to see if I can see myself walking around. Thanks for highlighting Grafton Flea, I sell there sometimes so more publicity the better lol
Hey Tom, you should check out Matt's Comics and Collectables in CT. Near Enfield, Somers area. Lots of cool stuff you'd probably like. Comics, figures, games, etc.
Hey Tom. Not too long ago I got an antique camera for 11 bucks total on ebay. I have it displayed in my china hutch and made a video. Me and you were born the same year!
A lot of this stuff is neat but I tend to avoid such things since I don't have a lot of room for displaying collectables. Though I'd be pawing through all of the cd's and vinyl's on the table in the beginning. As for the RCA video disc things, even if they were bad they'd still be nice to hang on a wall. If they were priced accordingly. :)
I put a lot of it on display. If I don't have room, it goes into storage. I just like having it. I'm going to have an amazing estate sale when I pass away.
You scored on those plates! Awesome deal! Pleased to hear you'll be posting on your 2nd channel. You do a great job on those scenic videos and we enjoy them!
Yes, I didn't have to think twice about buying those plates for that price! Hopefully, I can get a few more subscribers on the second channel and get it monetized. Once that happens, I'll probably post more on that channel. Thanks!
Yeah, I think the Optimus is maybe a year or two old. There are very few modern toys I will buy, but I thought it was pretty cool, and the price was right. Thanks for watching!
I live 20 mins from the Grafton flea market been there many times... Have you ever been to the Hubbardston flea market it's a lot better than the Grafton one..
Do you mean the Rietta Flea Market? I went there last year. Great flea market, but it is VERY far from me. It's about a 2 hour drive, or more. I'll try to go back next year.
@@fleabittenadventures Yes the Rietta is the correct name.. It's one of my favorites.. Glad you have been there and 2 hours is quiet the ride.. The Brimfield Flea is pretty awesome also if you never been..
